Do not order their ribeye. I ordered their nearly thirty dollar ribeye steak expecting quality and instead got sub-par crap. I asked for it to be cooked medium-rare. Instead of what I asked for, I got a borderline blue steak. Nearly raw inside, practically zero fat rendering, no flavoring, and it was cold. I asked for it to be taken back and recooked to medium-rare and was told that it was already medium-rare. When they did take it back, I got the steak back at medium-well. Way overcooked and now slightly leathery and almost zero pink, the fibers were contracted and there was little rendered fat left in the meat. I am highly dissatisfied with their steak and do not recommend to anyone who cares for a quality steak. $30 for a steak that could easily be made better at home. On another note the rest of the food and service was alright. read more

Nice atmosphere, service was good, but the $15 crab dip leaves a lot to be desired. It was cheese dip, that is all, no crab present. The fried shrimp was what you would expect. Nice portions, but not sure I would repeat a visit for seafood. I've tried other food there, sandwiches and pizza which were fine. Really the only complaint would be to correct the overpriced cheese/crab dip. read more

One of the better steaks I've had in a while and at a price that was half what I paid at a chain steakhouse. Waitress was great and the bartender too. We are at the Long Point Grille & Bar on a recent trip to West Virginia. There is not a lot of options in this area so when we were there the restaurant was full both inside and out. We did not feel that hungry so just ordered a pizza to split. They did not have a very large selection of beers but I did find one I liked. The pizza was was good and the service was fast and friendly. From what I could tell the place is supported mostly by local people. If we come back to this area we would like to try some of the other options that they offer. read more

We were on our way to the beach but made stops along the way through Summersville and NRG area. We had visited this place once before for a quick lunch and now we had the whole family. They were very accommodating and the server was amazing. We started with Buffalo chicken dip and cheese curds. The burgers and fries looked great however 2 of us were disappointed with our pizzas. Full bar, looked like a nice patio. It was a place that had several regulars at the bar. After debate we decided on pizza, my only regret was that I didn't get wings. Side salads were sizable and the home made ranch was great. Pizza was good, I assume we had the traditional crust as we did not specify. It was cooked well, a bit of crunch to the crust. Been here before and never had any complaints. Food is great as always, however today was crowded, AC wasn't working. I ordered a Mimosa Colada )didn't see coming soon) but bar tender didn't say anything and made me a "gummy bear" instead. I saw her making a drink and was surprised when she put it in front of me because the ingredients were nothing in a mimosa colada. Drink was good and STRONG. Watching her "wash" the glasses made me Leary of the sanitation process (washing with sponge). Like I said, food is always great!!! 3 stars because of the other mentionables. read more

My husband and I visited West Virginia for a mini vacation over Memorial Day weekend. We did research on a few places to eat, and Long Point Grill & Bar was on the list to try as one of the local restaurants. They do not disappoint! Wait Time: For a Friday night around 7-7:30, we got a booth fairly quickly. But definitely prepare if you have a larger party and come early! Service: The service was excellent! Our server Courtney B. was an absolute sweetheart with southern charm and she treated us like she had known us for years. Very personable and outgoing! Ask for her! Food: everything we ordered was amazing! We started with their specialty wings and they were crispy and full of flavor. We also got their pizza and smokehouse pork fries. The pizza was NOT burnt at all, light and thin crust which my husband loved. The pork fries were incredible. Beer battered fries, smothered in melted cheese and real bacon pieces topped with delicious pork BBQ. The food was worth every penny! 10/10 for sure. We will definitely be back to visit! read more

Making the trip from NC to OH and found this little gem in WV Across the road from its namesake overlook. Cold beer and good food with a friendly bartender/waitress. He got the wrap, fries and I gave him my coleslaw and he loved it all. I got the chicken tenders, a baked potato and the coleslaw (I gave it to him). My food was great too. I have not been Long Point for some time. I will never go back there ever again. The service was horrendous. We waited 15 minutes just for our drink order. And the waitress had no idea how to make it and snapped at my girlfriend while making the drink. The server then got the food order of two parties that came in after us. It took another 15-20 minutes to get our tab for the drinks we ordered. When we told her we were going to another place in Fayetteville to eat and she strongly recommended the place we were going to. At no point were we mean and remained friendly since she was clearly new. Which brings up the point of management scheduling her alone and new on a busy Saturday afternoon. A horrible experience all the way around. Must be new owners or management because this place didn't used to be like this. Not worth the trip. read more

