Tried Lookout Tavern for the first time, and sadly, it'll be the last. I ordered the fish, and let me tell you--it was a tragedy on a plate. Bland as cardboard, tasted old, and not a trace of seasoning to be found. I've had better luck with frozen fish sticks. Not only was it flavorless, but it left me with a stomachache later that night. So yeah, thanks for that bonus round of regret. As for the margarita--if you're gonna name a drink a margarita, maybe make it taste like one? This thing was a weird, watery mystery with no kick, no zest, and definitely no tequila worth remembering. First impressions matter, and Lookout Tavern didn't just miss the mark--they missed the whole target. I came hungry and left annoyed, unsatisfied, and mildly poisoned. Do better. read more

New to the neighborhood and brought my family for kids trivia expecting a chill sports bar vibe, but the management here is a complete joke. The place feels unprofessional from the second you walk in. Uncomfortable atmosphere, manager seemed more involved in bantering with staff than actually working, being greeted and seated took forever because 'the boss' was too busy chatting up his female employees instead of running things properly. Saw the manager sitting at the bar talking to his employees while managing. Not coming back, and won't recommend to anyone looking for a decent spot to watch the game, or enjoy other week night activities. read more

Pleasantly surprised at how great the brunch was here. A friend and I both ordered mimosa flights which were a nice size. Since we got to choose 4 juices, I went with Kiwi, Strawberry, Blueberry and Mango. They were all very good but my faves were the Strawberry and Mango. For entree, I ordered the Lookout for these Guns. It consisted of protein pancakes, eggs, bacon and sausage. Very good and filling. The service was great as well. We were checked on regularly. This is a great place to come hang out with friends for a Sunday Funday or any occasion. read more

The burgers we got were great and the ambiance was nice, however the service was horrible. I had to ask three separate tomes if I could get the side of ranch I ordered with my meal. After asking the last time it took 20 more minutes before getting it. I would understand this had they been busy but it was 1pm on a Wednesday and there were only 2 other tables. We then waited 45 minutes after finishing our food before finally asking the bartender if they could find our waitress so we could pay and leave. read more

Stopped by visiting, love this place. Great burgers, great beer - good vibe. I had the bison tavern burger I asked for it medium rare and they were happy to see I knew the right way to have a bison burger. Came out great, just the way I like it. Also I asked them to substitue pepper jack cheese and they got that right. The mashed potato bowl was so wrong it was right...potatoes, chicken, gravy - some of my favorites all together. We were all really surprised how much we liked this place. I had a friend tell me about "his local dive bar" so I think we were all expecting a drab Little place that was dimly lit, but the place is full of personality and friendly staff. They have in and outdoor seating, lots of televisions and big screens and weekly events like trivia. I wish we had been here before. Drinks are reasonably priced but strong. I can't think of another bar in our neck of the woods that is as great as this appears to be. So glad we made it for happy hour! read more

Food used to be great until they changed their menu. They took the boneless wings off of their menu which was the best thing they had. Their "new menu" is just them removing a bunch of the good food. New menu sucks. Bring back the old menu. read more

Recently, my wife and I moved to the area and decided to stop by for Sunday lunch. The place had a lively atmosphere with a DJ playing music and plenty of TVs showing the games. We chose to sit outside to enjoy the great weather and a slightly quieter vibe. The tables were clean, and the service was quick and attentive. We started with the sliders, which were cooked perfectly to medium as requested--absolutely delicious! My wife ordered the Chicago Beef Sandwich, and it was excellent. The bread was fresh and soft, and the Giardiniera was just the right amount. The only thing that could have made it better was a side of Au Jus (though I know it's not a French dip!). I had the turkey club, and it was everything you'd hope for in a classic club sandwich--well-made, neatly cut, and speared with a great presentation. The flavors were spot on. I went here with some buddies for football Sunday. Tons of TV's with multiple different games on. The second half of the games start and they throw the Steelers on every single TV. Said they wouldn't change any of the TV's because it's a Steelers bar...ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. Saw multiple people cashing out and leaving because they couldn't spare a tv or two in between the other Steelers game TV's. Selfish. Horrible management. read more

Every time I've ordered food it's been really salty. I don't care for the place when I've had a draft beer it tastes like salt! The only reason I go there is to visit with my brother. The service was friendly and lukewarm on service. Think of an empty water glass at the front center of the table and server walks by 4-5 times, sees it, but ignores it. Since we are not upsell types, basic service was lacking. 2.5 Stars - HH food has gone down in quantity and quality. Used to get America burger for $9. Now it's a tiny 3 oz....yes 3 oz....less than a McDonalds Quarter Pounder...for $11. Good value brings customers back not skimping. read more

We are new to Arizona so we have never been to Lookout Tavern. My brother is a regular here so when we went to see him he wanted to go here. We walked in and my brother knew almost every employee in the place. We sat at the bar and Emily waited on us right away. She informed me that they were only doing brunch til 2. Disappointing but I think I will survive. I ordered a 32 oz beer and decided on the boneless wings. My wife ordered a cheeseburger. The cheeseburger looked delicious and my wife said it tasted really good. My wings were good, a little too much bbq sauce but that's all preference. The atmosphere is really laid back and comfortable. The entire staff was very friendly and outgoing. My wife had a great conversation with the manager, I didn't catch her name. Emily and I had a great conversation as well. She is a HUGE asset to your restaurant. If we were closer we would be here a lot. Thank you Emily and the whole team for a great visit. read more

I love breakfast here. The waitress is was great. The hostess was clueless. I called and asked if they were serving the breakfast sliders still. She said "Yes we are serving brunch" Me: "awesome" Get there and they had a new menu with no breakfast sliders. . I asked for something specific and being the 1st communication a customer has with the establishment...... you should be able to answer simple menu question. Anywho. Waitress was really helpful and sorry they had nothing I wanted including the sangria flight that was on the menu. But the Bloody Mary was on point! Came with a freaking grilled Cheese sandwich. But the new menu was interesting. Seems made for a younger crowd. Not for the demographic that lives in the area. But for the love of god..... bring back the BREAKFAST SLIDERS!!!!! I came here for the first time last night and I was very disappointed. The entire ambiance seemed cool and exciting but when I got there it was not a great time. The bartenders were super slow and never even greeted us hello. The bar wasn't particularly busy so I do not understand what the hold up was. They never came to check on us, we had to flag them down. Took at least 15 minutes just to get our first draft beer. I can say the food was amazing which is why I give it more than one star but the hospitality was just not there. The bartenders seemed to be more concerned with who I can only imagine is an employee who was off, or a mutual friend of theirs, as they spent the entire night drawn to this one guy. The place has the potential to be a cool go to spot but the service was horrible and made it not enjoyable. read more

Finally went to this place that's fairly close to home because a lot of people talk about it. First, the atmosphere is great for what it is: a neighborhood bar. It's really loud inside, so don't expect to hold a conversation. The TVs are perfect for a sporting event, there's not a bad seat in the house for that. Next is service. Here, things slide a little. We were greeted promptly at the door, seated, then ignored for about 10 minutes, during which the table next to us had people seated, greeted, and drinks delivered. After we got our food, we were again ignored, and both of us sat with empty drinks (never got a refill). Finally, food. We had the Reuben and the Philly; both were very bland. Edible, but ultimately "not good". The fries were at least tasty, but our sandwiches just ruined the dinner. Unable to recommend this place. read more
