Not…read moreonly were my three children and I not greeted with a smile or hello etc, we were told it was too late in the day to obtain a library card and that they closed at 4. Even with the earlier closing time, I'm certain we had time to get a card and the books my kiddos needed for a report. I even had a list of the books needed. We will be traveling further to get our library cards to a library that embraces and encourages literacy, as this one seems to be a lost cause My advice for the library management is to seek employees or find volunteers that will welcome patrons, not turn them away because they want to leave early.

The librarian will give you a tour and share with you the history of this beautiful building. Not the usual type or style of building you would find in a small east Texas town. Built in 1934 during the Big oil Boom. In addition to being a Beautiful library, we spent a little time in the children's section. Great selection of titles and genres for all levels of readers. On the bulletin board we quickly checked out some of the summer activities. We live out of town. But if we were local this would be a place we would frequently come too.

Is it some massive monstrosity that requires its' very own area code, or actually houses several different area codes within, much like the behemoth convention centers in bells and whistles cities like New Orleans, and Las Vegas? Quite simply, no. However, does this convention center provide adequate and comfortable space for state-to-regional-type exhibitions? Absolutely! Yes, it does! Most importantly, I mean really, is can an individual don an authentic and full Wookie suit in the onset of a hellacious East Texas June, and not, I repeat, not actually, physically combust or burst into flames while standing in place, and the answer, is an over-emphatic yes!!! And true, as it were, that the temps outside today were a brutal, and quite unforgiving, if not hellish and humid, mid-90's-something, degrees Fahrenheit, the inside of this lovely facility was ice-boxingly refreshing and cool. 2018 Longview Comic Con guests, vendors, and visitors alike, were able to conduct their business, get their cosplay on, and just enjoy all the entire live-long day! I myself, did several comfortable laps around the convention interior, and I also sat comfortably through several interesting, informative, and entertaining panels. The convention center workers here were pleasant, professional, and more-than accommodating. They kept things moving, and quickly so. This building, and its' fantastic employees could more than handle just about any event that may come its' way in the future. I hope that they have the opportunity to do so. Also, the school has one-of-a-kind certifications and so much more! Great programs and great organizations! There's theatre, the Rangerettes, the Flare news, the Ranger band, football, basketball, softball, the music program, the KC Twirlers... There is an organization for everyone!
