Just had a cut! Through a weird yelp glitch I accidentally set up an appointment at another salon. When I arrived there was some confusion, but Lynn and Paul were gracious enough to fit me in. My Mom got me a gift certificate to this salon for my birthday. She gets her hair cut here, but I do full highlights and needed to find someone new because the woman that's done my hair for years moved away. My appointment was with Paul and I must say, he was fantastic! I felt welcome from the moment I walked in and Paul was so patient and kind. He had to pretty much fix the work of 2 previous hair artists. When mine moved away, I gave that salon in Costa Mesa a chance with a different young woman who not only didn't put a toner on my hair, she also didn't cut it right! I get my hair done about every 3 months and was so nervous taking a chance at a whole new place, but it's my new go-to for cut and color! Paul really takes his time explaining what he can do and what works for a person's specific hair type. He was also great for conversation and they don't price-gauge people like so many other places do. I'm so happy to have a new, and even better, hair artist and I look forward to my next visit! Recently I decided to do the big chop at another pricier salon by my work and I wasn't really happy with the cut so I decided to let it grow out a little and then try my luck at another salon(the look). I called around 1030am and was able to book an appointment same day with Paul. Paul was fantastic! He looked at the pictures I had for inspiration, listened to what I thought I wanted and helped me figure out what would look best on me. You can tell this man is definitely a hair artist and enjoys his job. Turns out the other place I went messed up my hair just a bit but paul was able to salvage it and give me as close to what I wanted as possible, I still have to let my hair grow a bit before it will be exactly how I imagined. I've loved every experience I've had getting my hair done here. My mom's been going to Lynn for 7-8 years now and my grandma and I have been going to her for about two years now. The first time I saw Lynn I didn't have a style in mind as I mostly wear my hair up because it's so thin. I've gone to many salons with very little success in getting a cut that gives me volume. Lynn touched my hair and immediately knew the cut I needed, I walked out with texture, bounce and VOLUME. She truly is a hair genius. I went to see Paul yesterday and had such a fantastic experience. I came in with a dark auburn dye that had grown out a few inches and was ready for a change. He was so accommodating, welcoming, and funny! My experience was great. Immediately, he asked me if I had any photos that I wanted him to use as inspiration. This helped so much as he could get a feel for what I was looking for. I wanted a dark brown up to light caramel balayage. And after a couple of hours, I got exactly what I was looking for!
