Where do I start, this has to be the worst holiday I have had, I left writing a review until I had dealt with customer service but they are basically saying I'm lying, day 1 we got there, staff very unwelcoming, we got the keys to the van and due to being disabled was told I can park outside the caravan, the parking is dreadful, I am a good driver and still struggled to get into any parking space without causing damage, to then have security demand I move my car because I'm not disabled!?!? Excuse me? Do these staff have special glasses to show who's disabled or not?. We got in the van, AWFUL, stained bedsheets, the toilet STUNK of raw sewage, the shower leaked like crazy and the worktops all chipped and this is supposed to be a new caravan! I complained, got a clean bedsheet, waited 2 days for the shower leak to be fixed, no one turned up so I did it myself ( customer service tell me I'm lying because it's on the system it was fixed), the food and entertainment.... The food was mediocre, the chef thinking he's Gordon Ramsey the way he was shouting and swearing at staff, bare in mind there was around 5 people in the restaurant and it still took over an hour for the food to get to us. There is an arcade next door with a takeaway inside it, we walked in and I was virtually choking on smoke from the kitchen in there, literally filling the arcade (once again customer service tell me I'm lying) very unhelpful staff. The entertainment was very strange, old man on stage singing pretending to bend someone over and spank them all while a gang of little kids dance with him..... but staff say this is ok as it's monitored?? the water on sight tasted vile, no idea why it was so bad but I couldn't even brush my teeth with it! (Again customer service say I'm lying) I recommend anyone looking to stay at looe bay Holliday park to look at all the reviews, do some research, even the locals look at you as if your mad for staying there. Looe Bay Holiday Park is situated just on the outskirts of Looe, just before Town. You can't miss it! A lot of time has gone in to making the site looking appealing to the eye, and the park grounds are awash with many a bright and beautiful flower! It certainly stands out! This has to be the best Holiday Park in the Looe and surrounding area. It is by far the cleanest too, with a wide range of different sized caravans and chalets to choose from. It is always thriving with visitors and boasts its own indoor swimming pool with slide, a large entertainment hall and bars. A good sized amusements arcade, a convenience store on site, plus much more! If you fancy popping into town for a spot of shopping, sightseeing or to laze on the gorgeous beaches, then I suggest using the local bus service which runs to and from Town every hour. It picks you up from the doorstep of the Holiday Park and drops you off into town in just 5 minutes. Looe's car parking facilities are extremely stretched especially in term time and summer months due to the popularity of our little touristy town - Avoid the fuss Get the bus!!!! You can walk into town from the Holiday Park, but I would not advise it myself. There is not a specific route, and holiday makers tend to walk into town using the main road (which may I add, is long, bendy, and only just wide enough or traffic to flow both ways)! I've witnessed cyclists, pedestrians and even just yesterday a mother pushing a pram down the road! It is enough to give you a heart attack when cars are coming both ways! (besides it really gets on the locals' goat! lol) I also do not recommend visiting the tiny sleepy town of Millendreath which is just down the hill from the holiday park - Millendreath is a real dive! It's been left to get run down with just a few houses and no shops or businesses it really is dull!!!! It is a 15 minute dive from Liskeard Town and 30 minutes drive into Plymouth City Center. (a must for shopaholics)! I always recommend Looe Bay Holiday Park to friends and family, and I only ever hear what an enjoyable experience they have each had. Kids love it. Been there atleast 10 times and the kids still want to keep going back. Only bad point no local shop so camp shop prices are quite high. read more
