After heading out to another place in Webster City that was open according to Google but actually wasn't and looking at the other options in town, I was so grateful Lomitas was open. It seems there aren't many options for food and drink on a Sunday evening in Webb City. Lomitas sits on 2nd Street near the corner of Seneca. Adding: This review has regrettably been sitting in my drafts since my visit on 10/05/2020. They had excellent food and service albeit slightly dirty. I had a great time and loved their vegetable fajitas. I'd return anytime I end up back in the area. I'm sure I had a lot more to say back then, but I was in Iowa after a tragic death of someone I love, so I wasn't as on top of reviews as I normally am. read more

Yummy food. Staff is kinda iffy on customer service. Last time I was there it was SO HOT and staff were verbally fighting.

Passing through Webster City looking for a place for dinner. We found this cute Mexican restaurant. Fantastic food, the best Molcajete (sp) my husband has had in a long time. My mom had The chili Colorado, She said it was great and had a little spice which was a complement for the meal. I had the Pork tamale and chicken enchilada, the pork tamale had a large amount of meat which was super yummy. We would absolutely visit again. As indicated in most of the reviews the series was just ok, didn't ask if we wanted more drinks or water. We were visiting Webster City and looked up places to eat on yelp. Read a few reviews and the only bad ones were about wait times or service. We did not experience either our service was quick and friendly greeting us at our table with chips and salsa to take our drink order. Food was excellent and our pitcher of margaritas were very good. We will definitely go back if we happen to be in town again. read more

We gave this a one star because after having to call our server over to get our order in, and then waited 1.25 hours for our food and multiple reaching out to our waitress questioning the wait she just looked at us and walked away. We left without ever getting our food so all I could say was the chips were good and the salsa excellent- we had high hopes for the food. The wait would have been more tolerable if the servers would have let us know the situation or even filled our glasses, chips or brought the water I asked for. It wasn't as if the place was crazy busy and we did see 3 servers so we have no idea why the terrible customer service. read more

We ordered a couple items off the vegetarian section on their menu. My wife had a taco salad which was disgusting it had very little lettuce almost like the amount you get as s garnish on most of the plates and the beans on the bottom were basically a soup it was very watery and slop like. The lettuce was very wilted and the sour cream and guacamole was very runny. I had a combination plate that should have been a tostada, bean burrito and a cheese enchilada what I got was a tostada and two cheese enchiladas without beans. I almost feel like we got penalized for ordering off that section of the menu. Vegetarians they obviously do not want your business, stay away. read more

Always really good food and good portions. The waitstaff is hit-or-miss on whether or not they're great, but they're never bad. I can also say with some certainty that my dad will be disappointed that there's no Lomita's in Cedar Falls. When he came for our college graduation, he specifically asked to come here for a meal. read more

I've been eating at Lomitas for over a year. Each time the main thing I get Is Chicken nachos because they started out so delicious but gradually have hit a major decline. I often get take out which is hit and miss now today I can't possibly order here again. Unless you like green peppers uncooked, crispy and the full size of a dill pickle, little to no queso (cheese) and no other onions or peppers cooked or not. Very few chips with clumps of chicken on top of everything, not hot or seasoned as usual. I have in the past asked for more queso on the side and recieved hardly any on the nachos and a measly cup to pour on as well. This was asked as extra not replacement queso. I have pictures of the degree I have been served over a year even asking for several improvements. Since this was just a minor meal, I suppose my requests were disregarded. No matter what order, it should be quality. The best food I have had at this establishment is the chips and salsa. I'm sorry to say, I will not be returning and it doesn't not seem high caliber enough to the owners to matter. I really enjoyed this restaurant until this point. I really wish I could post the pictures of today's chicken nachos, more 2/3 huge uncooked green peppers sliced the long way, very few chips, queso?..., and chicken I couldn't even eat lumped on top. Awesome food, great atmosphere, great wait staff, big portions, friendly, and we'll priced. Moved to webster city two months ago and have gone back many time and I'll keep going back. But if you like hot salsa, you have to ask for the really hot stuff. But mix with the regular one to because it is hot. And if you in the mood for a steak they have them. For 10-13 dollors you can get a good size one. Their best is their cheese rib eye steak. Their fajita platter is huge for one person it can feed two and it has awesome flavor. had the pleasure of eating at this establishment twice this week, once solo and the other time with friends. Both times fast service with a smile. Food was priced right for the portions you receive. Good menu selection and everything tried had great flavor. "Warning" they serve margaritas in the 12 oz., 27oz and 40 something oz variety and they go down really smooth. read more
