When they realized there was an eclipse they reposted the booking on other sites and booked it for more money with no warning to us ten months later. Not only did they cancel and rebook to try and make an extra buck. They did it so late that it was almost impossible to find another place to stay. The place we are staying now cost twice as much as this place that we had paid for. This was not done on accident ten months later. This was deliberate. Would not recommend booking from them as they obviously care don't care about anything other than money.

They decided they could make more money and waited until after everything else had been reserved to cancel our reservation claiming "they over booked it". The owners emailed me the day after reserving. This was not an accident. They purposely rented it out to someone at a higher price. I would definitely not recommend renting this cabin as the owners won't think twice about canceling your reservation if they think they can make an extra buck with someone else.

Stayed 2 nights and wished we stayed more! The outside deck faces west and you can watch deer,…read morehorses, ducks on the pond, and forget about your 'real life' for awhile. House was spotless when we arrived, and very private. Hot tub, sun bathing, Bar B Q, breakfast at sunrise, watching the deer in the back pasture. Sat TV, a shower fit for a king, quiet. We could go on for days, and we will, again very soon!

We are not…read moreexperienced kayakers and you should keep that in mind as you read this because that is the perspective from which I write. The person who took my reservation on the phone was fantastic. When we got to their main location, the girls who helped get us ready were outstanding. There was one person in particular, who was so incredibly helpful and put us at ease. When you finish up your registration you can use the restrooms at their store and there's plenty of merchandise that you can buy, both things that are helpful (think sunscreen, dry bags, snacks), and things that are fun, like postcards and stickers. We paid for a tandem kayak and for a valet service, which was very helpful and made it so that we had to drive to the put in place and then only had to pick up our car when we got to the end of our time. I didn't realize that the drive to the place where we would pick up the kayak and start our float (about 18 mins from the store) was over about 2 miles of a VERY bumpy, dusty, rocky road. Somebody might have mentioned it or it was in the literature, but I just missed it and was slightly worried because we just had a 2 wheel drive rental, and it was rough riding to get there so keep that in mind. When we arrived there was a pit toilet which was helpful and the guys helping with the boats were good (You might want to have some cash to give you a tip although I don't think that's expected but our guy was extra helpful.) Also I want to mention that I am plus-sized and had no problems with the kayak at all. We had an incredible time and it took us about three hours altogether including one stop along the way of about 20 minutes where we ate a snack (made sure to clean all of our trash up), swam for a while and went on our way. We went on a Tuesday at 11am and thought it was slightly crowded, it never felt overwhelming, and we were able to slow down or speed up whenever we felt that we were too close to another group. I also thought that people were respectful when they had speakers and it was never loud or obnoxious. Two things I didn't know before that I hope can help someone else. The first is that there were a couple of times when we went over fast moving water (I can't even really call it rapids, but definitely moving quickly) where we got stuck on the rocks and almost turned over. Not a huge deal and almost entirely due to our lack of experience, but just keep that in mind it's not 100% floating peacefully the entire time. Once we had that experience on the first couple times we were completely fine for the rest. The other thing is that just past the place where you pull in and drop off your kayak is a super fun area where you can paddle into a cave, jump from the rocks, and just kind of hang out. If we would've known that it was there we would've stayed around a bit longer. Again, nobody's fault Just something we didn't know beforehand. I highly recommend Buffalo River outfitters - we had a blast!

Very good customer service We rented a cabin for 3 nights…read more When we entered the cabin, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the pics online did not do the cabin justice. It was cute and cozy. This place is good if you want just the very basic of amenities. Shelter and running water, optional kitchenette. I couldn't give this place higher rating simply because we felt the cleaning could be a bit more thorough. Surely the most trafficked areas are cleaned but there could be better inspections with their cleaning. There were splatters of brown stains on the wall next to the bed. Made the whole place feel untidy.

I am beyond thankful to have found this place at the last minute. Our other accommodations did not…read morework out and Kelly was nice enough to get a cabin ready for me, my brother and his dogs and let us stay. I was so happy that she had a cabin available (cabin #2)! And what a cabin! These are log cabins with long decks that overlook the Arkansas hills. Everything was clean and just really, really nice. I was looking for a place with a full kitchen, and this had it (well, minus the oven, but that was OK, it had a toaster oven!), including full-sized refrigerator, microwave, stove. The kitchen had everything you might need: pots, pans, all manner of utensils, all the dishes and silverware, storage containers potholders, etc. There was a dining table, and couches and a coffee table in front of the fireplace. There were games on the shelf that you could play, there were lots of power outlets, big fluffy towels in the bathroom, and parking for 2+ cars. The downstairs bedroom had a queen bed (I think) and upstairs in the loft was a twin and a double. Lots of room to spread around here! The deck had a birdfeeder and a hummingbird feeder (and, yes, the hummingbirds do show up), with rocker-swing two-seater, barbecue, bench, and two chairs, just plenty of room to hang out. Our deck overlooked a beautiful field in front of the view of all the pretty Arkansas hills. Oh, and the sunset was almost directly in front of us! I felt like I was living in the hunting lodge of a Lord of the Manor and thoroughly enjoyed being there. It is about a quarter-mile up a side road from Highway 7, just south of Jasper, and it was very quiet there except for the sounds of birds! Kelly was extremely accommodating and gracious, and again, I was thoroughly thrilled to find this place on short notice because it was really spectacular and beyond my expectations!

With just four cabins, and located outside of town, it might be easy to overlook Ozark Mountain…read moreCabins, but then you'd miss out one of the gems of the Jasper Area. Sitting on the side of the mountain, each cabin features spectacular views of the valley. With three full size beds, our cabin was just the right size for a group looking to explore the nearby river or hike in the mountains. The kitchen is fully outfitted and they even provide a grill! The only drawback is that there is no internet or TV. Of course, this might be seen as a benefit to some as it adds to the charm or being in a cabin in an area known for its outdoor activities.
