    Red Thai chili

So after eating so many different kinds of German food I was told by my friend that there is a really good Thai place nearby so we decided to go there on a Thursday night, compared to Thai places in NYC the prices here were really good! The ambiance was nice with plenty of seating, They don't really have full table service so you go up front order and take your drinks to the table and your food is brought out to you. I can't compare the red Thai chicken to anything else because it was the first time I've had it but it was a good mix of spicy and savory with a little sweetness also, I enjoyed it, the menu featured most of the basic Thai food items but some things were missing, for instance there was no pineapple fried rice and no drunken noodles either but it was ok I got to try something new

This is ok tasting Thai food built for the German palette. It's a reasonably big place with nice intimate dimly lit interiors. There are seats outside as well for the warm days. It's located in a residential area and away from the main road so nice and quite. The menu is fairly big with a selection of starters, soups, salads and mains. It says Thai Vietnamese but most of it was Thai style. I was excited by the massaman curry in the menu and we decided to order it along with a papaya salad, green curry and duck red curry to share. We also had starters and I ordered a Peony Passion cocktail to start. I loved the cocktail but the food lacked the thick creamy texture you can expect in good curries and lacked intensity of flavour. Most of the sauces were too thin and took away from the flavour of the dish. The meat was very good quality but that did not make up for the lack of flavour. It was all ok tasting but nothing that blew me away. I tried the Mung bean ice cream which was also ok and did not taste like much, just quite sweet. Service was very friendly and welcoming and the prices were a bit on the high side. We thought our meal was ok but did not like it enough to make me want to come back here again. I am glad I tried it but not likely to rush back here again.

Very tasty, and we eat Thai food frequently. The ownera are clearly proud of their food!read more

It's divided into two rooms with a small hallway in the middle. The furniture here is nice and quite comfortable. The decor is simple but elegant. Good ambience with friendly service. It did get quite warm inside after it filled up but overall a lovely atmosphere. The menu here is quite extensive however, the choice of vegetarian is limited, all up about three or four dishes, I think. Many classic Thai dishes were on offer and as we were a group of six it was possible to try quite a few dishes off the menu ;-) we ordered the prawn wrapped in beetle leaf, veg spring rolls, banana flower salad, bean salad and prawn and seafood cake for starters. They were all ok but nothing blew me away on the starters. The banana flower salad had a good kick to it but the sauce was missing a bit of the sweet element common to this salad. My main course of fish with a salad of raw mango, lemongrass and good and it was spicy, as I asked for it spicy ;-) just note that spicy here is just that, spicy I really enjoyed this dish. I also tried four of the other main dishes and they were also quite ok. I had the date cake with ice cream for dessert and it was quite ok. The wine list is very small but well priced and decent. I have not had a lot of Thai food in Munich but, the ones I have had is generally below par. In comparison this place is a cut above. The ingredients are fresh and prices are also quite reasonable. The hosts are very friendly and service is quite ok. They did miss a few things as the place was full but on average, good service. Might want to reconsider the two plate main (rice comes on a separate plate) serving style, as it takes up too much room on the table. I would happily come here again. Good Thai places are hard to find in this town and this one delivers good quality and tasty Thai cuisine. With some modifications to the flavours this place would be perfect for me :-) It's good Thai served in a cosy ambience.

The restaurant and its few outdoor tables were already full in this sleepy northern suburb of München. We were seated right away, the back tables having a nice view of the green and peaceful back yard. She then proceeded to introduce us to Thai using a plate of fresh herbs and ingredients. Her enthusiasm, cheerfulness and knowledge was the same for each group that came in. At her recommendation, we tried the kha appetizer. I literally had to pause and sigh after the first bite of kha. The combination of flavor, spice and temperature was exquisite. The rest of the meal was equally amazing. I would fly back to Munich just to eat dinner here.

The waitress was also the cashier, hostess, and maybe even the kitchen help, though it's pretty much a one person kitchen. I didn't ask about water, assuming it would come out with the meal. Then I noticed that not a single person had anything to drink. Our food came out and she leaned in/squeezed in to shove our food onto the table, and left without even glancing over. That was it for service. So forget about asking for water! The food was OK, but I thought the portions were very small. I also had some wontons that were dry and sub par. And it's cash only. This place is a "wish I'd skipped" for me.

For the judgy, it's not exactly like what you find in Thailand, but it will make you smile a little.
