Loomies isn't just another biker café - it's more an institution. It's run by bikers, so it's set up to cater for their needs. That said, non-bikers are welcome too, if you want a good pit-stop on the A32 or A272.
It's located just by the intersection of the A272 and A32 - both very popular roads for bikers (next to the petrol station on the A32). There's a well surfaced, gently sloping car park - perfect for parking bikes. There's seating both indoors and out, with a couple of outdoor tables under cover.
Inside, there's a rack for storing crash helmets, and cloths with bottles of visor cleaner: essential for summer evening riding.
The menu is classic road cafe stuff, but they pride themselves on their Angus steak burgers. Otherwise there are full English breakfasts, toast (with eggs, beans, etc), hot dogs, pulled pork and chicken burgers, filled baps, wraps, soups, jacket potatoes, chips (with any of ham, egg, sausages and bacon, beans and cheese), cakes and ice creams.
And of course a full range of non-alcoholic beverages, including proper tea in mugs. When it's really packed (usually on Wednesday evenings) they have a more limited menu.
Friendly staff and good service - they give you a number with your order, and call it out when it's ready.
The petrol station is helpfully next door - so you can top up your tank, before you set off on your onward journey.
