Each unit has its own outside run through a dog door - so the dogs don't have to wait to be taken out if they need to go. The buildings are heated/air conditioned - so great! They get to go out and play in well-kept grassy areas SIX times per day. Bottom line, they treated my dogs like they would their own - with respect, and care, and attention. And for all that, the price was very reasonable. I will definitely be using this kennel again.

The owner lacks people skills, but I'm not holding that against her-we all have our own issues. The price is comparable to others in the area, the grounds outside are clean with easy access to I-95. The bad and ugly are too numerous to overcome for the good. The minute the door opened the place WREAKED! The floors looked clean, but I'm guessing not anywhere near sanitary! Crates (big and small) are simply all over-dogs barking, howling, screaming and crying. Because I had no other reservations, we left the dogs (mistake). During the trip, they gave the dogs wet food without asking me -which, of course, led to diarrhea, but no one called to let me know that -I found out when I called in. The dogs had poo in their fur -the younger had it on his neck and head ...??? The sleeping crate had crystallized urine in it (I had washed it out inside before bringing it into the house) and the sleeping towel I left was nowhere to be found (how long had my pup been sleeping on a bare, urine soaked crate?). I had to hose down the crate before bringing it in the house. There are no barriers or sight blockers between large kennels, so dogs can bite at each other through the wire. They also tried to send home a bone with us that had obviously been chewed in, but did not belong to us, leaning me to wonder what else is being shared between the various boarders. This was quite a new experience for me-usually I am asked before my dogs are given anything I didn't pre-approve or bring due to allergy problems and gastrointestinal issues. I've never heard digs wailing or crying like that before in a kennel--but perhaps it was just the temperament of the particular fogs-still heartbreaking, and not good for my babies to be around. I do not think there is any malice or bad will going on-I think they were truly concerned about the dogs eating habits (I was clear that was normal for them), but it's clearly not where I want my pups to stay in the future. Clearer communication and a better smelling/clean place, plus concern for clean sleeping crate would have made this a much better review.

I use this service for a…read moremid-day walks when I am at work and for times when I am on vacation for as long as a weekend or a week. They are always professional. When I am on vacation they bring in boxes or newspapers that may be delivered during my absence so that the house looks "lived in". They treat my fur babies Haley (fawn pug) and Snuffy (black pug) with all the love and care I would myself. When they come to my house Haley and Snuffy are so excited for their upcoming walk. They are very flexible with my erratic schedule. They have even come to my house for unscheduled visits when I did not make it home on time. Once when I was on vacation, on a cruise where I could not be reached in an emergency, this service was caring for Haley and Snuffy. Haley was injured in between visits (most likely horse playing with Snuffy). This service recognized her distress and whisked my Haley to the vet and got her the care she needed. Unknowingly, at the time I signed up for this service, I was given a vet authorization form. This allowed All Breeds to act in my absence as the caregiver in the event my dogs needed vet care. I would have never even known this form would be needed in my absence. This was the first thing the vet asked for when Haley was brought in by All Breeds. You see, my Haley had slipped four disks and if she did not get the care she needed quickly she may never have walked again. The level of professionalism and caring does not stop there. Haley required surgery and extensive aftercare. She required more medication than a human requires after heart surgery. All Breeds administered her required medication at each visit as required. Today Haley is not only walking, but she is running and playing like a puppy. This is why All Breeds Dog Walking and Pet Care will always be my #1 Dog Walking Service.

We cannot say enough good things about our experience with Calypso Kennels!…read more Fester had never stayed at a kennel before -- he has always stayed with family or friends because he is very particular about who he is comfortable coming into contact with and has quite a bit of anxiety. We were SO relieved when we found Calypso and learned that they offer no-contact boarding. Knowing there was an option that would keep both Fester and the staff safe while still making sure he was well cared for gave us so much peace of mind, especially since we were going to be out of the country for an extended trip. We were told that by about day four, Fester had warmed up and settled into his routine, and that he was on his best behavior throughout his stay! When we picked him up, he was happy, healthy, and clearly had been very well taken care of. We also want to give a huge thank you to every member of the staff who helped care for him. Fester is getting older and requires quite a bit of medication on a daily basis, so we know his care was not exactly simple. Knowing that everyone took the time to follow his routine, give him his medications, respect his boundaries, and keep our guy comfortable while we were thousands of miles away means more to us than we can say. Before this trip, the thought of boarding Fester was honestly something we worried about. Now, having a place we know can safely and successfully care for him gives us such a sense of relief for future trips. Thank you to everyone at Calypso Kennels for taking such good care of our guy. First, I will share that our fourth Deep Run lab is a 15 months old, happy, snugly and a bundle of sunshine (his name is Sonny). Also at home we have our wonderfully sophisticated 5 year old Deep Run Lab, who is just two weeks older that our neighbor's super fun, gregarious Deep Run Lab. We also have our 13 year old Deep Run Lab Beaux, who is slowing down but all too happy to be there for some loving. Our first Deep Run lab, Lucky, is at the farm in sky now. He was, by most all accounts, the most perfect dog and we were blessed to have him for over 10 years. We also have two other friends (exclusive of our neighbor) that have Deep Run labs based on our recommendation that are very happy with them. My mother and father-in-law got an older dog from Deep Run. Skye was 3, if I recall correctly when they got her and she had a wonderful 7+ years with them. My family started with Deep Run as a recommendation from my sister who had a deep run Lab. I simply wanted to share that my family and I know several others that have had nothing but exceptional experiences with Deep Run. I recommend them and have recommended them very highly without concern. We also have a wonderful local vet (Boston area) who asked us to share our breeders information when asked for a recommendation of a Lab breeder based from their experience with all of ours and our neighbor's lab. They've cared for five deep run labs now. I cant speak the circumstances mentioned in the unfavorable reviews. I do know when a pup is not well, its heartbreaking , you do everything to make it better and its tough. I wish them all the best.
