Oh my how Long Branch has changed over the past 20 years....what used to be a seedy beach town has turned into the local playground for the affluent. Loaded with expensive condo developments and restaurants Long Branch makes for a great place to visit. The beaches are beautiful while there are too many amenities to list. Pier Village is one of the top attractions, it includes a condo development, restaurants, hotels, lounges, boutiques and a gym. Mcloones Sunday Brunch, Cocktails at Avenue and Dinner at Sirena or Rooneys are some of my favorite things to do.

Escape to the beautiful resort town of Long Branch... I was planning to visit Point pleasant beach & Boardwalk but while looking at the map, I saw this. Been to Asbury beach and point pleasant, so decided to come here and I am glad I did. This is more beautiful then Asbury or any boardwalks around. It is a beautiful resort town with something for everyone, wide sandy beaches and an oceanfront path for jogging, strolling and enjoying a summer full of events. Parking is easy to find. 3/hr on weekends. Beach is clean and guards are there to watch you swim. Palm trees on the beach make it more beautiful. Bar-hotels-Boutiques -shopping complex- Sea view great restaurants, wish anything and you ll get here. This is not your typical boardwalk (yet). I loved it here. Just to the reminder, they do charge a small fee entering the beach. Basically, it's weekend relax gateway and only an hr away from the city.

Nice Hump Day to work from the beach with Kids! To break the cabin fever, we thought to drive to Long Branch (LB), NJ beach since the website states Covid 19 guidelines are being enforced. First it was a beautiful day, not to hot or windy, the tides were high and people were low. Here are the reasons for my review: +1* - LB officials placed a COVID-19 message on your website and enforced it with signage at the beach. Signage in parking areas and blinking light billboards. +1* - Did not see on website but at the beach there is an app VIPLY to download digital passes in advance (13 yo to 61 yo $5 buck during weekday & $7 on weekends) +1* - The part we decided to make our own was clean, clear of seashells, crabs and left over flip flops. -1/2* - At first glance the lifeguards & clerks were great, abiding all the strict rules, making sure people did not go in certain areas and maintained distance. Beach clerks & Lifeguards alike, either changed shifts or started not to care as the afternoon brought more patrons to enjoy the sand, they were not as proactive with following the social distancing rules. -1* - The bathroom area got out of control with to many people going in at once and not replenishing toilet paper and hand soap. We will go back during the week; however we will get there early morning (8am and leave early afternoon (1 or 2pm)

Came at 7am and the sunrise was breathtaking. Unfortunately, it only lasted a few minutes. Since it's winter morning, there was barely anyone and very quiet. Walked on the beach and stayed around the area for 3 hours.

Along the boardwalk.

Great beach without crowds and has a nice, beachy resort feel to it. We were looking for a quick getaway on the Jersey shore which wasn't ....well...the "jersey shore" and the bad reputation that comes with it. A friend at work who lives in the area recommended Long Branch as a hidden gem, so we stayed here over Memorial weekend and weren't dissappointed! I recommend staying at an AirBnb as hotel prices are high, and the better restaurants are also charging Manhattan prices. Otherwise, it's easy and cheap to get there on NJ transit and the beach pass is only $3.50. Clean beach, no aggravating crowds, a nice new Boardwalk and decent Cafes and places to eat. We rented umbrellas right on the beach, but public restrooms were across the street in Pier Village. For food, I had sandwiches at Rib Eye sandwiches, a huge delicious pink lemonade off the boardwalk, and recommend dinner at McLouns Pier House overlooking the water. Get breakfast at Amy's Omelettes on the outskirts of Pier Village. Everything was walking distance but when we needed a ride to the station from brunch we just used Uber. Long Branch beach was just right for a 1-2 day getaway.

Good to be back

Our new favorite go to spot on down the shore. For starters its way closer to us to travel to. Parking is a breeze and it takes credit cards. The beach and boardwalk is peaceful and clean. This is a "more quiet" alternative to the hustle and bustle of the traditional spots down the shore with rides, arcades and wheels etc. The bathrooms are clean. Also the center of town, Pier Villiage has great shops and restaurants. Definitely the place to go to relax.

Pretty beach and so many great places to eat and shop around pier village. I stopped at the ocean on the way back from a checkup/ appointment in the general area - went for a walk- so peaceful and so pretty. I can't talk to the summer crowds/ scene but I've been to several of the pier village restaurants in the past - slightly off peak season- and all were good for food drinks and atmosphere.

Boardwalk ...ahhhhh!!!!

