Very friendly staff! I would highly recommend this dentist office to anyone with dental anxiety.read more

I do not recommend this office at all. My mother's experience at The Dentists of Auburn was…read moreextremely disappointing and honestly concerning. She came in because she was experiencing pain in a specific area. They took a localized X-ray, but the X-ray did not show anything concerning. They performed a sensitivity test, and while she was sensitive in the area, no additional testing was done beyond that. Despite this, she was immediately told that she needed an extraction, bridge, and implant. What was even more concerning was being told that since the X-ray did not show anything but there was still severe pain, there "must be something in the bone" that would only be visible after extraction. The dentist also stated that other dentists would be "unethical" if they suggested another course of treatment. As I asked questions on my mother's behalf, the staff did not seem happy to answer them and came across as resistant and dismissive. It felt like we were being discouraged from asking for clarification. Only after I continued pressing for answers did we finally receive more explanation. On top of that, there was a strong and uncomfortable sense of urgency being pushed onto us to make a quick decision regarding major dental work. That did not sit right with us, so we sought additional opinions. After seeing three other dental offices, we learned there were other possible remedies and that extraction should only be considered as a last resort. The most recent dental office specifically stated they would not even consider extraction without additional imaging, including a CT scan. At best, the original recommendation was wrong. At worst, it felt unnecessarily aggressive and irresponsible. Dental procedures like extractions and implants are permanent, expensive, and emotionally stressful decisions. Patients deserve thorough evaluations and a full discussion of all treatment options before being pushed toward irreversible procedures. I have been to many dental offices over the years, and nothing has compared to this experience. I used to genuinely love The Dentists of Auburn, but ever since the office was purchased and staffing changed, the quality of care and overall experience have changed for the worse. Based on our experience, I strongly encourage others to seek a second or third opinion before agreeing to major dental work here.

I waited a week after my appointment to write this review, just to see if my opinion would be…read morebetter when I wasn't so aggravated with the situation. No, my opinion hasn't improved. Dr. Rohdy may be a fine dentist, he seemed knowledgeable, but I wouldn't consider letting him work on my teeth after having to deal with his office policies, misleading website, condescending manner and the rather brusque and rough hygienist. I contacted his office on Tuesday July 7th , I had lost a crown on a molar the Friday beforehand and my dentist was out of town. His receptionist made an appointment for the next week, stating that they were "full up." I booked the appointment, but kept trying to get in elsewhere. I did finally get into an emergency dentist and have the crown replaced prior to this appointment, but I kept the appointment because my dentist wasn't close and was difficult to get in to see on my schedule. I arrived at the office, it's a normal small dental office, was greeted and checked in by the friendly receptionist. (On a side note, I tried to use the guest WiFi, but it did not work.). I was shortly taken back to a room by the hygienist. I was rather taken aback that she thought I was there for a cleaning! If I had not had that tooth fixed, it would have been uncrowned and I would have been in pain unable to eat or drink anything but tepid water for 12 days. ( a fact that I did explain to the receptionist when I made the appointment, in the hopes that I could get in earlier) 12 days! And they thought I would be happy with a teeth cleaning and exam and to come back another time to get that crown fixed. Thank god for an emergency dentist in Federal Way. I go ahead with the cleaning and exam, because 1. I'm there, 2. I've already had to take time off of work and 3. I do need a new dentist. She takes x rays. Then she proceeds to manually scrape at my teeth. She was not gentle, nor was this pleasant. (I haven't had a manual dental cleaning in over 20 years, every dental office I have been to has the "sonic/water jet" device that they remove tarter with). This torture is finally over, and I meet Dr. Rohdy. He gives me his assessment, and it's not great, several crowns need to be replaced, at least one filling needs to be replaced with a crown and a couple of small fillings need to be taken care of. (I was a bit taken aback, it was only 8 months since my last cleaning and exam and my dentist hadn't said anything about replacing crowns or fillings) As I am speaking with Dr. Rohdy, a mention that if I proceeded I would want to take care of as much as possible in one visit. I fear dental treatment, like many people, and require Oral Sedation with Halcyon. He then said he didn't provide sedation. I was very puzzled, as it's listed on his website. He said that the site didn't say he performed sedation dentistry, just that sedation dentistry is an option for people, that he was "just giving people information". I thank him for his time, tell him I will look for treatment elsewhere and leave. I then go back and check his website. How could I have confused basic information with a service being offered? In my opinion, because his website is set up to make you believe that sedation dentistry IS a service he provides. Go to his site, click procedures, and behold sedation dentistry is listed. Click on "sedation dentistry " and read all about your options for sedation. Read the entire page. See the nice little statement at the end? "To see what options are available for your visit, or if you have questions or concerns about sedation dentistry, please contact our Auburn dental office today!" That more than infers that Dr. Rodhy provides sedation dentistry. Am I mad? No. Irritated? Yes. Dr. Rohdy wasted my time (had I still been in pain the entire time I would indeed be mad), he wasted my insurance benefits on a trip to his office when I can't have another cleaning or exam for 6 months, making it hard to find and "interview" a new dentist. He tried to make me feel ignorant because I was somehow confused by his website. His hygienist took out her aggression on my teeth and gums. But the worse thing is...this "top dentist" appears to be willfully misleading potential patients. The question is..to what end? Is he a good dentist? I honestly don't know. But, I am not willing to take a chance and find

