Loomis Express - Should be named "Loomis Turtle Speed and Maybe Delivery" I get regular Shipments out of Ontario and Loomis is consistently late with every delivery. 7 to 14 days for a parcel from Mississauga, Ontario to Nova Scotia is their best with damaged product not unusual. I end up calling for tracking of shipment for every order. While the customer service staff is friendly and courteous, Loomis is out of touch with customer service/satisfaction. I live 30 minutes from their Dartmouth facility on a main highway route. If you are looking for a timely delivery of your packages DO NOT USE Loomis. Unfortunately the company I purchased from explained they have a contract with Loomis and now they too will lose a customer. Absolutely awful company with ZERO customer service. DHL 'Express' shipment has now been in Loomis' hands for 13 days. Multiple requests for address info, all answered promptly. Can't seem to get the right address on the box, I guess. Now the address is marked as 'updated', oh wait, now it needs more info again! What's this? Now it's been 'missorted' and the delivery is 'on hold'. 40 minutes and counting on hold this morning with customer service, and still waiting for someone to pick up. Tried a different prompt, and someone picked up immediately. Maybe they should move some of the other dept employees into customer service? I ordered a product from Ontario to be delivered to Halifax. The tracking indicates that the order arrived in Halifax on Jan 21. I live 20 minutes from the courier yet they could only manage to deliver half the order yesterday, with a promise of an early delivery today for the other half. As of this writing it is 4:15 pm and the part has not arrived despite several calls to the "customer service" line. Dealing with these people is ridiculous and the only thing they provide other than an attitude is lame excuses and they offer ZERO useful assistance other than, just be patient. Loomis is absolutely the most inefficient and bumbling organization I've ever dealt with. I'll steer clear of them - you should too. Just look at the ridiculously similar reviews. read more

Absolutely nightmare that has almost made a grown man cry. I can't get through to them as their telephone number won't work from my Roger's phone. Some deliveries made it to me but most don't. Some orders are left (for anyone to steal) in apartment lobbies, this is a favorite Loomis trick that they do all the time. Customer service, when reached from an American number was not the least bit helpful and now i can't reach them with the American number. Never have i had this big of a headache in my life. Stay away from Walmart and Loomis. Spoke to an angel from Loomis call center and hopefully things will get better. Thank you JJ. read more

Most useless company on the face of the earth. Stupid, irresponsible and my parcel that's been on the truck since Friday is still not here 3 days later. no help from ANYONE. Wouldn't answer my questions about my parcel that went from DHL to them to be delivered to me...all she told me was you will have to deal with DHL not us, well my parcel is with your company so why can you not give me any information on it, same answer you will have to contact DHL. read more

Loomis was sub-contracted by DHL to deliver automotive parts to my home in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia this week. I made the huge mistake of enabling delivery without signature. Sure enough the package was never delivered, though I received a text and email saying it has been delivered at the very moment I was in my driveway, working on my car. DHL did an "investigation". LOL. They responded that the "package was delivered to my address at the time specified". It was, of course, not. The driver for Loomis who made this run to Lunenburg County is a liar and a thief. I do hope Karma catches up with him/her very shortly. Will never use DHL or Loomis for anything ever again. read more

Please do not use this company, thier drivers steal from seniors, my parents ordered a mattress from Walmart and the driver said he delivered it but I have footage showing nothing delivered, the driver did show up but he didnt drop off anything. I contacted Loomis and they took over 10 days to tell me that they cant do anything for us that we have to call Walmart and ask for a refund or for them to re-ship the mattress. Very poor service. If i could rate half a star, that's what this "company" would get. The online tracking for my package has not been updated, very very unsatisfied. I ordered this service which should have been 5-9 business days and its now been 11! I cannot call them because they have no phone number that actually works. Why is this business even functioning. Horrible. I do a lot of cross border business. They messed up two shipments of mine so badly, the companies I purchased from refunded the (DHL) shipping price. DHL is wonderful. Loomis sucks. The driver for our area isn't keen on making a repeat visit to deliver your parcel if it's the day before a holiday weekend. That being said, they've improved as far as my service goes. Don't know if that's true for the rest of the area. I hope it's just a matter of time before this area has enough business for a true DHL outlet. read more

