I purchased a used bike from Longshore, even though I live some 150 miles away. Also, because I'm Sabbath Observant and work full time, it is extremely difficult for me to get to any motorcycle shop (as they are almost universally closed Sundays (and Mondays). Race day, you know) Before the purchase, the sales staff (especially Lane) worked with me getting specific pictures and videos to reassure me that this was the bike I wanted. Then, when I was ready to pull the trigger, my bank won't do used motorcycles on anything other than a personal loan, so the shop stepped in and arranged rather nice financing for me, with seemingly no effort on my part. Pick up day finally came, and everyone was lovely to work with, and quite respectful of the fact that I was taking a day off from work, and wanted to get moving. Love the bike, love the purchase. I took my Honda Silverwing 600 trike to this place to have the tires,drive belt and final drive oil changed in April. Bike drove much better initially but apparently they didn't go through the trike kit as well as they said they did because fast forward to July and my shock suspension bolts have fell completely out on one side and the other bolt was 1/2 way out Bolts Should have been loctited in but apparently were not. Also, bolts that were in the shock suspension area weren't long enough. I fixed the issue myself as after this incident I have zero confidence in Longshore's ability to do the job correctly. For the $800.00 plus I spent I would expect far more attention to detail especially after they were furnished the original factory manual for the trike kit with complete instructions and trike item specifiations. Longshore is very lucky that this is simply a negative review and not a wrongful death lawsuit. I have a tendency to check the kit for loose bolts which is when I discovered one bolt gone with the shock arm almost on the ground and the other bolt 1/2 way out. read more

I walked into this place with the full intention of buying a motorcycle with cash in hand. I wasn't even greeted as I entered. Mind you I had already called twice and sent several inquiries via their website about price and had heard nothing back. Now I know why, Their sales staff look like a bunch of "winners" I found the bike I wanted and looked it over and was ready to buy. I looked a salesman right in the eyes and he turned away like he could care less, so I left and will not be back. I have never felt so dismissed in my life. I am a 62 year old female who has had boats in the past and now am interested in a personal watercraft. I test drove 2 Seadoos (sp) last fall. When I called I was led to believe I could buy one for less than $10,000 and that was the only reason I thought about buying at the end of the season I didn't buy for 2 reasons. 1. I have an accident and due to some nerve damage, my arm was going numb. 2. The cost never went below $10,000. This spring I decided to try the Yamaha (after my son encouraged me to go with a Yamaha instead). Today when I looked at them, I was interested, but when I asked to test drive 2 more, I was basically reminded that I didn't buy one last fall so they really didn't want to deal with me unless I would say I was definitely buying. I understand I'm not an easy customer and not always right, but taking the time to answer questions to help the customer better understand a problem is called customer service. I wish I could leave negative stars! Took my Mule in because it was over heating. They were the only Kawasaki dealer within 100 miles. Many people in town told me not to but I wanted to take it to people that I thought would be familiar with it. It sat for over a month and half before, after many complaints and trips down there, they actually looked at it. BTW, it was stored outside in the rain and the elements (at home it is in the barn). I was told it was the water pump and it would be about $200-$250 to repair. I then asked about a service and the manager told me that would be another $135. I told him to do it bit keep the bill under $500. He agreed. Another three weeks later, he called and said it was done. I went to pick it up and it ran like crap. BTW, the bill was $800 now. When I asked, the manager said it took more labor than he thought. It was also leaking from a radiator hose and made a grinding noise when I put it in gear because the idle was way too high. When I asked the manager and mechanic, the mechanic the mechanic got angry and said "that happen sometimes." When I asked how they were going to fix it, he looked at the manager and said, "you tell me what the F you want" and walked off. I was instantly furious because my wife was standing next to us. The manager apologized and said he would take care of it. The manager then told me the reason it ran bad and made the noise is because the carbs needed rebuild. I asked how much and he told me $200 more. I reluctantly agreed and told him that the bill cannot go over $1,000. He agreed. After another week, they called and told me that the reason that my Mule was overheating was because the head gasket was blown. I was pissed! I told them that I would not have done anything else if I had known that the head gasket was blown. They said that it would be another $500. When I complained, the manger told me that if I did not like their price, to just come get my Mule and pay the $1000. Obviously they had me. Nobody wants to put $1000 into a vehicle that is still broken. I needed the Mule for my ranch. I would think that a certified mechanic would have diagnosed a head gasket first; not a water pump, service, carb rebuild, then "by the way, your screwed!" Two weeks later it was done. I came to pick it up and it still stuttered when accelerating. The service manager told that it was a 2006 and that's just the way they age. By this time, I just wanted my Mule out of there. I cannot believe that a vehicle that Kawasaki sells for over $14k would only be "good" for a few years before the dealer thinks its OK for it to have these problems and tell me that it was normal and "it happens". Of course, after about an hour of running, it overheated again. There is no way I want my Mule going back there for three more months and another who knows how much more $$$$. I got suckered by a great bait and switch. DO NOT TAKE YOUR STUFF HERE! Stored outside. service is horrible and they pumped the bill up. When you take your vehicle to the dealer, you expect it to cost a little more but you expect them to diagnose the major problem and fix it, not throw expensive parts and labor at it and hope it is fixed. They sell and work on these specifically! Extremely unhappy! take my warning! read more

We visted Longshore and traded for a Honda pioneer 1000-5..kept it for about 8 months..took it in for some warranty work..wasn't really happy with it..and between Brian and Jacob wound up trading for a 2017 Kawasaki mule pro fxt 6 seater..had no interest in a mule when going in..Jacob offered a test ride..I did..and took it home! GREAT people to deal with..make you feel appreciated and do EVERYTHING they say they will do right down to the service dept ! I HIGHLY recommend Longshore for any product they sell or service. Completely unprofessional! Traveled half a day to this business for a absolute waste of time. The images that are posed on the website are a total deception. Most of the used inventory are left outside in the elements to rust and deteriorate. When I arrived, the sales rep that I had been speaking with over the phone all week was visually irritated to assist us. Upon finally locating the motorcycle it was in far worse shape than advertised. After irritating the sales rep more by asking to make sure it was operational it would not crank. He was quick to mention that many lower offers for this motorcycle had been rejected this week. Even though it had noticeably not been cranked in several weeks. Three employees and thirty minutes later they push it to the shop area, and work some form of sleazy sales magic on it enough to get it to crank. Hearing it run sealed the decision to walk away, and never return to this store. Save yourself the trouble, and gas money before taking a trip to this dealership. Any place that leaves its inventory outside to rot, and expect you to pay full price for it, and lie to your face should tell you everything you need to know about how they view their customers. read more
