Had a beautiful time here! I stated in the tent campgrounds, they were quiet, spacious, and had both a picnic table and a fire pit (which is a lot more than I'm used to)! A pond for fishing with rainbow trout, tons of places for little ones to play and quiet hours that are strictly enforced so everyone can get a good night's sleep. Management is super friendly and patient, and the gift shop has items made from local artists, alongside any amenities you may have forgotten to pack (I forgot my cutlery and they had a reusable compostable fork/spoon/knife kit that was perfect). On-site laundry, showers, and even an arcade. I would very highly recommend!

Tented there one night. Price was high at $41.00 but a beautiful area and nice nearby restaurant/shopping area. Very friendly and helpful staff. Mellow Bernese mountain dog for your petting and photographing pleasure in the lobby. Other campers were nearby but quiet. Finding it was a bit of a challenge without VERY specific directions. Glad to find it when we did. Nice warm showers.

This place was amazing. Awesome staff, great campground, so comfortable for an overnight tent camp even when it was so cold. Would highly recommend for coming here.

Great for families with kids! They have great little cabins (electricity but no plumbing) and campsites. The whole place is clean and well arranged. Here are the pros and some cons (or things to be aware of): The pool is wonderful. It's heated to over 80 degrees and is big enough for a lot of people to swim but not too big where you lose sight of your kids. The splash pad (kind of like a synchronized fountain for kids to play on) was WONDERFUL for our one year old son to play in without danger. Even the older kids liked it. The little store has souvenirs and camping essentials. They serve a great all you care to eat pancake and sausage breakfast (coffee and OJ to drink) for $5 pp. The showers were free, warm, and (mostly) clean. Obviously they can't clean them between each guest (and some people must've been pretty filthy). No big deal, just keep your flip flops on! We stayed in a cabin. They seemed pretty new and, while smallish, we're perfect for the 5 of us (2 middle school age and one 1 year old, my wife and I). One word of advice, bring a camping pad or egg crate mattress, the mattresses (like a thick pad) were thinking. And you have to bring your own bedding. We brought sleeping bags and pillows and were fine. They have a pond stocked with trout ($7 each catch, no catch and release) and will rent fishing equipment. It's a little expensive, but the kids LOVED it! They both caught 2 and were ecstatic. The owners/operators were friendly and helpful. It's a family business. They have a dish sink behind the office, an arcade with circa 1980s games and pinball machines. There is a small playground also. It's just off a relatively busy road but the view of the mountains were beautiful. It's close to Manitou Springs and Pikes Peak and a short drive to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Seven Falls, and several other attractions. I really liked this place and we had a great time!

Love this campground. I come here just to fish when I visit family in Colorado Springs. Great stocked trout pond that you will almost guaranteed catch fish. Gold spinners work really well. Smaller the better. Fish are $6 each( if staying on site) no catch and release. The site has lots of amenities like a dish washing station, heated pool and splash pad, playground, laundry room, fish cleaning station, wifi, arcade and hot showers. Owners are very friendly and make everyone feel very welcome and glad they are there. There is a $5 all you can eat breakfast of pancakes and sausage with orange juice available to purchase in the office. Tent camp sites are a little close to each other but are very nice clean sites. Highly recommend this location.

Nice, clean, friendly campground. Heated pool and small pond. Lots of "private" spots. There is even a small river running thru the campground to provide serene sleeping sounds. It is close to Hwy 24 but the noise level is not bad. Plus it's cheaper than staying in a state park.

Pj playtime after owner's pancake breakfast!

Super crowded. No privacy and hardly any shade. Overpriced. Pool was small and fishing was outrageously expensive.

We had our 4 grandchildren ages 8-18 with us and they really enjoyed catching trout, playing in the arcade and swimming.

WOW what a time. My…read morefriend and I signed up with this company to take us on a 2 day extreme class IV/V Overnight rafting trip on the Arkansas river. We both have experience with this company from rafting the Upper Salt River in AZ. Unfortunately the water levels didn't cooperate but, the rafting company modified the itinerary to give us the best possible adventure possible. Day upper upper Browns Canyon which led to class I've and the use of duckies. Operation am not a fan but, half of our group loved them. We were then driven 1.5 hours away for our dinner and tent camping (3 miles from our put in). Ryan and Eric our guides cooked a great meal and catered to the group. We awakened to a mist and heavy fog, which we were served pancakes and sausages for a warm breakfast, and let's not forget hot coffee. We then departed at 8:30 for our trip down the Royal Gorge were we hit class in rapids, lots of class 3s, great geology, good company, lots of fun and a great experience. Ryan our lead guide and Eric did a great job for 2 days of providing us a great experience and memories. You have many choices but from a personal experience this is the best company to deal with. We are already planning next year's multi day trip.

It was our first time (any of us) doing a raft trip, and he helped make us great. We cannot sing his praises enough. The trip we booked is typically supposed to be 2-2.5hr and it ours was extended to about 4hrs due to circumstances. Again, so upbeat throughout the entire trip.

Highly recommend this experience; it was fun, well-organized, and unforgettable thanks to such a great team!

Keep in mind that we were instructed to arrive 30 minutes early, so in total we were standing around for about an hour. They had also called us the day before and asked if we could move our tour time from noon to 1 PM. Looking back, agreeing to that change seems like it just resulted in us waiting even longer. On the zip lines, you have to brake yourself by grabbing the line with one of the gloves they provide. The gloves were old, worn-out welding gloves. I had to exchange mine three different times because they all had holes in them. Even my final pair still had a hole, but I was told it was fine. The zip lines themselves were okay. There was supposed to be a drop at the end, but apparently it wasn't open for the season yet, so instead we were slowly lowered down. As for the scenery, I honestly wasn't very impressed. The views felt fairly average to me and looked like a typical desert landscape. Considering the price, I expected something a lot more memorable. I've done a cheaper zip line course in Virginia that I found more fun, with better views and a better overall experience. The cherry on top was being accused of smoking marijuana because of a supposed smell and "glossy eyes." I have never smoked in my life, so that accusation was pretty frustrating and left a bad impression on what was already a disappointing experience. Overall, I felt this experience was a complete waste of money. Between the delays, worn-out equipment, missing attractions, and the accusation from staff, I honestly wish I had never booked it in the first place.
