As it is a Tesco it is more pricey than your average convenient store however the branding just makes it a safe bet to get what you are looking for and also more likely familiar with.

The brands sold here can be found only in the above mentioned countries and it was a nice surprise for me to find them all in one shop in London. Some items are awfully expensive such as Zaatr (£3,29 per 100g) and vegetables, especially the pointed green peppers, but this place is closer to me than the Dalston Turkish shops so I pay. And when I pay, I expect to shop in a clean store with friendly staff. Unfortunately this is not the case here. When you enter, you are met by two grumpy female cashiers who do not respond to your greetings and it's not because they don't speak English. Grumpy are the staff behind the bakery and the deli counters.There is always some clutter next to most aisles in the store and moving around is very difficult. The fridge where cheese and pastry sheets are is filthy, something is always leaking and even though I mentioned this to the cashier last time I shopped here, there's been no improvement. This time I mentioned it again and they just shrugged. The store is called Turkish Food Express but it's not operated by Turks because if it were, they would never allow their staff to behave in this way or the store to look neglected.
