No mention of it being closing time, just lights off, time to go! On my way out, I asked him, "Do you have somewhere to be?" & that he "shouldn't turn the lights out with customers still inside." His response- "It's 9 o'clock." Which I responded, "Are you the owner?" & he responded "Yes." If this is the case, that the OWNER doesn't care about his customer's experience, I will for sure be taking my business elsewhere. I'm not sure where he was taught that his schedule getting out of work was more important than the paying customer's experience. As somebody who has worked in customer service my entire adult life (not to mention at this same gym 7 years ago), that's a foreign concept to me. As a manager or GM, if I found out my employees were putting themselves above the customers in this way, they'd be written up or let go. My advice? Do better. The BARE MINIMUM is you wait to close until everyone is gone. & if it gets to be 5-10mins after, you politely let the customers know you are closed & need to start closing. Customer Service 101, Day 1. If management, or (apparently) ownership encourages this type of customer service, it's no wonder places like Crunch Fitness & Victory Sports have taken what looks to be most of the business from East Coast.

I cannot speak to the current condition of all the others, but the State College Y is easily in the best material condition of any Y in my life. Everything seems to have been refurbished or replaced recently, no broken down anything, no roof leaks, no broken tiles or pavement. .is this really a Y? They just finished redoing the locker rooms, new everything as far as I can tell. The Therapy pool is a balmy 90F, which is great for a recent Miami transplant, and the lap pool is a not too shabby 80F. Pickleball seems to have taken over the basketball courts but that is the way of things now i guess. All the resistance and exercise equipment are there, maybe not the best but very functional...and helpful staff nearby. It's nice to what was old is now new.

Our chold has gotten very individualized instruction and progressed quickly in her belts. Master Chaar gives your kid every last second of class time and wears them out totally, a bonus for us! He always remembers names, encourages them to bring a friend, and keeps in communication about progress. Our uniform was free when we enrolled, and there are often promos going on. I would recommend him to anyone. I skimped on the last star only because the parent observation area is cramped and smells like feet, but not really his fault.

We've been to What-A-Blast twice in the past two years with our THON org, and our boys have had a…read moregreat time with their org friends, so I can't find much to complain about. Recently, we had 18 or so players, so Brad quickly kept us moving so we optimized our time before the next group showed up. There are only 12 or so vests, so we had to take turns, but that was fine. The facility is smaller than most other laser-tag arenas, but it has enough interesting terrain to make it interesting and entertaining, and perfect for 12 players. The waiting area is a bit sub-par, with a bunch of old sofas scattered about, but heck, this isn't a cigar bar, and you are not there to sit and socialize. For a college town, it's what it is, and it's laser tag, so it's fun and gives rise to lots of bragging rights after it's all over! Price of admission is around $10 per adult for the hour. I thoroughly read all the info on the website and even spoke with the owner, prior to booking so that I knew what to expect. I booked the 6 day, 5 night Heartland Week-Long Retreat and I selected the following activities: equine therapy sessions, riding lessons, an all about horses clinic and a trail ride. Even with all these activities, I had plenty of time to venture out on my own and explore near by attractions. I stayed in the Whispering Winds Guest room which included my own private bathroom and views of the horses & the barn. Both Cynthia, the owner, and Andrew, the ranch hand, were very kind, knowledgeable and helpful throughout my stay. It is very evident that they both have a great passion for ALL the horses on the ranch. The scenery and the atmosphere with the horses is absolutely breathtaking. Keep in mind, this is a ranch stay, so if you're expecting 5 star hotel accommodations, then go stay at a hotel but if you're looking for peace from the busy city life and the beauty of nature, then this will fit those needs. There's a lot of work that goes into maintaining a ranch and for the caring of horses, so I appreciate everything both Cynthia & Andrew do here @ Wildfire Ranch.
