Mostly all strawberries on the bottom of the baskets were like this.
Millie B.

I came home last night with a Strawberry flat that I purchased only to be frustrated when taking strawberries out to a different container. The strawberries on top were big and beautiful but on the bottom of the box the strawberries were bad. So basically felt that's this is an issue the bad soggy produce is in the bottom of the baskets tucked away out of sight. I called and spoke to BILLY and had horrible customer experience. I informed him of my experience and I did not want money back or more produce I just wanted to make them aware of what had happen. Extremely rude told me to come by the fruit stand and see other baskets they have so that I can show him what I call "bad". Who has time to go do that? Ugh!! I again told him I'm just calling so that you guys are aware of your bad fruit. I don't want the money or replace produce. Billy then said "Go buy your food somewhere else" & call got disconnected. I will NEVER go to them ever again. There is other farms with better customer service. & obviously there's been multiple complaints about BILLY & the produce going bad.

Putting our tree on our car!

I've been coming here for 5 years. Ever since my Great-Grandmother passed, I felt that this needed to be the fruit stand to go to since this was hers. We always get our Christmas tree here and whenever I'm in the area I stop by and get some delicious fruit or veggies. I've never had anyone be rude to me or treat me badly. It's sad that other's have. I've even purchased bread here and cookies and they have always been fresh and very flavorful. I can't wait to go again to see what new fresh produce is making it's way to the stands.

Some delicious produce!

I've passed this location everyday on my way to work. I had a day off today so I decided to stop in and see what they had to offer. It was very busy and I can understand why! The prices are very reasonable and the produce looks super fresh. In addition to the produce, they have honey, baked goods, almonds, and flowers. I purchased way more than I intended to, but everything looked and smelled amazing. I got 3 packs of strawberries, a box of boysenberries, a bag of plums, a bag of apricots, and a basket of jalapeño peppers. All of this only set me back about $15. I couldn't wait to try the boysenberries, I have never had them before. They were good, but the strawberries! Probably the best I've ever had. I'm not ashamed to say some of them didn't make it home. To be honest, I had read the Yelp! reviews and was worried from all the reviews that mentioned bad customer service. My first experience there was a great one. The staff was friendly and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to check this place out. Support your local farmers!

Today, July 15, we picked up 4 ears of bicolored corn for $1. These were sweet!! :-)

We had to regroup and were headed to another place when we got a call back from The Fruityard stating that they had our reservation down under a different name because it was written down wrong and could not be deciphered. Matt was very rude to us at the beginning when we checked in a very condescending tone. He should definitely not be THR person who greets guests when they check in as his demeanor is deplorable! What saved the day for us was our server, Shelley, whose constant attention and sense of humor were fantastic! Her menu suggestions were all spot on, our water glasses never got under half full and she brought smiles to all of our faces. We all enjoyed our menu choices, and the salad bar was fantastic as always!

I don't like clam chowder, but since it was Friday, that is all they had. So, I got it for my son. I really wish restaurants would serve more than one type of soup on Friday, if they're going to have clam chowder, as it is my least favorite. The lasagna was delicious, however, I thought the price was very high, and they charged me a fee for a to go order: $1.50. For a total of $27.50!! Not a bargain. They were packed. The parking lot and inside the restaurant were full! It was a Friday night. They gave me my order pretty fast, and the hostess was friendly. The ambiance is beautiful outside. They have ducks, hens, and roosters running free. I love to feed the birds, it is my favorite part of going to The Fruit Yard.

I will definitely be re-ordering more of them soon. Absolutely love all of the snacks this place has to offer!!…read more Being a lover of charcuterie boards, I decided to go all out and make a premium creation using pistachios and lucque olives. The lucque olives are not your typical briny olives that we get at the market, and the flavor was fresh and delicious. As you would expect picking a fresh olive I would imagine. We tried both the roasted garlic & herbs as well as roasted garlic & jalapeno and herbs. Both were an amazing addition. Another delicious treat was Hunter's pistachios. These are not simply dusted like you may find at the market, they really flavor them well and you can see and taste the seasonings on the shell. We tried both the mild (hatch chilis, garlic, and sage), as well as the hot (jalapeno, garlic, and sage). Both were truly amazing, although my husband preferred the hot variety as they had a nice kick. We also were able to try some pure lemon syrup. With a sweet lemony flavor, it is truly good on so many things. We enjoy it as a glaze on chicken, fish, or in tea. I will be trying it on ice cream next!!! We keep coming up with new uses all the time as we love the flavor of this syrup. I am dying to restock and try the sweetened and dipped orange and lemon slices the next time. These treats are healthy and delicious, and we are very happy to have tried Hunter's Homegrown!
