I was told by a clearly overworked and fed up employee that they wouldn't recommend it as they watched the manager use expired, smelly, sticky chicken to make the meal. He apparently just washed the chickens off and cooked them up. Thankful that this employee had enough morality to tell customers of this practice, probably saved my life. And definitely saved me $20 for 2 measly pieces of chicken. If these are the standards behind the scenes of a self proclaimed health food store, from a manager no less, I cannot imagine what else is going on. This was the only online healthfood store with free shipping after a minimum that I knew of at the time. Every single food item that should be cooled in some way was NEVER EVER sent with cooling packs, allowing the perishable products to be unsafe to consume by the time they got to Nova Scotia through Canada Post. They also send you stuff that's already expired or extremely close to the expiry date, and say it's OK because when your order was placed it was not expired yet. One time they refunded me on a couple of items that they sent to me spoiled and said they don't normally do this and I should consider it a one time thing... basically blaming me because they can't ship things correctly. Very unprofessional. Even before the COVID era, they did a lot of paid webinars on really quacky health topics. Info you can find in abundance in the internet for free and they were charging for it. I'd recommending avoiding this company, though I cannot speak for their in-person locations.

When it was my turn, I asked which cash we would be using and where I should put my basket because it's really awkward and painful to have to keep bending down to get items. He responded in a condescending manner that most people only buy 1-2 items and basically nobody uses the carts. I responded by suggesting they put a small bench at the front right under the cash on the customer side so we could put our baskets down while we unload groceries. He basically scoffed at me. So sad!
