She surprised us with excellent pancakes topped with fruit and baked sweet potatoes for a side dish which were OMG delicious! to drink was orange juice and tea. We came upon Lynwood park when a blizzard blew us into Bailey. With no where else to stay on a Christmas Eve, they took us in. They treated us like family and gave us warm refuge for the evening. Bill and Lyn were warm, friendly and accommodating. A great place to stay with friends and family or host a wedding. They accommodate larger parties but if it's just the two of you, The Retreat just might be available for booking.

Food is great and the operator, Ron, is hands on but gives you all the space you want. We stayed there for a long weekend while out for a wedding. I had not been in Woodland Park ever... closest I had been was CO Springs a few years prior. We researched locations in Woodland Park hard a few months before. Most of the alternatives seemed kind of cheap while we researched. The reality was true ... when we passed and saw most of the alternatives they were in fact misleading in their descriptions. The place recommended for guests at the wedding were clearly not going to work for me. Everyone was kicking themselves when they dropped in to visit us at PPP to check it out. Pikes Peak Paradise is hands down the best option around. I highly recommend.

For a first b&b experience, these folks set the standard high…read more Incredibly friendly hospitality (aside from the two cats who clearly could tell we are dog people), charming & spacious accommodations (sitting room, eat-in kitchenette, bathroom, bedroom with balcony complete with table & chairs), very quiet neighborhood... I could go on. A few highlights: Incredibly comfortable bed/bedding. Delicious breakfast of quiche & homemade muffins, fruit bowl with kiwi, apple, pear, watermelon, honey dew, banana, & blueberries topped with vanilla yogurt & a touch of granola, and wonderful coffee. A parking lot that is within view of most rooms. Quiet neighborhood close to both downtown CO Springs & Manitu Springs. A wine social to mingle with other guests upon check in. A collection of DVDs to borrow during your stay. Romance packages that include a dozen picture perfect roses, a bottle of champagne, breakfast en suite, and bubble bath. Owners that live in the next house over, should you need anything when staff has left for the evening. We'll return, no doubt. You should visit too.

There are a gazillion artistically adorable, well cared for features to this place and the rooms are beautifully furnished. A feast for the eyes, tummy & soul! This felt like the nourishment we needed at the end of such a wild adventure. So many antiques, luxurious amenities & the downstairs games are in excellent shape. Try and give yourself a few hours at least during your trip to enjoy them. I've never seen a game room decked out like that. Wish I had friends in the area to invite over. Most importantly, the people who own and take care of everything here are warm, bright & absolutely on hand for their visitors. We got lucky!
