Whenever you can make an elderly man who is stubborn and set in his ways feel seen and heard then you have a doctor who is guided by a higher power. I think dad was pretty happy with his first visit. We have been with Dr. Beard for 15 plus years. Yes we have experienced wait times (no more than an…read morehour to hour and a half. But that is OK. He runs late because he gives personal attention above and beyond that of most (if not all) doctors. Yes, he takes longer times with the patient, but it is due to his personalization, friendliness, and overall great treatment. He will be retiring soon (December this year), so those that are complaining about the wait times, just "wait" till you get the 1, 2, 3, go from your new doctor. Do not expect to be treated with the TLC this man affords all of his patients, not to mention the total professionalism and knowledge that he possesses. Been kicking around this world for 70 years and have never met a Doctor in all that time that possesses the talent, expertise, knowledge, and personalization this man has given us as well as those other patients. So this time we tried to go see one of the other doctors in the practice because we were told that really he's the only one that ever runs behind. Our appointment was confirmed for 330 we got here 315 and they informed us our appointment was actually at 4:00. It is now 4:30 and we're leaving because we need to go pick up our child and they don't know what time it will be calling us back.

Very unorganized, with training residents and felt like I was a lab rat because it didn't seem like they knew what they were doing. Never got to see an actual doctor. They had mistaked me for someone else, ordered a wrong test and made me worry for days about my baby before calling and apologizing for the inconvenience and explaining what happened. Had to get pricked multiple times because nurses couldn't stick my vein correctly, until Ms. Jackie came (which she is wonderful by the way!! only good part about this office). So I eventually had enough and transferred to the Pooler location.
