She wanted a private affair for the 60+ friends & family we invited months ago! George offered his recommendations for round tables vs. rectangular, port o potty for the men and use the single bathroom for the women inside and heaters if it was going to be a cold day! January usually is! He helped me decide on extra chafing dishes, 2 extra rectangular tables and 2 extra black linens. I ended up adding more white chairs and green astroturf to hide the cracks in the driveway. We had 3 of our own pop-up tents and tables and together, it was a HUGE success! Everyone complimented me about the set up! only during the cake & tribute video did people go in the house. We expected people to go in the house and backyard which was set up for table games and corn hole but only the young people did that! The canopy had lights that turned on in the evening and by then, most people left as it was an afternoon party! Close family stayed and we loved hanging out there at night and watched the tribute video again projected on the white wall of the canopy! Highly recommend George & South Bay Party Rentals! His prices are very reasonable too. He splits the total in half and you pay the other half when he delivers. For our event, he delivered 2 days before which greatly helped in preparation! I had made my initial deposits and reserved the pictured canopy, tables, chairs and table linens. It accommodated quite a few people (50+ guests). The canopy was set up in our backyard. Initially, we had planned to have the tent grounded to the grass but with the rain, last minute pivoted to the side of the house. One star has been removed, mainly because the communication closer to event was a little unclear. Specifically, because the event took place on the 3rd (right after new years), it was unclear when the set-up would take place. I did end up texting and reaching out and the correspondence came later in the day by Jorge. In addition, the rain delayed the set-up time and we did have to make up the last minute pivot. I found out later that due to the rain, his co-worker left early sick and he came alone to set up the canopy the night before. He did a great job securing the canopy and appreciated his service. Like mentioned above, it all worked out at the end and would definitely use South Bay Party Rentals/ Jorge again for future events.

    First off, let me just say that I was pleasantly surprised that this was a black owned company…read more When I called to get information for a jumper rental, the person I spoke with was helpful and polite. I was able to get everything scheduled pretty quickly after our conversation. I have no complaints in regards to customer service. The price for the jumper we chose was a bit more compared to the other party supply companies I had considered because there was a $30 delivery fee tacked on from Carson to Long Beach. I thought that was a bit odd because we can't pick up and set up the jumper ourselves, so it would have to be delivered. Nonetheless, I paid the $150 because it was for my daughter's party and we needed a jumper. They were 15 minutes late, which I was very understanding about for two reasons: the first being that she did call and let me know that they would be late and because it was still well before the party started. My issue arose, however, when we told them where we wanted the jumper placed. We've had jumpers at the location before and typically, if the jumper won't fit in the back, they will let us know before set up. That did not occur and she tried to tell us that the jumper was fine where it was. However, we discovered that once it was blown up, it was hitting the power line, which we felt might be unsafe for the kids and could potentially damage the jumper. The person setting up went around the jumper trying to move it around and make it work but it was proving to be unsuccessful because we just weren't comfortable with how it might still hit the power lines above. So, we apologized and asked if they could move it to the front for safety reasons. She finally agreed to move it but not before letting us know that we would be charged an additional $25, even though they were late and I would think she should know if it would fit or not before inflating it. This brought our grand total to $175 for a party jumper, which was quite excessive in my honest opinion. Overall, the jumper was fine and the kids had fun, but I can't say that I will be using this company again.

The staff was extremely wonderful to deal with and very accommodating with our requests and I immediately knew I was in good hands as I had over several vendors I was dealing with for the party and trusted they would deliver. Showed up right on time on the day of the party, setup a very elegant canopy showed us how to use the equipment and was also right on time to take down everything. Highly recommended and will certainly be using this company again! They made the process simple, straightforward and stress free.

I needed help with layout, party functionality, invite logistics - just overall consulting - oh, and did I mention it was last minute? I'm convinced, Dara consulted with me more times than any other party planner and helped me decide what activities made sense for my guests, what type of food, she even helped me determine who I should invite! She helped me sneak certain things behind my husband's back and helped coordinate with the party rental company to get it all set up. I can't say enough about how well she handles conflict. ***She customized my invoice so everything I needed was clearly listed and priced out so there was no confusion*** The party was a success! My husband was surprised even though he almost ruined our set up plans because he left extremely late which sent me into a frenzy! Dara calmed me down and sent me back in my house to do other things while she and her staff member set up. She even stayed a while to make sure guests were happy once the party started. What a lifesaver!!! My party was about a month before the quarantine and I am so glad I was able to use her services and will use her again for my next party once the quarantine ends! It was my first time ordering balloons for an event, and I had so many questions. I contacted maybe 5 other balloon vendors, and Dara was by far the most attentive to our needs. She also provided the best price for what we were looking for. Dara made us an impressive 30 ft balloon arch for our local school graduation. There was a big challenge with the wind upon installation, but Dara was able to problem solve and make it work! We will definitely use In Awe Events in the future.
