Meet the Baby Ultrasound is a good place to have a 3D/4D live view of your baby. When our initial…read moreappointment was canceled the day of, we searched for another location to get the service done. Meet the Baby had openings in the middle of the day Friday. We arrived at a small, empty office in a corporate park off Dale Mabry. A yard sign outside one of the complexes assured us the ultrasound place was here. We checked in with a woman in the office and she had us sign a paper and pay. After that, we waited in the lobby for a minute or two. Another lady welcomed us and brought us back to the ultrasound room. This was a large room with a huge wrap-around couch. There was a projector with a large screen on one wall. The bed and ultrasound machine setup was pretty much the same as any doctor's office. Our short 15-20 minutes session was perfect to get some good pictures of our baby in 3D/4D live. We saw her yawn and got some really great photos for our baby shower. The two staff members were friendly and the place was relatively clean. It just seemed older and it's definitely not a doctor's office. On the way out we did get a nice little cooler bag to hold bottles and it even had two samples of formula in it. If you want great pictures of your little one, check this place out. That being said, it also depends if your baby wants to cooperate. We're lucky our baby did for the majority of the session.

The receptionist took 35 minutes to get to me, while I clearly stood in front of the desk (results - I was taken back for screening 20 minutes past my scheduled time even though I showed 25 minutes early to do paperwork as requested by them and I handed the complete paperwork to her as I arrived early.) 5 other patients were helped around me, even though they were clearly after me. Courtesy is not a strong point while politeness wasn't bad. Patient privacy is NOT followed. Not a single door was closed during my visit for private discussion. Staff professionalism was seriously lacking as they openly talked about other staff and patients in front of me. I can tell you about the conditions and history of at least 3 other patients as there was no attempt to be sensitive to their medical privacy. Dr. Ackerman wasn't responsive or interested in my full, and albeit complicated, medical history before he dismissed my comments and moved on to his next patient. Needless to say he has not garnered my trust! I'll find someone else that cares enough to have a professional attitude and staff!

They have a…read moresonogram package that allows up to 8 family and friends to sit in a theater style room with the mommy to be for a 3D and 4D sonogram. The room is good sized with 6 leather recliners and 2 small child sized stools. There is a wall sized movie screen to view exactly what the sonogram displays. The technician switches between 3D and 4D view in color and B&W. Boy have times changed! The location of this place is easy to find though the neighborhood is a little run down. Inside everything is very nice. Cute decor and extremely nice employees. Appointments are made, the mommy to be checks in and everyone is ushered into a darkened room for the big event. On the day I was there with both sets of future Grandparents and future Aunts, the technician was extremely patient because the baby was not cooperating. The mommy to be REALLY wanted to confirm the gender and as hard as it was to get a very young fetus to move into position, the umbilical cord just wouldn't move out of the way. Either way, we were all able to see the face, hands, legs, and spine. Hearing the heartbeat was cool and they walked out with a bunch of thermal image pictures and piece of mind that the baby was getting bigger.

My family member was 18 weeks along and had just done a gender reveal party the weekend before, so she knew she was having a baby boy. We arrived on time for our 1pm appointment and another couple was just finishing. The establishment is pristine and beautiful! I was shocked at how absolutely comfortable, clean, accommodating, and lovely the entire inside is. The lobby area caters to mothers-to-be and their family. You can tell the owner really cares about her clients and their well being. She has thought of everything. She greeted us and welcomed us to her boutique. She helped the mom find the restroom since she drank a lot of water to make the ultrasound better. There was a nice bowl of candy, to include ginger candies for any moms experiencing nausea. The beautifully decorated front area has an assortment of baby items for sale and they are all thoughtfully displayed and chosen with mother and baby in mind. There are snacks and waters available as well and she advertises other local businesses that help new mommies along their journey (lactation consultants, etc). I love that she supports other small businesses. I need to mention that it smelled AMAZING in there too! I asked her what it was so I could get some for my home I loved it so much! Even the father of the baby commented on how good it smelled! We were brought into a very nice and large viewing room for the ultrasound. A nice comfortable table is set up for mom by the machine. There is a seat next to the bed for someone special and they can view the large flat screen monitor on the wall or the machines screen. Across from the bed is a large comfortable sectional couch that can fit many people (I would say at least 6!) plus she has some cute plushie seats if there are others there. There were only the 4 of us so we stood most of the time and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the ultrasound. I could tell that the owner, Stormy, knew what she was doing. She made sure mom was comfortable, that her clothes were protected and she gave her a warm towel. She put the warm gel on her belly and ensured she was okay before beginning. We watched as she began the scan on one of the large TV screens on the wall. It was amazing what you could see. She narrated what she was looking at so we knew what was going on. We were very talkative and she picked up on what we were saying and would show us things as we asked about them. We heard the heartbeat and even recorded it on a small device to put into a stuffed animal! She got tons of awesome photos, 2-D, 3-D and 4-D. She even asked us if there was anything else we wanted photos of before we finished. At one point, the baby had flipped over and she wanted him back on the other side. She guided mom on how to possibly get him to flip using prenatal yoga and it worked! We had such an amazing experience and I would highly recommend this business for any services they offer. You can tell the owner truly cares about her customers. We will be coming back when anyone else in the family is pregnant!
