I went there for back pain and after helping to relieve the pain they concentrated on building up my strength in my core to prevent another injury from happening. I recommend them highly!! Linda J

My Doctor had no recommendations in Vero, so he reached out to a practice he refers to in Stuart for a referral. That PT recommended Michael or his wife at Back in Form. I reached out to them and explained my needs to Melanie, the receptionist. I would typically need 20 to 25 visits a year to deal with two injuries, one injury would be covered by Medicare and another from a settlement agreement/self-pay. Melanie said she reached out to the settlement agreement provider, as well as Medicare and all was good. I showed up from my appointment and found that the appointment was not with Michael or his wife and that they would not do an evaluation on my neck yet because they did not have a current prescription. This had been discussed previously with Melanie and she knew that I had an appointment with a new doctor to manage that injury. I reminded her that Florida is a "direct access state" meaning a prescription for physical therapy is not required, she still refused to allow the scheduled evaluation without a current prescription. I went ahead with an initial evaluation with a PT for my shoulder. Next, I went to the new cervical orthopedic Physician, received a prescription for neck PT and at my next appointment, presented Melanie the prescription. She stated that I would not be able to get an evaluation on my neck unless I was discharged on my shoulder. Apparently, according to her, this practice will not work on two different parts of the body at the same time or she was being intentionally obtuse. I said thank you and left. To say that I was disappointed is an understatement, she wasted their time as well as mine. To say that she was an obstructionist would minimize the situation at best as I was very clear with my needs and Melanie's indicated they were good with those expectations. I subsequently tried to reach out to the owner without a return phone call, that alone should give any potential patient pause. My impression of this practice is that if you have a minor injury that you need help with, it might be OK, but if you are looking for a long term partner for long-time injury, run.
