I don't know what image is used to elaborate on the definition of the word 'basic' in the Oxford English Dictionary, but for my money, it should be a picture of the local train station serving the Longbridge area of Birmingham. No automated ticket barriers, no shop (or vending machine that I've ever seen), and the only way to get into the toilets is with a key from the ticket office, so forget about using that if it's late at night. One feature that the station does have that I personally enjoyed was the fact it had four tracks running through it, two heading into New Street station (which is about a 20 - 25 minute ride) and two away, with the middle two tracks reserved for fast trains, which are always fun to see go rocketing past (you can probably tell how little else Longbridge station has going for it to make me bring this up).
