I shop at this particular Shoppers Drug Mart a couple times a month. Usually because I have run out…read moreof grapefruit juice (which I need to take with a medication) and they're one of the two pharmacies within driving distance to my house that carries this particular juice. Tonight, the juice was $5.99 which is a little steep, but I'm used to paying that much for it at Shoppers so, that's fine. What I took exception to was the full price juice with an expiry date within the same week ( i.e. good until December 10). It takes me two weeks to go through 2 L of juice, therefore only half of it was going to be consumed by the best before date. I asked the cashier (who was very polite) if they could check and see if there was juice with a better freshness date - and if not, if it could be discounted. He phoned his supervisor....No and no. I told him that that's fine but I want them to know they lost a pretty good customer because of their non customer-centric policy. What I didn't mention (because it was only the cashier I spoke with) - every time I walk into their store I walk out with about $60-$80 typically worth of products but I'll be taking future business to Rexall from now on. I prefer Shoppers to Rexall (because of selection) but Rexall excels in customer service and I have no doubt this would have been handled differently by Rexall (they would have discounted it by 50% and apologized for the oversight because old juice should automatically be discounted).

My pain medication needs renewing every three months. Without fail every 3 months they miss at least one of my medications. It takes days and multiple phone calls to get the medicine. Not only am I dealing with the pain from not having any medication but I also have to deal with the withdrawal symptoms as well. In the past I even received a prescription with someone else's name on it. If you value your health at all STAY AWAY FROM SHOPPER'S DRUG MART!

I went to this store yesterday (August 20th) to drop off three packages at Canada Post. I apologized and told her I had no money on me as I was just dropping packages. I had previously been provided a complimentary face mask when I had done a trip to shop there two weeks ago. She was extremely rude, disrespectful and kind of happy to tell me she can't give me a free mask even after I told her I had no money. I tried to request a facemark through Canada Post and she told me she could not leave her makeup counter to go ask them. Any other day of the week, or even by the minute, people like her are nowhere to be found near the makeup counter. I have seen this lady tons of times before and she is never at the makeup counter. She spends all her time trying to avoid customers and does even know about general questions. I once asked her where a certain perfume was located, and instead of even trying to look it up in the system she automatically told me they don't have that one. Yesterday was even worse. After declining my request due to being at "the makeup counter", she told me I can go purchase a mask even when I pointed out I had no money. She proceeded to give shrug her shoulders and seemed glad that I was so upset. This employee is a prime example of why customer service requires genuine human empathy and compassion. I changed my family's prescriptions over to Rymal Gage Pharmacy, from Rexall about 6 -8 months ago…read more I wish I had done this earlier! They are great and I would recommend them to my family and friends. First I will tell you my not so great experience with Rexall for several years. All the years I went to Rexall, their dispensing fees kept getting higher and higher and my insurance only covered up to a certain amount for the dispensing fee, so I was having to pay over $2.00 for each prescription. I get prescriptions fairly frequently, yet no one even knew me there. There were many many times I would call in for a repeat days before I was going to pick it up, and then it wouldn't be there, so I'd have to wait at least 30 min for them to get it for me. Or if I had no repeats left on my prescription and they had to fax my doctors office, there were several times it was forgotten. So I would then have to go back the next day or so to pick it up, and again it wasn't there. My doctor has told me that she has gotten a fax from them a few times in one week and she assured me she sent them back to Rexall, yet Rexall still wouldn't have them ready for me. That was becoming more and more a frequent occurrence. I think they are just too busy to handle the amount of patients/prescriptions they get and can easily miss things or make mistakes in orders. And of course no one has time to go through your meds to make sure you can pick most up the same day. They just don't have the time to really help you. I don't really blame the pharmacists themselves. I feel it may be lack of staffing compared to the amount of patients they have. Enough about Rexall. Rymal and Gage Pharmacy: I just wish I had known about Rymal Gage Pharmacy earlier. They've made my prescription ordering and pick up so much easier. Their dispensing fee is reasonable as now I do not have to pay ANY co-pay for my prescriptions. They personally knew me and remember my and my family after only meeting us once! The regular girl assistant (Sorry, I cant think of her name), that has been working there since I started going is very friendly, helpful, and knows us by name. They have faxed my doctor to change quantity of pills to coincide reorder times, on my behalf so that I can make less visits there and pick up more of my prescriptions at one time. I really like the pharmacist Ashok; I find him very friendly and helpful. They are also very fast. I never ever wait long to pick up a prescription (unlike Rexall). And I also noticed that a lot of their over the counter medicines seem to be cheaper then the big chain drug stores. Thanks Rymal Gage Pharmacy.

Shoppers has now closed the case as they said it was already activated. It hasn't been activated as Home Depot says there are no funds on the card. No one has helped me retrieve the 100 dollars back. They have literally the WORST customer service I have ever dealt with in my life. No one is taking responsibility for this. Last time I checked, this was considered fraud. Once I did a bit more research, I found out that Shopper's is one of the worst places to buy gift cards from as this happens often and no one has received their money back. Hi. I have been in the Shoppers at New and Appleby maney…read moremaney times. There is what I think may be a manager, she has strawberry blonde hair and about 50 years of age. She has to be one of the rudest person in that store. I see and hear her cutting of costumers and raising her voice to us when she is busy. As a costumer I do not know when you are in a bad mood or busy. She is vocal when letting a customer know she's not in a happy place. This women needs to go and find a different job.
