I'm letting my YELP family know that NTIHN has temporarily moved all of their appointments to the Frisco office due to the pandemic. They have an impressive COVID-19 protocol in place for your protection! If you are immune-compromised, I'm letting you know this office is doing an excellent job of keeping you safe. When I arrived, a note said to wait outside and ring the doorbell. Office staff met me at the door and instructed me to stay on the entry rug. No one was seated in the lobby. She took my temperature and had me fill out a COVID-19 related questionnaire. Everyone in the building was wearing a 3M type medical mask. I was taken straight to an exam room, and instructed to place my personal items in a bag they provided for me. I changed into a gown. As I waited they had a monitor in the room that stated: this room was sanitized with medical-grade wipes between patients, and steamed cleaned last night. We are also utilizing medical-grade air filters throughout the facility to capture a large percentage of airborne COVID-19. Nice! NTINH works as a team, amazing people who definitely go the extra mile. I've been a patient of Dr. Sorins for years, he was the first doctor to take my migraine pain seriously. Eventually, the Botox for migraines is what saved me. I thank the entire team here! Because of Dr Sorin, I'm able to live a normal life. Stay safe.

I scheduled what was supposed to be a preventive wellness visit as a self-pay patient. During the appointment, I was not informed that discussing routine or ongoing health topics would convert the visit into a separately billable "dual visit" with additional charges. There was no advance notice, no cost disclosure, and no opportunity to decline those added services. What makes this more frustrating is that the so-called "ongoing condition discussion" they later cited was limited to the doctor briefly asking -- as I was getting up to leave -- whether I needed any prescription refills. That was the extent of it. There was no separate evaluation, no new complaint, and no dedicated problem-focused exam. After receiving the bill, I filed a formal complaint. The organization stated they conducted not one but two "comprehensive reviews," yet at no point did anyone contact me to ask what actually occurred during the visit. Their investigation relied entirely on internal documentation and staff input, without speaking to the patient involved. They acknowledged this but said patient interviews are not standard for billing reviews -- which is concerning when the dispute centers on what was actually communicated to the patient. Both reviews concluded the charges were appropriate and declared the matter closed, without addressing the core issue of disclosure and consent for additional self-pay charges. My takeaway is that this may not be limited to self-pay patients -- it was only caught in my case because, as a self-pay patient, I carefully reviewed the itemized bill. Many patients with insurance may never see or question how a visit was coded or billed. Greater upfront transparency about when a preventive visit becomes separately billable would prevent situations like this. I'm sharing this so other patients can go in better informed than I was.

I started using his associate whom I never really cared for. But after a couple of visits, I did come to feel comfortable with him and realized he was a really good doctor. We'll after about a year he moved away, and so my search for another GP was on again. It worked out well though as I ended up moving myself. I did a lot of research and decided to give Dr Washburn a try. Yes he is quiet, and doesn't trade jokes with you, but I would rather have a doctor that concentrates on me and my medical needs and not ask me how my cousin Eddie is doing or ask me if I saw the football game last night. Dr Washburn listens to you, let's you do the talking, and doesn't interrupt you . It's a busy office, but I've never felt rushed there, and he's not there to judge you. He listens and suggests what would work best for your situation medically and personally. And he has always fit me in when he can, sometimes same day, if I have an unexpected situation come up. He cares about you as a person and not a number or a bother. And the front desk and office staff are great.

I'm by no means a drug seeker, but have been on a drug that has worked with me for the past decade. Dr. Rai was very professional and honest about his inability to help me switch from my current pain managment provider and have him continue my medication. He did make sure that my co-pay was refunded before I left the office. While, he could not help me, I do have respect for him since he was straightforward and honest. I do wish they would be more upfront about their practice's inability to prescribe controlled pain medication so that others know ahead of time.

