I had issues with the first place I went to (lashes del sol) my lashes on my left eye looked noticeably less full than the lashes on my right eye, and the second place (kist by mist), even though she tried the best she could to fix the first job, still wasn't that great, and I kept losing so many lashes! One of my close friends recommended Melissa, as she saw her the week before, so I booked my appointment right away.. and this was the first time I actually fell asleep while someone doing my lashes. The experience is so relaxing, and I am one of those people that can never sleep easily, let alone someone doing my lashes... My lashes looked awesome after Melissa was done... and I barely lost any lashes for the (almost) 2 weeks that I've had them. I've never had someone "cure" my lashes and honestly, it works... I'm pretty gentle when it comes to my extensions... but this definitely made a difference. I finally decided to splurge for myself. Google and Yelp reviews suggested the Lash Lounge was best in Tucson. Their price for the full set ($89 with Selena) seemed reasonable and they were able to set me up with an appointment by the best week. My first impression when I walked in was that the salon was cute and clean. I had to wait about 15 minutes past my appointment time but that wasn't too bad considering their waiting room is comfortable and they offer you water. Selena led me to a private room and I laid on an incredibly soft cot lined with fleece blankets. It was so comfortable that I'm certain people fall asleep during their visits. I know I did. After anchoring my bottom lashes with tape that was almost on my eye balls, the lash application process took about two hours and was for the most part relaxing. However at some points the lash glue would seep into my eyes and sting causing me to tear up like crazy. I asked the technician if that was normal and she mentioned it happens to some people especially during the initial visit because we are just not used to having implements so close to our eyes. Makes sense. The final clean up is removing glue and lashes that inadvertently end up where they don't belong. It was hard to open my eyes at that point having had them closed for a few hours but Selena was efficient. Overall I like my lashes but I think I'm going to go more dramatic for the fill in four weeks.
