My best friend and I reserved some wave runners from this location. I usually wave run at other locations but thought this would be a good location with great views. The weather was great and it was not crowded on the water. We arrived on time for the instructions. The check-in area is just a wooden desk with no signage. The woman giving instructions and tips had no personality. She was very dry and I am not even sure she smiled once. She never said thanks for coming out, enjoy the time, etc. Nothing about her said that she nor the company was appreciative of our business. Even her tone sounded like she didn't want to be there that day. She asked for our driver's license and credit card, and told us to proceed down to the dock. I read some previous reviews and I am not sure is she is the same person other people have commented about. But the consistent theme is that she didn't seem happy and it comes across when speaking with customers. Maybe she was not feeling well or having a bad day. I don't know. Sometimes people are just having a day. We then proceeded down the ramp to the area where a few guys helped us obtain life jackets, board the crafts, and understand how to operate them. These guys (either 2 or 3 of them) were pretty awesome. They had great attitudes, seemed to like the job, and made us feel welcome. Before the Queen Mary, the runners are throttled to not go above 5 MPH, in the wake zone. After we passed the QM and a cruise ship, we opened it up and got some speed. The water was pretty smooth and the breeze felt great. The weather was mid-70s and the views were great, especially getting close to the island and tankers. After we returned from our time on the water and excited the craft, we proceeded up the ramp to the wooden table to retrieve our DL and CC. No one was there so we called the main number. One of the guys said the young lady that we received the instructions from would be back. After she returned, we asked her about our items and she said, "They're in a bench on the dock." Did she go get them for us? Of course not. We returned to the dock to find out our driver's licenses and credit cards were in an unlocked bench on the dock. Anyone could have stolen them and we would not have known until we returned. That is totally unacceptable. They should be held in a secure location. Overall, it was a pretty ok experience. They guys made it a better experience. The best part was enjoying the day with my best friend. I am always open to visiting again and updating my review based on that experience. PROS: * Some employees are a good representative of the company and are the reason I would come back, and why I am giving the business a 3-star rating rather than a 2. If my review was based on just the wave runner and the experience with the guys at the dock, it would be a 4-star rating. * Nice size wave runners. Good weight. * Beautiful views. * Good price. * Easy to make a reservation and complete the waiver online. * Nice opp to have lunch at the Maya Hotel afterward. CONS: * Parking is at the Maya. Not a deal breaker though. There's plenty of parking. It was $14 for the first hour and $5 every 20 minutes after. * No signage at the desk where people get instructions. * Employee low interest in our business (not all employees). * Driver's licenses and credit cards are not kept in a secure area that is not easily accessible. read more

These guys were awesome!!! It was efficient and fun and the jetskis were super easy to use. They also made sure you didn't get any tickets because they automatically slow down when you're in a danger zone. We arrived a few minutes late and they accommodated us. Five stars for customer service and experience! I just want to personally thank the Long Beach Watersports team for being so accommodating and helpful. We had some trouble with our reservation and Jameson along with the rest of the crew did everything that they could to help us and get us our opportunity to ride the jet skis. TIPS; if you have any problem with your reservation be sure to let them know 24 HOURS in advance before your reservation. The person who paid for the reservation MUST be present with the same card that was used to pay for the reservations with a valid government issued ID. IF THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO MAKE IT... call them during their hours AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. There is a waterproof compartment to hold a plastic water bottle and your phone on the jet skis. You can leave your shoes and a towel on the dock, but they are not responsible for your stuff. Leave anything else in your car. It's literally a 7 minute walk from the parking lot. Btw it's 12 dollars for the day. If you bring anyone that's not jet skiing have them bring a lawn chair because there is a patch of grass that they can sit and chill at. Everyone must bring some sort of identification to drive or even ride the jet skis. You don't need a drivers license, just be 18 or over. If you have a partner and they want a break you can drop them off at the dock and they can get off an get on during your 2 hour reservation period. (Juts know that it takes about 10 minutes to get to the open water so it's going to be about a 20 minute round trip). OVERALL: great experience, great team, will be back. read more

If you're considering renting a jetski from this company, I HIGHLY recommend you to steer clear. As someone who has rented jet skis from various companies over the years, this was undoubtedly the WORST experience I've encountered. Upon our arrival, we were unfortunately made to wait for about 15-20 minutes as the group ahead of us completed their instructions, significantly cutting into our rental time. Carly, our instructor, was incredibly nice and provided clear explanations of the rules and guidelines. However, our experience took a turn for the worse when we went down to the dock to put on our life vests and hop on the jet skis. Katherine, the manager, was the one to "greet" us, although her demeanor was far from welcoming. She promptly informed us of our lateness, denying any possibility of extending our time. We explained that we were delayed due to the group ahead of us, but Katherine's response was nothing short of condescending. The thing is my group would have been fine with the shortened rental time and still rode the jet skis if she addressed our concerns in a professional way. However the entire time Katherine spoke down to us, was very rude, and condescending. When we called her out for it, she didn't apologize, and continued to be rude. In a snarky tone she said "the more you guys complain the more rental time you are wasting, thats not my fault". Then she proceeded to ignore us, and call for the group behind us to come up. We had such a terrible experience with this company/manager that we decided to cancel the reservation all together. Overall, Katherine's customer service and attitude was utterly horrendous, displaying no professionalism or willingness to address concerns. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone unless you enjoy frustration and being treated poorly. Hard Pass BTW, if you do end up going to this place, be prepared to pay for parking and waste a lot of time roaming around the lot until a spot opens up. read more

AVOID this place at ALL costs. As someone who rents Jet Skis very often, this experience has by far been the worst. The one MAJOR issue is being treated like garbage and spoken to in a way that is terribly demeaning. My family, little sister and friends came to Jetski, and the manager, Katherine's behavior was absolutely unacceptable, she began making snarky comments about the group saying, "you can either get those life vests on, and head out or waste more of your time." After calling her out on her behavior, Katherine continue to double down without apologizing, it came to the point where she just said "go talk to Carly (the attendant who initially received us). Luckily, Carly was much more professional and profusely apologized for what had transpired. It's a shame what was meant to be a fun birthday experience, turned out to be a very demeaning, disrespectful one. read more

This was my first time ever jet skiing and it was such a great experience! The workers did a great job explaining how to drive the jet ski and gave detailed directions on where to go, what speed you're required to go while by the shore, etc. There was three different islands you can drive to, which you'd have to stay about 100ft away, due to rocks and seaweed that you cannot drive through or it'll mess up the jet ski motors. Overall, i would definitely recommend coming here. It was such an amazing experience and the prices were very reasonable! Make sure to be there at least 10/15 mins beforehand to sign waivers and check in with IDs and a debit/credit card. read more

Got here at 4:40pm(they asked in the email confirmation to get there earlier to fill out paperwork) our reservation was at 5:00pm, waited for over half an hour meanwhile we called, went to the hotel lobby, no answer..for them to later tell us that they had closed up for the day that they are "vERy sORry" but there's nothing they could do about our reservation, mind you we had to move so many plans throughout the day TO BE ABLE TO COME HERE!!
