After a few calls I was told to bring them in, which I did bring and the owner was a upset and asked why. He eventually agreed to look at them. After trying them out he agreed he heard the noise but said that there was nothing he could do. He said we were on our own to sort out our issue. He suggested we take them to another bike shop. But I just happened to be strolling down Quinpool this weeked, and spotted some sweet chapeaus through the window. The BF and I are both hat fans, so we headed in to browse. I was surprised by what I found inside. At first glance, it didn't really look like a snowboard/skateboard shop. I saw sunglasses and watches, Orphanage clothing, and some bags I had to talk myself out of, along with the aforementioned headgear - stylin' wool and straw fedoras, along with a serious selection of awesome toques. But where was the wax, the wheels, the bindings? Oh yeah, turns out there's a whole other level! Here you'll find everything your boardin' heart might desire ... but if, like me, you don't ride (or even have any idea what "goofyfoot" means) check them out anyway - there's plenty to look at and buy, even if you aren't a "Pro"!

Not all boards are created equal, and not all boards are for each rider. It does come down to a personal preference, but if you have never bought a board before, then you are at their mercy. Fortunate for us, he did not lead us astray. The board was pieced together with Spitfire wheels, Bones Redz bearings, Independent trucks and a classic Toy Machine board. I have to say, it looks pretty awesome. Now, I know there might be some people reading this who are saying , why in the heck did you get that board, etc. Well as we were told, it is all personal preference and you can get brain exhaustion from researching all the different boards out there and the biggest thing to remember is , some people get paid to promote certain brands. So this was a great experience, and not too much of a headache. I would recommend this skate shop over any other. Thank you!

Upon seeing the Cleve's sign advertising their $1 sale on shoes, I decided to stop in and see what…read moreselection they were carrying. I know that this location is one of the smaller ones and thus does not always have a large selection, however, one never knows. I ended up finding some shoes that I liked, however, I was not wearing socks that day so it was difficult to tell how they actually fit. The employee was not at all helpful other than to tell me that they had a sale on apparel as well so I could buy some socks. I did end up opening a package of socks as I needed shoes but was not wanting to buy them without trying them on properly. I asked if I had to buy two pairs of socks to take advantage on the Buy 1 get the 2nd half off and he said that I could mix it with whatever apparel I wanted. The sign actually advertised that you received the lower priced item at full price and the second at half......I questioned this as it sounded too good to be true and was told by the salesgirl that this was in fact the deal, great! Upon presenting myself at the cash however, this was a whole different deal. When I questioned the ringing up of the items, I was bombarded by three male employees, all very rudely telling me that it was the more expensive one that was full price. When I pointed out the sign, the older man, presumably the manager ( nobody introduced themselves), took the sign down to bring over to the cash and proceeded to tell me in the most rude manner "Feel free to write head office and you can also take a picture of this sign" and then walked away. When I mentioned that the sales girl (who was standing right at the cash as well) had confirmed my understanding of the sign, she simply bowed her head and walked off...... I proceeded to write head office, having to look up their contact information as the cashier would not provide me with anything. I have now re-sent my email three times in two weeks and have yet to receive any response whatsoever. I have NEVER been treated with such disrespect in any store and certainly not by management as I was at Cleve's!! You can be sure that I will NOT ever recommend anyone to this store and nor will I ever be frequenting it again! Save your money and go to Sport Chek at Dartmouth Crossing where they know how to treat their customers!!

I stuck to the main floor with the clothes, though they do have a second floor with bigger items like tents. I love the set up of the store, though it doesn't seem very friendly for folks who aren't able-bodied with the stairs right at the front entrance. Not super great. The product selection is pretty good, with tons of backpacks and water bottles greeting you as you walk up the stairs to the main floor. The clothing is split between men and women and they seemed to have some pretty decent sales going on. Not going to lie though, I was drawn to the huge selection of socks. A bit weird? Maybe. But there's something so wonderful about a great pair of socks, y'know? Anyway, the Trail Shop is a great independently owned sporting good stores, and if you're in the area I highly recommend checking it out. The staff are friendly and happy to help if you have questions, or to leave you alone if you just want to look around.

We had bought at another SC and did an exchange here. The manager helped us find what we were looking for. They have a great selection of Nike shorts for women. We got a really cool backpack by Burton. I did not know Burton has the best warranty in backpacks, fortunately we have not had to use it. Sport Check stocks great cloths for guys as well. They are pretty much brand names as well as sneakers. We bought some great cleats here. I like Sport Check and they have some great sales as well.
