We were trying to do something fun for my moms birthday. We were doing a 3 minute grab as many books as you can challenge, we were very disappointed that a staff member told us to stop recording. Even some of the other customers in the building thought it was cool what we were doing. We even went back and looked, and there are not any signs stating that we were not allowed to record. read more

This store has gone down since Y2K. I go in there for the magazines . But the people that work there look lonely as fuck . They keep coming up behind me while I'm reading the magazines asking if I'm ready to check out when the register is way the fuck over yonder . People who work here were extremely rude. The book selection was terrible and disorganized. The store smelled like sour milk when entering. The sign on the door says please wear a mask aka asking instead of saying a mask is required. They need to let people know it's not up to the person entering the store to wear or not wear a mask. They need to change the sign to say a mask is required so the person entering is being forced to wear a mask. The store associates have always been rude but this past time was ridiculous the really creepy associate (I assume associate I couldn't tell) followed me around and kept harassing me even when I was on my way out of the store. This was the first time in 4 years I have been back in this store and after the crazy associate and the mess I walked into there's no point in coming back because obviously it won't change. In my opinion you would be better off ordering online from amazon or even just try to google the book your looking for to buy it that way instead of coming here because you will for sure find the book you need. plus you don't have to deal with rude associates that harass you and follow you around and get way to close to you while your trying unsuccessfully to find a book. read more

Soooo mad! My family goes here at least once a week. We had purchased 3 frappuccinos and sat to visit with friends. There was a shift change during the time we were there and the girl working is unfamiliar with our family. That's ok except, she must have thought we were just squatters who had no intention of buying things... When my mother asked for a glass of ice water, the girl she decided to help another customer and the "forget". When my mom asked for some an actual cup of ice, the girl gave her literally 4 little pieces of ice! For 2 people!!! I was ready to freak out. read more

Be careful at this location with the clerks enrolling you into monthly magazine subscriptions. In addition to purchasing a book I bought back in December; after swiping my card once and given my receipt, this one particular gentleman (Books a million clerk) at the cash register also told me to "Choose 3 free magazines" that will be sent to my house as if it was a free promotion for buying the book. I chose 3 magazines and gave him my address only to find out that he automatically enrolled me into 3 magazine subscriptions and was charged $18.00 three months later. He did not give any additional information about being charged, the company, or that he was actually enrolling me into a subscription. Luckily, I always check my bank statements monthly and was able to catch the charge by TME magazine. I googled them, called their customer service and had them cancel all 3 magazines being that I was mislead thinking they were "free" by this Books a million clerk in Longview, TX who has most likely has done this to numerous customers for commission. Be careful if they mention magazines "for free" at the checkout because they will sneak and enroll you into a subscription and you will eventually be charged $18.00. read more

I love books and this is the best bookstore in Longview. If you invest in a membership ($10 for a year), you can reap some really great deals, especially when added to an already existing sale price. Spend a few hours here while drinking a coffee or specialty drink from Joe Muggs, which is conveniently located within the store, and read a book or enjoy the free WiFi service provided. read more

Joe Muggs is a great place to get coffee. My wife and I like it so much more than that other famous coffee place. The only downside is no drive thru, but since it's connected to an awesome bookstore, then the lack of a drive thru is forgivable. read more

I went to books a million to hang out with my theater group, and we sat down and got some food from joe muggs I asked to get two waters and was charged for water bottles and not two free cups (for me and a friend) and when I went to get a refund the server was very rude about it showing that she obviously didn't care and did not want to help me, and the whole experience really irked me. read more