I was told about this place 3 years ago and now religiously go there every summer. The place had been upgraded , gentrification happened in long branch . You go there and you feel like you went on vacation and you are in a resort .. The boardwalk beautiful.the beaches beautiful ..shopping areas clean and safe. Very family friendly ...,take your family and enjoy ...I enjoy long branch better than seaside heights . Plenty parking They do need more restaurants though .

There's plenty of metered parking, paid lots, and garages. If you don't mind walking a few blocks, you can find free street parking near the neighborhoods. There are many access points to the beach with stairs, sand ramps, and wood ramps. Admission is $6 Monday-Friday, $9 on weekends/holidays, and $3 daily for individuals who are 14-17 years old. It's free for seniors and for those who are 13 years old and under. You can buy the badge online or in person. I recently went a few weeks ago and there was security checking people's bags before entering. I have absolutely no problem with this because I always advocate for safety. The beach is well maintained. The sand is clean with no trash laying around. There's a line of fake palm trees, which make for some cute photo ops. The ocean water has been so much clearer with shades of deep blues and greens. It can get crowded on the weekends, but not to the point where you feel like you're on top of each other. Chair and umbrella rentals are available. There are public restrooms at several locations along the beachfront. If you want to eat, shop, or take a leisurely oceanfront walk, Pier Village is right there along the beach and boardwalk. It has over 30 restaurants and boutiques. Fine dining, casual dining, bars, desserts, shopping, etc... there's so much to check out. The boardwalk stretches for miles with many attractions so you won't get tired of being here. Take a dip in the ocean, bathe in the sun, enjoy a lobster roll, or take a romantic stroll along the spacious boardwalk...

Can be crowed on weekends as expected but its not like a beach blanket landmine. The parking is a full day rate in a parking lot across the street or an hourly rate in street parking spaces. In off season (look it up) parking is free. For beach entry, I've only ever paid $5 for a full day beach pass and the amenities are worth it. There are outside showers and foot rinsers right as you come in from the sand to the boardwalk. And bathrooms in the center of the board walk and in the Convention hall. There are lifeguards on duty from 9- 5pm (changes seasonally). The water during all my visits was not cluttered with wash-up or sea plants as other beaches I've visited are. But that could be seasonal. If you set up near the Convention Hall end of the beach you get to enjoy an all day playlist of broadcasted music featuring mostly pop, and dance music. Fell free to dance! If you prefer to relax and not feel like you are at a beach party then simply set up to the right side of the beach when entering from the boardwalk. The people in Asbury, the visitors and locals have always been my favorite reason to return. Boardwalk store owners and restaurant personal alike. If you are a night owl like me, there are late night spots to lounge and grab drinks with friends. A few clubs to choose from as well, including, hop hop/hop, lgbtq and an upscale rooftop one in walking distance. If bars and clubs are not on the agenda, I recommend checking out the boardwalk at night. Anyone for evening mini golf or icecream?

A great beach if you're looking for a place that isn't as busy as Point Pleasant or Seaside…read moreHeights, but has the boardwalk and beach. Even on a weekend when it gets pretty busy, you should be able to find street parking not too far of a walk to the beach and it will be free. In typical jersey fashion, you will still have to buy beach passes though when you get to the water, but I believe you can also pre-purchase them. Even though it can get busy, the beach is clean and I feel people are really respectful of throwing away their trash. The beach draws not just families, but also adults, teens and the college crowd. I'm sure this is due to the fact that it has a little boardwalk area where you can find a ton of varieties of little cute restaurants, snack stands, and shops. If you are lucky and go on a night the Stone Pony has music, you can catch the sounds from the beach or the boardwalk.

As long as I've lived in Jersey I've never been to Seven Presidents ... I literally had no idea it…read moreexisted until the other day when I was informed it was where we were going lol. It's off the Eatontown - 105 - exit on the Parkway and pretty easy to get to. There's paid parking and also a $10 per adult charge to enter. The walk from the parking lots to the beach isn't the most fun but I've found that's typically the case w Jersey beaches. The beach itself is spacious and pretty picturesque with rocks (not safe to swim on and it states that) and it's honestly pretty darn relaxing. People keep to themselves and there are swimming sections that are monitored by lifeguards. The water was warm but rough which is pretty normal, but I don't play with the Atlantic Ocean so I was just fine sticking my feet in. The bathrooms, showers and changing rooms were clean and spacious. I'd definitely visit again and recommend Seven President to anyone who wants a nice beach day without driving waaaay down the Parkway.

The other side of the skate plex is a shallow bowl with a 6/7' vert-ish pocket. Jimmy Hoffa s coffin and planter transition separate the shallow end from the shallower end. The trannies are a bit steep for the height but all in all a good place to learn. Over all fun, very sunny, little shade. Went at open so only locals were beginners and seemed cool enough not dicks or anything.
