I signed up for an adult community education class to learn more about bookbinding, and had a blast. I learned many fun technical terms (read: throw up. Yes, really). Pictures of my first amateur creation included. I highly recommend the classes, as they stive to make everyone of all ages and abilities feel welcome. I got there a full 30 minutes early one night just to be able to browse the giftshop, which contains not only a plethora of bookbinding materials and supplies (which are pretty niche) but creations by local artists and just cool book-themes things in general. I will definitely shop there for gifts for my other book-obsessed friends. Bring a buddy and go check it out, or bring a book and just go chill in the cafe on a day when you don't feel like interacting with humanity.

I feel like with as many Norwegians living in the Twin Cities, that the exhibits could be way more comprehensive. If you're going for an event, I'm sure you will enjoy it. If you are simply going for the exhibits, save your time and consider visiting the Swedish Institute which is far more comprehensive and well done.

My parents are buried here but I went a different path with my brother and just ordered urns and a grave marker from Lakewood. When an urn came in with the wrong symbol they made it right. They are also timely in answering questions. On Memorial weekend you can even buy flowers when you drive in and they have ground urns available for use. My only complaint is how they numbered the cemetery. Have a cemetery map handy as the section numbers do not go in order. You will need it if you make a wrong turn.

It's a used bookstore with more than 40,000 books; so prepare to spend at least an hour (if not an afternoon) perusing the bookshelves. It's easy to get lost in the stacks here, as there are LOTS of hallways and a labyrinth of rooms. There is a room for small gatherings, a rare book room, and an alcove to tuck away with a book. One window in the store has a bit of nostalgia as it overlooks Bob Dylan's old apartment (and is now the Loring Bar). If you love a used bookstore and a historic site, this place is worth a visit.

B) she had a meeting with us to discuss and get a feel for our personality and style. She made us very comfortable and is easy to communicate with. C) gorgeous sketches were done in her sketchbook, and then snapshots were sent over to decide what we liked best. I would like to mention here that her margin of error is zero to none. When I sketch/design in a sketchbook, you better believe there are cross outs, eraser marks and general scribbles. Not in Sarah's sketches, she is PRO. So, the toughest decision of the whole process was which of these AMAZING designs do we choose. D) we gave some more feedback and then she sent us digital files of the hand drawn watercolor lettering. All within the timeline we asked for... E) is for Excellent.

As a new theatre actor, having just finished my first production (Hanging of the Greens) and…read moreprepping for my second (Murder Room) both of which are Lakeshore productions, I must say I am particularly fond of this theatre. I was welcomed with open arms, and everyone at the theatre has been a joy to work with. A lot of time and care goes into the productions which are put together primarily by volunteers (the entire cast, most of the crew, etc). If you have the chance, do check out a performance, you're almost certain to have a good time! :)
