So what makes this a five-star convention…read morecenter? Is it some massive monstrosity that requires its' very own area code, or actually houses several different area codes within, much like the behemoth convention centers in bells and whistles cities like New Orleans, and Las Vegas? Quite simply, no. However, does this convention center provide adequate and comfortable space for state-to-regional-type exhibitions? Absolutely! Yes, it does! Most importantly, I mean really, is can an individual don an authentic and full Wookie suit in the onset of a hellacious East Texas June, and not, I repeat, not actually, physically combust or burst into flames while standing in place, and the answer, is an over-emphatic yes!!! And true, as it were, that the temps outside today were a brutal, and quite unforgiving, if not hellish and humid, mid-90's-something, degrees Fahrenheit, the inside of this lovely facility was ice-boxingly refreshing and cool. 2018 Longview Comic Con guests, vendors, and visitors alike, were able to conduct their business, get their cosplay on, and just enjoy all the entire live-long day! I myself, did several comfortable laps around the convention interior, and I also sat comfortably through several interesting, informative, and entertaining panels. The convention center workers here were pleasant, professional, and more-than accommodating. They kept things moving, and quickly so. This building, and its' fantastic employees could more than handle just about any event that may come its' way in the future. I hope that they have the opportunity to do so. I also hope there will be another Longview Comic Con at this very location in the Summer of 2019! I will return if so! Excellent work, Maude Cobb Convention Center!
