"My name is Stuart and I am a very satisfied 9 month resident of the apartments at Halstead Salem…read moreStation. During relaxing walks through Leslie's Retreat Park, along the North River, I had admired the modern architecture of the Halstead Apartments. When it came time to leave Salem's picturesque McIntire district, it was obvious that I would move to a modern Halstead Salem Station apartment! There are no regrets! The riverside / parkside environment is relaxing, and very close to Salem's shops and museum. A 5 minute walk to Swampscott, Boston and New York bound trains. More importantly, Halstead is also walking distance to relaxing Salem Harbor, Willow's Park, Winter Island, and a short drive to Beverly's Dane Street Beach, and the beautiful beaches of the Cape Ann oceanfront . The Halstead apartments are modern, well equipped and spacious, with much storage space. Most importantly, is the absolutely excellent management staff at Halstead (Jennifer, Brian and Kayla) are more like family, very competent, and always ready to assist. Oh yes, did I mention the facilities of Building 1, extensive indoor exercise areas, meeting rooms and entertainment / social places - including a magnificent roof deck with all required facilities for a relaxing summer gathering of family and friends." Don't hesitate, 5 Stars!! Stuart M.

I left a review one year ago, what a difference a year makes. Under new management; emails to the…read moreoffice, and upper management "E" go unanswered. I have had a black fly infestation that keeps getting covered up, with no real solution to why they keep coming in my window. Ive asked for a plan to solve this multiple times, and no response. I clean flys daily near my window, couch and floor. This is not the maintenance guys fault, this is a bigger issue that management is ignoring. Previous manager Jenn had heart, she cared about her residents and respected us, in knowing this is our home and not just a business. Jenn and the maintenance personnel left, and are now working for a new property. We were never notified by upper management of a plan to cover the transition. Quite frankly if I owned this place I would want to know this information, "E" (upper management) should have taken a major role in making sure we were ok, and should be held to a standard of answering her emails so people don't feel ignored. I wonder if they would want to live with black flys in their living space? Or have emails go unanswered? The new property manager also does not answer her emails, and seems to have closed door policy. New staff are not welcoming, almost seem annoyed when you need something. This place felt like home before, now it is most definitely not somewhere I will be staying long term.

I lived at Traders Row for a little over 2 years and it was by far the worst living experience I…read morehave ever had. This is a long review, but I hope people read before they make the same mistake I did of signing a lease there. We lived in two different units during our time at Traders Row, In the first, we had upstairs neighbors that would stomp around at all hours of the day/night. After a year, we were able to move to a top floor apartment in another building, in the hopes that we wouldn't have the same noise issue. But even in the top-floor unit, there were kids running and screaming both next door and below us, as well as loud music and yelling adults. It was absolute torture. We were paying $3,000+ a month, for a place that we were miserable in and would dread coming home to. Perhaps the biggest issue with Traders Row, however, is the management led by Danielle, the property manager. They are extremely difficult to communicate with, and I had to follow up on nearly every email I sent because I wouldn't receive responses, or they would pick and choose what they wanted to address in your email. We had an issue/confusion with our autopay/rent amount towards the end of our time there and I asked if we could see another copy of our lease to confirm we had all the details about what we were being charged with. Danielle seemed reluctant to give us anything in writing, and after a lot of back and forth we were told that the leasing office doesn't have access to old leases and they would need to request it. Unsurprisingly, we never received the lease and no one followed up with us. In terms of the amenities advertised, you will not be able to enjoy them unless you like to be surrounded by screaming kids and disrespectful adults. You're only supposed to have two guests allowed in the pool, but people would bring way more than that, and I never once saw the lifeguard checking passes. People would also have large parties near the grill area which is supposed to be used by everyone, and would bring their kids to the gym which also isn't supposed to be allowed. Physical safety is also a concern at Traders Row. There is a homeless man who hangs out in the parking lot of the shopping plaza next to Traders Row and he would sometimes wander down into the complex at night. I ran into him a couple times when I was taking our dog out before bed. He started yelling at me and made me feel very uncomfortable and afraid. Dog safety also seems to be an issue as they sent out an email at one point informing everyone that a puppy had eaten some weed found in Traders Row and that it was "fighting for its life." Not sure if that was true, or if they were just trying to use a scare tactic so that people stopped smoking, but either way - not a good look. We ended up having to pay to break our lease early, but it was the best decision we've ever made. I am so happy that my time at Traders Row is over. Do yourself a favor - don't move here, under any circumstances.

Shane is an absolute Godsend…read more I came on my building's board of trustees to an absolute mess in 2018. We had a property management firm with a name that rhymes with "Parvest" that frankly did nothing but take condo fees - they didn't actually manage anything. We had bad relationships with our vendors, nothing ever got fixed, and everyone in the building was at best confused, at worst outright suspicious about the property management firm and the Board. I knew right away I'd found the right manager when I met Shane in late 2020. He's straight to the point, direct, and fast to respond (first time I called him was over Thanksgiving weekend - he called me back within 30 seconds). When he started in March 2021, he went to work right away. First thing he learned: our building was insolvent due to Parvest's poor management. In plain English, this means we would have been uninsurable and the banks issuing everyone's mortgages would have demanded repayment in full. NOT GOOD. But Shane saved our asses, creating a plan to raise the necessary money - and preparing for what could have been a difficult meeting, which he handled like a champ. He was able to calmly, plainly communicate why condo fees would have to increase. As a board member, I feel he presented this bad news in a mature, understandable way. Additionally, Shane forwent payment for months, until we had enough funds. The man went above and beyond. In my time on the board, I saw Shane handle everything from contractors with dishonest contracts to people with difficult personalities, all with unflappable grace. He can easily dissect condo docs and contracts and has an impeccable grasp on condo law - and can smell a bullshitter a mile away. Random fact: Shane worked on Wall Street before going into property management, and it shows. A year later, we're solvent, we have a reserve, we're paying our bills. We're amending our condo docs to modernize them (they hadn't been updated since 1986) and can start taking on projects and hiring better services. There's still a lot of work to be done, but things are going in the right direction. All in all, I have nothing but good to say about this business. Shane saved our association (and each of our investments) from ruin multiple times over. I'd recommend him to anyone, especially if you're sick of bad management companies that do nothing (doubly so if they rhyme with "Parvest"). 10/10, would hire Dynamic again!

One of a floor stain in the the bathroom that was there before the move-in. The other photos were of three items that we forgot and they claimed that the deposit of nearly $2000 was forfeited and added a fine of over $400 for 10 minutes of time to remove a 2 foot stepladder and two bags. They are threatening legal action and credit reporting to intimidate and outright steal money from people. I am an American but I know that there are many foreign born people living there that are probably being taken advantage of by this company. They claimed the carpet was dirty and needed replacing, but we vacuumed and cleaned it thoroughly and left it as good or better than when we arrived. In reality they are doing a remodel which includes replacing the carpet with hardwood floor and plan to pay for the work by stealing money from their customers. When we requested photos proving the carpet was dirty/damaged they declined because they didn't have the proof. Management never showed up at the appointed time to verify that the property was cleaned up to their standards thus voiding any claims that they may have.
