Amazing 16 acre sculpture garden. I had this bookmarked on my Yelp for years. I was going out to the South fork to Wolfer Estate ,and needed something to do before prior to our reservation. This place is truly magical. I felt like I was no longer on Long Island. It is beautifully done. Under a rock I've been. Not till this Thanksgiving did I learn of LongHouse Reserve. Sixteen acres of nature filled with capturing sculptures and art installations. Heavenly was this late afternoon. Cherishing the peaceful stroll, the sun rays streaking through the fall color leaves, the trickling of water from sculptures, the blissful areas for reading, being amongst art and nature. Best $10-$15 spent for a gorgeous garden, sculpture park, and museum whether you're a senior or adult. It's even kid-friendly! The staff is friendly to help take photos and guide you. Parking can be tight, so it's a good thing they only take timed reservations to reduce crowds. I'll be back for sure! read more

Longhouse reserve obviously inspired by east asian designs. It is neither grand or pompous, but rather inviting you to a calm searching and discovering experience. We love how Longhouse respect their sculptures, giving each of them a mini stage, put in spot where you'll see them whether by walking through row of trees or strolling a narrow meandering path. We especially like the 12 chinese zodiac statues, someone need to make a night horror film set in that location. Go here and spoil your senses, you won't regret it. read more

What a wonderful place to spend time when in the Hamptons. The grounds are beautiful. and I had never seen such a display of artwork from international artists. The docent was knowledgeable and enthusiastically answered our questions about the collection of sculptures in the gardens. Most important for me is that they were able to accommodate people with mobility issues to ensure that everyone would have the opportunity to enjoy this magnificent place. read more

Overall: 5/5 LongHouse Illuminated Event: 1/5 (Photos below are only from the illumination event) Absolutely love the LongHouse! As a local I have visited this 16 acre garden almost every year. I have great memories of school field trips, participating in the student art competitions, taking my high school senior banquet photos here and more. There are countless contemporary sculptures including permanent items and items on loan. Almost every time you come back there is something new and wonderful to look at! (The Red Garden is my favorite). It's also fun to look for frogs and turtles in the pond! You'll have a great time just strolling through the garden (especially during the summer) or when attending an after hours event. Just plan accordingly, come soon to get parking otherwise you'll have to park on the street. Overall I usually have a fantastic experience. If you're visiting The Hamptons, definitely check out The LongHouse Reserve! Despite my love for the LongHouse, I do have the rate the LongHouse Illuminated experience a 1/5. I would not recommend this event. It's a pretty hefty price for not much to look at ($35 for Non-Members, $20.00 for members, $15.00 for students and FREE for Children under 12 years old). When you first walk in the Docents will check you in since you have to register online. They were incredibly kind and helpful. After that the shop and restrooms are to your left. (I bought a cute beanie!) From there I started walking on the path and wrote my wish on the Wish Tree. The paths were poorly lit and only a few sculptures were illuminated. There was a small hut with a tacky snowflake projection on it. I mildly regret paying $35 per person to attend an illumination event when only thing really illuminated was the path. However, the Fly's Eye Dome and the House were incredible! We weren't able to stray off the path so it was a quick 20 minute walk through the entire thing. I was considering walking through it again but I told myself there's nothing to look at, it'll be better to walk through town and look at the lights. They had snacks and complementary hot chocolate, wine, or cold cider at the pavilion (and the cups were only filled, literally, 1/3 of the way up). Can I get my time (and money) back lol read more

Happy place. The art inspires and puts a smile on your face. If I lived nearby, I would want to work here, surrounded by beauty. They have limited hours which makes it difficult to visit often. Love the little gift shop as well. read more

Absolutely beautiful!!!! Everything was well-maintained and adventure for the kids to find things. This was exceptionally helpful for the 13 and 15-year-old who don't really care for this kind of thing. All the adults got to enjoy themselves without having kids nagging I'm bored. read more

I am no great fan of nature. Getting me to a botanical garden, is something that generally involves a lot of kicking and screaming. You put sculptures in a botanical garden, and to me, it's still a botanical garden with some stuff in it. But the Long House somehow is different. I loved it. Mainly, it's not a botanical garden with stuff in it. It was designed from its inception to be both sculptures and garden. And it is magnificent. The plants may be nice. I have no idea. I remember hearing that they have a lot of different kinds of grasses. Whatever. But to see sculptures in this setting, is truly a treat. If you go, do yourself a favor, and don't leave without ringing the bells. read more

Going to the LongHouse Reserve was an amazing experience that I'm so grateful that I had the opportunity to go here. LongHouse Reserve is a 16 acre reserve and sculpture garden located in East Hampton, NY and there is so much to see in this place. You will see gardens that are extremely well maintained, sculptures throughout the reserve, and a large variety of plants/flowers. You can scan a bar code and listen in different areas of the reserve to learn more about the sculptures, plant life, art, etc. This place has something around every corner that is amazing and anyone can spend hours in this place and not be able to take in all of its beauty. I would definitely recommend going to this place. There is a small gift shop where you can purchase items if you would like. The last time I was here, you need to wear a mask in order to shop inside. Things are changing so I don't know if that is the case. The gounds of this place are amazing and I would definitely take your time in walking through this place to take in and appreciate all the beauty in this place. read more

The place is beautiful, and very unique, but way out of price in terms of entrance fees, versus lots of other beautiful sculpture gardens around the country. Not very affordable for the average person. Appears to mainly cater to the member elite. The Planting Fields Arbore near Oyster Bay are more amazing and free to the public. read more

A friend and I recently visited here. It was a perfect day to drive out east and wander through the Hamptons. I love the natural settings and walking the gardens. I was surprised by the number of people there for a weekday, but everyone was quiet and respectful. I liked the idea of the on-cell tour guide where you call in and get an audio tour. So basically when *everyone's working* OR a tiny 3 hour window that .0005% of the interested population might ever be able to visit. This is literally one of the most beautiful places I have ever been in my life. The sculpture garden is very impressive. The air smells sweet here because of all of the flowers. My boyfriend and I bumped into Matko Tomicic (Executive Director) and the three of us were talking about art and he invited us into the office and gifted us a lovely book. This place is an absolute gem. Incredible nature, landscaping, art, and furniture spread out over a sprawling estate. We brought our nieces there (7 & 8) and they went nuts! Best part is that kids are free. If you in the area, or even if you have to drive an hour, you have to check it out. After a morning at the beach, this garden is a wonderful, peaceful respite from all the activity and traffic. Gorgeous landscaping and hidden sculptural surprises in every nook, fun paths to walk down and cleverly placed benches on which to sit and enjoy it all. The friendly staff member at the gate offered us scavenger hunt maps for the kids as well as an informative introduction to the garden. We all very much enjoyed the trip. read more
