They have solved 5 medical issues I had. Twice I was out of town and Dr. Binamira did a video telemedicine call with me to look at my issue and order the proper medications at a local pharmacy. I truly cannot say enough good things about the service, support and check backs with me to make sure things were improving. Also, Dr. Binamira does not charge a ridiculous sum that many of the Family Practice Doctors on Hilton Head Island charge for so called concierge service. The annual concierge fee from these other doctors can be $1,500 or more per year per person at the beginning of the year just for the ability to call these doctors for care. Of course these concierge doctors also find a way to charge insurance companies and Medicare for their services too. There are laws against this kind of predatory medical pricing but somehow they are not being enforced. In conclusion, Dr. Binamira provides great service without upfront fees. I was not able to keep my bone density appointment because the order was not coded properly and the practice would not respond to multiple requests to update the order. They would not respond to the imaging facility and would not respond to my direct inquiries. The patient portal is the worst I have ever seen. It is ironic that a practice that won't answer patient phone calls uses a patient portal that won't support online messages. The shabby appearance of the office is in keeping with the generally sloppy practice management.

We are not sure how being a 'new' patient or being a 'Heritage' patient are synonymous or if this is even a legal way for a doctor to operate in South Carolina. In any event the manner of his assistant on the phone was not a recommendation for this Dr.. She was unhelpful and certainly did not demonstrate the qualities in medical care that Dr. Scharold alleges he subscribes to on his website.

Once you become a member they treat you like a part of the family. Scheduling is so easy and when you meet with the doc, his entire focus is on you. I am physically fit and active without major medical concerns so I was surprised to find out how much they could do to improve my well being. I have learned much about being proactive in taking better care of my mental and spiritual side-no weird sermons here or anything just great guidance- and I feel much better off for it.
