Initially, we thought the place was closed until we observed all the cool patrons parked on the other side and entered through the back. The mentions from other reviewers about the heavy smoke smell are indeed accurate. If you find it intolerable or would rather avoid it, this might not be the ideal spot for you. On the positive side, the bartender was incredibly friendly and sweet--a true grandmotherly figure who takes care of her patrons.

I had a sangria which was pretty good and the breakfast tacos were just okay. I didn't finish them or take them home. Everything here is à la carte and even though the menu is big the prices don't really align with the taste of the food. I don't know what was up with our waitress that night, but the service was really not that good and she seemed to be annoyed that we kept asking for things, but she also seemed like she did not understand and know the menu completely. They even charged us for extra sauce, even though we did not ask for initial sauce in the beginning she never gave us that option. Honestly displays may not last too long, but it's worth a try if you want to try it out if you're in the Plano area.

The atmosphere is…read morelively and modern, with a great mix of indoor and outdoor space that makes it easy to enjoy whether you're there for drinks, food, or a full night out with friends. The concept really stands out--there's a strong social vibe with games, seating areas, and plenty of room to move around, which makes it feel more interactive than a typical bar or restaurant. The drink menu is well-rounded with solid cocktails and beer options, and the food is surprisingly good for a venue that also focuses on entertainment. Service is generally attentive and upbeat, even when it's busy. It's especially great for groups, celebrations, or casual nights when you want more than just sitting at a table. Overall, Sidecar Social delivers a high-energy experience that's perfect for socializing, watching sports, or spending a full evening without needing to go anywhere else.

We played Skee-Ball, had a drink, and ordered the Dip Trio, which was excellent. After walking out, we decided to stay longer after noticing the boxing match was showing on the patio and there was available seating. We were informed there was only one server, and we were happy to be patient. Our server was kind and attentive throughout. However, when we went to pay, our credit card was missing from the receipt holder when returned. After about 45 minutes of searching, it still had not been found. We were disappointed that no manager proactively checked in during this time, and we had to request one ourselves. While an apology was given, there was little effort to resolve the situation or assist further. The missing card caused significant inconvenience, as it is our primary card for household expenses. We had to cancel it and update multiple accounts, and we were unable to continue our planned evening. I understand mistakes happen but my concern is with how the situation was handled by management as well as the server, as a quicker or more proactive response, and being more careful would have made a difference. We were genuinely enjoying our visit and had planned to return, but the experience at checkout left us disappointed.
