Sure, there were other boutiques open...but those that were in operation could be very pricey at times. This was before the days of Forever 21, of course. I immediately loved this place. For numerous reasons. The selection and stock offered by Trendy Chicks was great. Funky, glam and hip...styles to fit every type of personaity. The clothing is of good quality, and unique. They have everything from dresses, skirts, jeans to accessories like jewelry, purses, sunglasses, etc. You don't have to worry about seeing your dress or top on everyone else when you go out, etc. I also really value the service/care you recieve when shopping at the boutique. The owner is often there, and she is very personable and friendly. I always find something I can't live without when I stop by. Customer service is non-existent. I'm not talking bad or lacking, I'm talking completely non-existent. I've been there four times. The next time I'm met by someone or even see someone willing to help me, it will be the first time. The only customer service interaction is one person at the checkout counter handling more customers than he/she can handle. But they always ask if I'm willing to donate to their charity of choice. Most wouldn't do it, a few could if I bought 10 or more shirts. I found T-Hee and asked if they could make my one shirt and the owner said, Sure we can do it. He helped me get the color of the shirt and the image just the way I wanted it, did a mock up for me to see before printing and told me the price right up front. It didn't cost me any more than buying a good T-shirt anywhere else!
