I've never encountered another physician who really takes the time to listen and engage with us like Dr Rubin does. She's extremely compassionate, caring and competent. She has referred us to several specialists along the way and we have been happy with each of those. She helped us through an episode of depression with my son, and issues with my visiting mother who's health concerns were complicated by dementia. Young or old you feel like you are the only person that matters when you are with her during and after an exam.

Her new office is small, seemingly by design, and personally, I LOVE it! I hate to feel like I am being shuffled about through office staff, nurses, and a doctor who only has 5 minutes to see me. All of the staff I encountered here are very friendly, courteous and seem to enjoy their work. It's so refreshing when people are genuinely friendly and caring, especially in the medical field when you're one in thousands. Her new office has all the latest equipment and technology (PCs in the exam rooms and no paper charts!). I have always found Dr. Rubin to be extremely friendly and personable, as well as knowledgable. She is a fantastic listener, and is never dismissive of any of my health concerns. I sincerely hope her new practice is a success, as I can't see myself going anywhere else.

A quick internet search led me to AFC Urgent Care. Thank goodness! I walked into a clean facility with no wait. Check in was simple - the nice receptionist sent me a link via my phone where I easily scanned my insurance and driver's license. That's it! A few minutes later I was taken back for an examination. The nurse was so kind and empathetic. I had no voice and so much congestion in my head and chest. The doctor came in shortly thereafter and listened patiently, then sent me off with my prescriptions. Anyway, when I first saw her she immediately got me on Prozac for my anxiety disorder since my current medication was not working. Then she got me on birth control and ordered labs for me since I hadn't done labs in a while. What I wasn't a fan of was going to her every couple weeks for follow ups. At one point, I was feeling really sick and dizzy and she attributed it to the Prozac and side effects. Not once did she even consider asking me if I could be pregnant. Sure enough, I WAS pregnant because the birth control she gave me failed and I gave birth to a little girl in October. She also saw my husband. Completely beat around the bush when he would request labs that he desperately needed done. She would not let him get it done. She prescribed him some weird diabetic shots that made him super sick. Won't help with his disability paperwork. It was just a mess with him seeing her. We have since gotten insurance and different doctors.

I'm able to breathe out of my nose for the first time in over 30 years and most of my snoring is gone. I'd give both doctors and nurses 5 stars. The biggest issue is the billing department. I prepaid surgery, and received a bill 7 days after surgery. They send you messages constantly like a debt collector until it's paid . Here is the irony. The billing department actually owes me money. They've owed me for three months. I've called, spoken to 3 people. Yet a check was never sent to me and I'm still owed money. I've never received it. The other issue is calling the phone line is like calling the IRS. 10 prompts through the IVR. Sometimes you get someone, other times you get a VM. It's very frustrating. Aside from the difficultly reaching folks there , the fact I was spammed with bills, when they owed me and still haven't paid me. It was a good experience.

I have a history of miscarriages, so when I found out I was pregnant, the staff really took care of me. I had HCG levels checked and was reassured constantly of what symptoms to look for. I had my son with the practice in 2022 and now we're back again with baby number two. Both times they've listened to all of my concerns and addressed them right away. I don't trust many people, but I would trust Dr. Alarcon and Dr. Tagechian with my life and the life of my babies over and over again. I've seen some bad reviews about wait times, but to put in perspective, I'd rather wait 30 extra minutes to ensure that my doctors are giving me all the time I need in the room than for them to be on time 24/7 and running out of the room at the 15 minute mark. Good care takes time and they're worth waiting for.

Saw Dr Tag here for the first time back in 2021 while I was still in college. Complaints of severe…read moreperiod pain, irregular cycles, urinary frequency, fatigue and bloat. She did a basic work up (bloodwork/US) and told me I had PCOS, although I showed no physical characteristics of PCOS (now PCOM), lab work was normal. She diagnosed me based off of my ultrasound (told me I had the ring of pearls- looking back I definitely didn't, they were just normal follicles...) and due to my cycle irregularity I for sure had it. Of course she heavily pushed birth control as most GYNs do which I declined bc it makes me feel terrible. Just for background, I've always been on the slimmer side with a low bmi but hypothalamic dysfunction wasn't mentioned. I asked her if there was any chance I had endometriosis. Nope it's definitely PCOS/brushes me off. I remember pushing her on the urinary symptoms- told me to not drink caffeine but I may have interstitial cystitis and I could get a referral to her sister who is a urologist if I wanted. I was 20 at the time & in nursing school so I just went with what she told me & didn't look further into anything. A year or two later I saw a male physician there for a pap, I think his first name was Carlos. He was nice/fine. He told me he did not think I had PCOS, if I did, maybe a "touch of it". I basically let it go at this point and just figured my symptoms were normal for me. Fast forward to 2025, now working in a fertility clinic. My husband and I had been TTC for a few months with no luck so I did diagnostic testing. Ultrasound showed bilateral endometriomas. They weren't present on my scans in 2021 so I can't fault Dr Tag for not seeing them, but she completely ignored my concerned for endo when I asked several years earlier & had several symptoms. I had endo excision earlier this year (2026). Stage 4 endo was found. I obviously do not see her anymore, but really hope she takes her patients concerns more seriously now. Endo is difficult to diagnose in general but should be on the table of discussion for all OBGYNs. She made me feel silly for thinking I had endo when it turns out I was right. & no, I do NOT have PCOS. I wasn't able to advocate for myself at the time due to lack of knowledge & find it frustrating the MD I saw also did not advocate for me then either. Here's to hoping endo is taken more seriously by GYNs in the coming years.

She is brilliant, caring and one of those doctors willing to patiently take every question you might have. She also responds to emails within a short time occasionally within minutes. I can't say enough good things about her other than I thank God she's my doc.