I had terrible experience with his unprofessional money hunger behavior about dental implant only…read morelast three weeks failed . I didn't receive standard care during the implant removal and later i found I was not qualified for this implant. They Cheat my billing I paid almost $1400, I paid about 300$ more than I should and insurance paid more than one thousand. I had extraction bone graft , cleaning, deep cleaning, and implant in this clinic. The extraction he did fine , the bone graft other two dentist together checked said there is nothing. The dentist doing cleaning unlike hygienist. this clinic has billing problems many time just verbal unlike others clinics with papers. Before the implant no problem, i got the service he got the money that is only he wants. The problem from my implant failed only last three weeks. He did the implant two times during the procedure and went so deep, after implant 15 days he checked said great , one week later he said infection he just pulled out the implant without anesthesia, I was so painful and he didn't clean the area just washed my mouth, at the end I didn't want to redo. They gave me partial money from I paid they still have the money from insurance. Some problem caused from the manager, she lied and blame me didn't take antibiotics,it was not true the implant 15 days was fine after 20 days he said infection he just pulled out, if his manager is kind heart or if treated me a little better the things be different. This dentist only listen to his manager money hungry not care about patient when he did bad work. Dr make mistake a lot therefor Dr is call practice this dentist need to understand this. Because I was pain so after I had other dentist checked gave me CT scan said I had the tooth infection next to the implant, that is the reason the implant failed and I should not have a the implant . It was very unfair so I went to little court, this dentist very unreasonable he didn't take any responsibility and all the work he did, he said he did the work and he still had about 300$ but he ask more than one thousand back. My implant was tight but he said loose came out to avoid he didn't give me anesthesia for removal, my money overpayment he said refund then asked another more money and my part of the payment he said write off then asked me more money, he is really money hungry use trick to get. Later on from his letter to ATG said my next tooth to implant had infection before the implant, so i was not qualified for implant and he still gave me the implant. He doesn't know what he doing on implant and he sold his conscience for money, here has character limited there will be more details on Reddit. I have proof. Highly recommend avoid this clinic.

I admit that I had to reschedule a number of appointments because I have kids and we get sick often, especially within a school year. I'm a responsible patient and reschedule in advance if it's possible. However, it's hard to predict when you can get sick. The office manager, Desiree, was hard to work with from the beginning because she was abrupt and unwelcoming when I was calling to reschedule. She threatened me that she was not going to reschedule appointments for me anymore. I got the point and was planning to come, but a day before my appointment I got sick with bad sore throat and fever. I called to reschedule, but nobody was picking my phone calls, though I was calling multiple times a day. They didn't call me back even after I left a voicemail. On the day of the appointment, I finally managed to get Desiree on the phone. She said that she cancelled my appointment, and I was not their patient anymore. She didn't want to listen to my reasons, blamed me and hung up on me. I tried to call her back, but she was not answering my phone calls. Being sick, I drove to the dental office to talk to Dr.Kim. I expected a compassionate conversation with him and telling him how awful Desiree was to me. However, he stated right up front that I was an unreliable patient, and I had to look for another dentist. Also, he said that he was not going to change his policy for me, and he refused to make an exception. I just couldn't believe in it! Obviously, to be his patient, you have to come sick to appointments, otherwise you fall into unreliable patients' list. I even didn't have a chance to tell Dr.Kim about Desiree's terrible attitude towards me. I left frustrated and humiliated. I wonder how they've managed to get 5 stars in their reviews. It looks like Dr.Kim always stands up for Desiree what allows her treating patients with disrespect. It was extremely hard even get her on the phone. Now, I'm thinking that maybe it was so hard with her because she desliked me by a certain reason. I DO NOT recommend this dental office to anybody, especially to moms who have busy schedules. I feel so sorry for Dr.Ryan. He is a bigger person than his father, and I'm sure he would never humiliate me in front of his office staff!!!

He takes no accountability for his actions and I have lost a tooth as a result. Can't eat food because of this place. Instead of simply removing a crown that had some sensitivity, he drilled straight through the crown and applied significant pressure into the tooth. I could feel it through the local anesthesia, a similar feeling to having a tooth extracted. He held the drill in place for several seconds while glaring at me. When I went to another dentist they x-rayed the tooth and asked me where the traumatic injury came from. I had no choice but to try a root canal, which failed because the damage was too significant so we had it extracted. He then lied and said I had come in that day for a "filling very close to the nerve chamber" instead of replacing the failed crown he put there a few months prior. Holden is a disgrace to his profession and humanity.
