We were invited to dinner here by a friend who loves this place. It's a fairly small restaurant with some outdoor seating during warmer months. It's divided into two rooms with a small hallway in the middle. The furniture here is nice and quite comfortable. The decor is simple but elegant. Good ambience with friendly service. It did get quite warm inside after it filled up but overall a lovely atmosphere. The menu here is quite extensive however, the choice of vegetarian is limited, all up about three or four dishes, I think. Many classic Thai dishes were on offer and as we were a group of six it was possible to try quite a few dishes off the menu ;-) we ordered the prawn wrapped in beetle leaf, veg spring rolls, banana flower salad, bean salad and prawn and seafood cake for starters. They were all ok but nothing blew me away on the starters. The banana flower salad had a good kick to it but the sauce was missing a bit of the sweet element common to this salad. My main course of fish with a salad of raw mango, lemongrass and good and it was spicy, as I asked for it spicy ;-) just note that spicy here is just that, spicy I really enjoyed this dish. I also tried four of the other main dishes and they were also quite ok. I had the date cake with ice cream for dessert and it was quite ok. The wine list is very small but well priced and decent. I have not had a lot of Thai food in Munich but, the ones I have had is generally below par. In comparison this place is a cut above. The ingredients are fresh and prices are also quite reasonable. The hosts are very friendly and service is quite ok. They did miss a few things as the place was full but on average, good service. Might want to reconsider the two plate main (rice comes on a separate plate) serving style, as it takes up too much room on the table. I would happily come here again. Good Thai places are hard to find in this town and this one delivers good quality and tasty Thai cuisine. With some modifications to the flavours this place would be perfect for me :-) It's good Thai served in a cosy ambience. read more

I don't give 5 stars often. If I knew how to recommend a place for a Michelin , I would!!! The owner greeted us warmly even though we didn't have reservations. The restaurant and its few outdoor tables were already full in this sleepy northern suburb of München. We were seated right away, the back tables having a nice view of the green and peaceful back yard. She then proceeded to introduce us to Thai using a plate of fresh herbs and ingredients. Her enthusiasm, cheerfulness and knowledge was the same for each group that came in. At her recommendation, we tried the kha appetizer. I literally had to pause and sigh after the first bite of kha. The combination of flavor, spice and temperature was exquisite. The rest of the meal was equally amazing. I would fly back to Munich just to eat dinner here. read more

Fantastic Thai food in Munich!!! Being an Asian guy from LA/OC, there's lots of Thai food and this place actually has VERY GOOD food! A nice, little cozy place provides you with a break of a biergarten... (not that I dislike biergartens!) The soup, the wonton, the fish, noodles, and the curry are all great! If you're craving Asian food after all the sausages, meats, bread and potatoes, I definitely recommend this place! Just FYI, Germans do not like spicy but the friendly staff can make it authentic Thai spicy!! Also, reservations are recommended as it can get busy. read more

I love asian food and this restaurant was a lovely discovery. Amazing food, I will post some food next time I stop there. Food quality is good, taste is amazing and the food is also very nicely presented (not the average Thai). The owner as well as the waiters are very nice...I look forward to go back !! Top 3 PhadThai!!!! Of all the Phad Thai I've eaten worldwide (US, Canada, UK, & Europe) this was in the top 3 for me. This is a small family run restaurant that's in the top 10 Munich restaurants on TripAdvisor. And it absolutely deserves that rating! The food is incredibly fresh and delicious. The service is friendly and comes in 4 languages. And the price is really not expensive! We had their special pre-appetizer salad served in a Thai Basil leaf and it was an explosion of delicious complex flavors. We also had the spring rolls, which were deep fried (to our surprise) but still good. The green curry was good but not very spicy and the veggies are unique but not very flavorful. But the Phad Thai was off he charts good!!! We'll be back for sure. read more

This restaurant really is as fabulous as all of the reviews online (yelp and trip advisor) say it is. My boyfriend and I were looking for some non-German food in Munich and found this place online. We didn't have reservations, but were seated right away. The service was fantastic - our server was friendly and described several dishes for us and provided us with some suggestions. Although we frequently eat Thai food in the United States, this was much more authentic. It was made with very fresh ingredients and absolutely delicious!