I came in due to chronic low back pain. I was referred here by my primary care physician. It was…read moredifficult to make an appointment because the office staff almost never answers their phones. It took days of repeated calls, messages, emails, before I was ever able to get through. However they were able to make an appointment within a few days. For the consultation, the doctor seemed very confident that he knew what the problem was and suggested doing an injection. Did not discuss any other possible treatments (i.e. medication), just insisted the next step was to come back for an injection. I went for the injection and it went fine. I had more pain for the next 7 days than I did before coming in, and after that I felt no pain relief at all. I came in for my scheduled follow-up appointment and was exactly on time. I sat in the waiting room for 30 minutes and then came out to remind them that I was waiting and that it was 30 minutes past my appointment time. The person there said something like "oh you're probably next". I told them I had another appointment after this and could not just wait around indefinitely. I waited another 10 minutes and still no doctor showed up. I decided that I could not stay any longer as they were well past the appointment time. I asked if we can reschedule for a less busy time. They said the next available appointment is 30 days out! I asked if they think it's right that the doctor did not show for my appointment and now I have to wait 30 days for another chance? The scheduler told me that even if I come in after 30 days, the doctor may still be not on-time that day and that I have to just sit there and wait. At this point I decided to just leave and go someplace else. Their treatment was not effective at all, their office staff is impossible to get a hold of since they don't answer the phone or return messages, and if they can't keep their appointments then it's really a deal-breaker for me. The Doctor's listened. They explained everything. They got me healthier than I've ever been since I first got this darn fibroid. On the way out a preacher came to see me and gave me some great advice. This hospital is well-ran and deserves an award. We don't like going to the ER, but if you have to end up in the hospital. The discharge paperwork said to eat whatever I wanted, but the surgeon gave me specific guidance, a handout, on a full liquid diet until my post-op appointment in 3 weeks. I am following her guidance, of course, but the discharge paperwork should say something like: follow your doctor's specific instructions. Also, I did not receive a call checking in on my status after I was discharged. I did follow up with my surgeon's office via MyChart with questions and eventually received a call from her nurse helping me with some minor post op issues, but 5 days after my surgery. In the past, I thought someone from either the doctor's office or the hospital itself called to check on the patient within a day or two (from our prior experience with Texas Health Frisco). Also, my husband stayed with me in the room overnight and I had to ask the nurses for him to be provided pillows and blankets, that would have been nice if the nurses attending me would have asked If he needed anything or even allow a caretaker meal. When I stayed at Baylor McKinney to deliver our youngest daughter over a decade ago, they allowed my husband to have a meal or two per each 24 hours of my stay at the hospital. Since I was on a full liquid diet post op, I wasn't having much or anything and I don't think It would have cost a lot to allow the 1 family member staying to take care of me be more comfortable. I understand these are super minor issues, but I would say that would bring my review up to a 5. Overall, the hospital is very clean, bright, welcoming, all the doctors, nurses, and staff were very helpful, attentive and patient, and I would absolutely recommend your hospital to anyone.

This location is no longer open…read more Oh I am so excited to be writing this review. First, I appreciate the ability the fire hostile clients. I was not a hostile client. Was I fired because I hurt Sorin's ego, or was it because my sister wrote a bad review of HER experience? I have been a patient of NTINH for over a decade, and in the approximately 50-80 appointments, I was late by 5 minutes one time, and missed 1 appointment due to Apple's "wonderful" update that turns off the alarm sound if you move your phone. I paid the no-show fee without complaint as it was my fault. Second, I received a "certified mail/registered return receipt" that was absolutely not sent by either, I received it by plain, regular first class mail. Lying seems to be second nature to NTINH. I recently started Botox to treat my migraines. It has been, administratively, a nightmare. There was no pamphlet to explain what to expect or how it works. No one ever provided me with the paper aftercare instructions; I had to pick them up myself at the 6-week follow-up. Each time I scheduled an appointment, I was called before my appointment and told that I needed to move my appointment as Paige wasn't available on those days. Both times, the length of time between the call and my new appointment was too short for me to request an update to my time off, and I then had to involve my manager, making everything twice as complicated. Physically, my second Botox appointment was with Sorin (who was very condescending), and it was so much more painful than Ms Wolfe. The front desk staff, particularly in the Plano location, seem not to have evolved beyond high school mean girls. Elaine Timm is one of the meanest doctors I have ever dealt with. That sounds juvenile but holy God was she awful. Every time I went I dreaded going, and ended up with a stress migraine/headache. She withheld useful pain management information for over a year for some unknown reason. The only useful thing she did was suggest Ajovy/Aimovig, otherwise I stayed at status quo for the entire time I was with her. Frankly, the one star is because I have to and because Dr El-Hag was quite kind.
