I expected the prices to be expensive for the souvenirs here, but I was pleasantly surprised. We were able to purchase a few magnets and a baseball cap of Yellowstone for a grand total of $14. They offer a diverse selection of Yellowstone National Park souvenirs here. It is fun to browse. Make sure you check out their clearance section. My wife found her baseball cap here for $4.95 which was originally about $15. They also had some tasty coffee to sample while we were here. Drop on by the shop for your souvenir needs. There was no issue with the return, however, as we were leaving the store we noticed that they were putting the tag from the new hat onto the old one so they could turn around and sell it to someone else. That is a dishonest thing to do. Someone else will buy this hat, thinking it was new, when it had been worn before. Shame on you

Hamilton's Store, situated near Old Faithful and next door to the Old Faithful Inn, is full of…read moresouvenirs and memorabilia, has a soda fountain shop and is heaped with Yellowstone history! If you're wanting to take home a souvenir that is locally or regionally crafted you can find your treasure here. Locally created pottery, artwork, Native American jewelry, and leather goods are just some of the quality products sold at Hamilton's. Additionally, Pendleton clothing (ponchos, vest, jackets and shirts), outerwear, t-shirts, Stetson hats, baseball hats, scented candles, blankets, infant/children's clothing, postcards, and so much more. I did not eat in the adjacent restaurant, so I can't speak to its quality. The history behind this Rustic style store began in the late 1800's with H.E. Klamer, Klamer's Curios. Charles Ashworth Hamilton purchased the store, upon Klamer's death in 1915 for $20,000. Hamilton's Stores and Charles Hamilton's Yellowstone concession empire began. Historical highlights: *Hamilton had 12 stores in the Yellowstone National Park, and locals referred to this store as Lower Ham's. *The "knotty porch" was created with Knobby Burl. *Robert Reamer was the architect for The Old Faithful Inn and responsible for designing additions to Klamer's Curios. *On the second floor, Charles Hamilton wallpapered his office with cancelled checked totaling over $1,000,000, hence the nickname "Million Dollar Room". The total in dollar amount is actually closer to 2 million according to Yellowstone Insider. Also, this fact is supposedly in Ripley Believe It or Not. *The Million Dollar Room in Hamilton's Store is the only room in the store not changed through the years. The furniture, checks, and lighting fixture remain. Note the unique hanging lighting fixture in the posted photo. *Thanks to a grant, The Million Dollar Room is undergoing preservation.

Splashes of good things, but overall a 3 star location…read more I'll just start off with the best thing I experienced here - the huckleberry soda. I mean it's WY. If you haven't had a huckleberry thing yet, give it a go. It's unique, and something my group and I found delightful. Things go a bit south from here. The restaurant is either sit down for food (not ice cream) or to go. We were famished by the time we finished our exploration of the geysers, so we were ready to eat anything. The restaurant flags all the healthy/environmentally friendly options which turns out which doesn't leave a lot of options. For some reason, we all thought we'd try to "help the planet" by going for their more limited options, but man was I filled with regret. I got the black bean burger, and the patty would not hold. It kept falling to pieces while I was holding the patty up. I mean if it can't even hold it's shape, offer it up as a bowl. What's the point of serving it as a burger? My friends had better luck and their food was pretty good. I think the saving grace for all of us was the soda. The service was poor. For example, one friend asked for cheese on the side to dip her fries in. She was served cheese fries with the fries coated in fries. We ordered ice cream after our food. While we were still working on the remnants of our plates, the server just took the plates asking if we were ready to leave. Like cool. You just want us to leave. I get that it was a restaurant, but I was close to not wanting to leave a tip at all.