My friend, our sons and myself went here for dinner after setting up the campsite in the rain! It is in a good location close to the lake and two different campground areas. It is also across the street from an overlook at Longpoint There is adequate parking for the size of the establishment. There is also seating at the bar, inside and outside. We opted for inside since it was raining. We were seated quickly and our drink order was taken. The place was very loud when we first went in. I think someone was playing some music on a jukebox, because after a few songs- the volume in the place dropped. We ordered a grilled chicken salad, burgers and a flatbread philly cheesesteak sandwich. The food took a long time to come and the place was not overly crowded. The food was pretty good. The Philly cheese steak was the best selection by far. We also had some jalapeno poppers, which were just ok. I would try a different appetizer next time. There are also a few large screen tvs that are nice to have up as well. They have a great blonde beer on tap- Big Timber Blonde. Definitely give that a try if you like blonde beer. Overall, the place was ok. I would go back but probably try other places in the area as well. read more

This is a great place to catch lunch, with nice outdoor deck seating and very friendly staff. The bacon cheese fries and lemon dill salmon (yes opposite palates here) are both out of this world. The lady who served us was extremely friendly and she happily accommodated my request to put the salmon on a salad (the menu didn't include that option) and also to cut the southern sweet tea with unsweetened tea (I love sweet tea but not syrup lol) Definitely looked like a fun place to go for dinner but anytime is a good time for great food and service. read more

Wonderful little restaurant across from the Summersville lake overlook. We stopped after riding The Talon on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Service was quick and our waitress friendly. We started with the Buffalo dip cam out bubbling hot, and it was creamy, cheesy goodness. Could have used a bit more chicken, but other than that it was spot on. For our mains, we opted for the daily special of potato soup with grilled cheese and the Spicy Hawaiian pizza. The potato soup was hearty and was well seasoned. The grilled cheese was tasty and oozed American cheese. My pizza was delicious. Spicy isn't a word I would choose to describe it though. It was kind of sweet, but I love it. I added some red pepper flakes to spice it up a bit. The hot honey garlic drizzle was very garlicky. I will add this note: they charge extra for everything. It was 11.47 for a bowl of soup with cheese, and sour cream (each an additional charge) and the grilled cheese. That's a bit pricey in our opinion, but not enough to deter us from going back. read more

It's not bad and you have no problem swinging by for a meal.. This place is that friend. We were hanging out at Summersville Lake (now there's a place you need to visit) and ate dinner here as well as breakfast the next day. Why twice? Not many options. Dinner: We both had the shrimp baskets. The coleslaw was good, the shrimp large and butterflied. Really good considering they were packaged. The broccoli was overcooked and watery, the wine pour was small. 3.5 stars Breakfast: Pancakes were good, eggs cooked right, gravy weak, biscuits too dense, home fries lovely...more like chips. I could eat a whole plate of those bad boys and I think...drum roll...they were made fresh not packaged. 3 stars I'd eat here again if I stayed in the area because out of your local options, this one is one of the better ones. read more

Waited over 50 minutes for food. They brought out one of our 4 members food 10 minutes into being sat so she was forced to eat without us. Once our other food came out she was of course finished and the rest of the food was beyond awful. A wet and sloppy calzone full of banana pepper juice. Totally soggy and disgusting. The beans and cornbread dish which is a "specialty" is canned beans with dry cornbread and a measly portion of even drier over fried hash browns. The manager came over after we said our piece to the waiter (who was wearing clothes shabby enough to be a dishwasher? Maybe...) and she rudely asked what was wrong. Never again. It's a shame how the service industry lacks in our town here. If you want great food (or even good compared to this place) go to Fayetteville and get pies and pints or better yet, go to Original Flavor Bistro in Summersville. You won't be dissatisfied with either of those options. Hope this place gets put under new management and starts treating their customers with some respect. read more

Dear Laverne K @ Long Point Grille & Bar- The first response to a hair being in someone's food should not be to replace the parts that the hair touched. Her first reaction should have been to immediately apologize, throw that burger away and have another made. Her response told me everything I needed to know about the way she was running the place. She wasn't concerned with cleanliness at all and with the Hep scare at restaurants recently, it just makes this worse. Our server did apologize but the Front End Mgr DID NOT even though she may have told you she did. Also you don't bring the same burger back to me TWICE and THEN offer to make a new one. The fact that I have to explain to you what happened after writing such a detailed review is ridiculous. And you continuing to basically blame me for not letting her fix a situation that I gave her several opportunities to fix is completely absurd. read more