In my experience, Loomis is incompetent and I recommend engaging another carrier if you ever want your package delivered. My experience is that their online tracking information did not reflect reality nor agree with what was said by their 'service' agents. A forty-eight hour lapse before attempting a re-delivery is unacceptable. Loomis did not call as promised nor was the phone number of the "supervising account manager" answered during multiple attempts over two business days (nor was I allowed to leave a message). These are not acceptable business practices. I will never engage Loomis in the future: instead I will use a carrier who is capable of delivering. read more

If I could give zero stars I would! Customer service is horrible. My items are at their location but they would NOT deliver them to me. When you call customer service they respond well so you would think that your issue is resolved. NOPE! It's honestly beyond ridiculous. It is impossible to get a hold of anybody through the phone. The number online (1 855 256 6647) goes to a call center with no connection to anybody's files (or so they claim) so they can only put a note on the computer for someone to call you. When that person calls, which is inevitably when you are not next to the phone, they leave another number (1 877 452 5856) with an extension number. You can dial that extension until you fingers fall off, the person is forever "on another call or away from his desk" and so are all the other people at the end of the other extensions. Impossible to schedule a delivery. It may be faster if I drive the 4 hours to their office in Dartmouth and pick it up myself. read more

Loomis is absolutely terrible. I missed their initial delivery attempt and then spent 2 weeks on the phone with their office in Brampton, ON attempting to trigger a second delivery attempt. Spoke with 6 different reps throughout the two weeks, supervisors included, each promising to deal with the issue and call me back. Not once did anyone call me back, no second delivery attempt was ever made and the initial delivery driver failed to leave a notice so I was without the Door Knocker Code they require to rebook online. Ultimately, I returned the item by calling the manufacturer as it was too heavy for me to pick up on my own. In all honesty, this was the absolute worst customer service experience I have encountered to date. I would NOT recommend Loomis Express to anyone who is concerned with speed, competency or reliability of service. read more

Worst carrier ever encountered. First attempt for delivery on a Friday. They leave a note saying they will try again the following Friday. I call Loomis Express on Monday to find out if that is OK to leave the note saying the can give my parcel to my neighbour. They tell me my my package is on his way for a seconf attempt of delivery and that it's too late to drop the note on my door. When I confront that the notice they left me on Friday says they would try again the next Friday they tell me the driver has made a mistake, they always try again the next business day. Of course, no answer to my question asking why on the paper they leave there are days to tick for the next attempt instead of a general (we'll deliver the next business day).... So I tell them, since the mistake is the driver's, you have to come deliver a 3rd time. They wanted to charge me $5 and told me that if I am not happy I can call DHL because the parcel was apparently transiting from DHL. I call DHL, (very nice customer service by the way) DHL lady tells me she does not understand, the parcel was never in DHL's hands, calls Loomis for a good 5 min and tells me then that I have to call Loomis back and force them to make a third attempt. I call back Loomis, I litterally spend 15 minutes talking to the employee, asking to speak to her boss until she finally does it and confirms I won't be charged for a 3rd delivery to take place on Wednesday. Monday morning, I post a huge sign on my door with the paper signed for the delivery guy to give the parcel to my neighbour who I know will be there the full day Wednesday. Of course Wednesday nothing... So I keep waiting the rest of the week nothing... This morning, I take down the sign to have my paper with the tracking number, calls Loomis in the hope of having the parcel re-delivered to my working address (at that point, I was ready to pay the $5 or more it would take). She tells me that the package is on its way (seriously?????) and that nothing can now be done because after the 3rd attempt, they don't deliver even if we want to pay extra. I push, I try to talk to a manager, nothing, they won't do it and - I quote - "miss, you'd better come pick it up or we'll send it back"!!!!! So here I am, stuck to spending 1h30 in my car (luckily I have a car because their facility is so remote) to go pick up that parcel, crossing my fingers for them not to have sent it back (oh - I probably should have mentionned that I ask the lady 10 times to write in their system not to send it back, that I would go pick it up but guess what... "we cannot write anything in the system, after 3 attempts, it just gets sent back".... Oh dear... It took me 2 hours to calm down after the phone call.... And I have yet to see if I can get my parcel tonight. WORST CARRIER EVER. read more

Loomis did not attempt delivery or give me a pickup location. Now going on one week for an item shipped dhl express. Driver did not leave notification nor ring buzzer for apartment. Avoid at all cost. Driver entered 'recipient moved' after failing to deliver. I had not moved. read more
