Lola's food truck comes to my work sometimes and I have had their burritos before and they are okay but they are way too small for the price. Today when I order I payed $11 for a burrito that was 90% tortilla and very little filling. Would not say this place is worth the money for the amount and quality.

Birria tacos were exceptional!!! Limited menu from the food truck but the new brick and mortar location in Fredrick looks exciting

When looking at the menu, the prices were outrageous, but thought the food must be really good! The restaurant doors were locked when we arrived around 11:30, even though their website said they opened at 10:00. I like to support local restaurants but this one was horribly disappointing! We were the only customers in the restaurant and service was extremely slow. There was only one employee we saw, the one who unlocked the door for us and turned out to be our waitress. She was polite, but very slow in getting our drink order, food order, and ticket. I could have understood understaffing, but as mentioned, we were the only customers in the place. When our food came, I was almost embarrassed for our waitress. The food hardly filled our plates. I ordered a chicken dish where the chicken breast had been split in half. It was tough and hard to cut and and chew. It was maybe the size of a small burger, very small and about 1/4 of an inch thick! According to the menu description, it was supposed to be marinated. It tasted like the "marinade" was ketchup mixed with a little Tabasco. Other plates were very skimpy on food. Burritos and enchiladas were small and almost almost laid flat on the plates. I guess I could deal with it better if the cost was about ¼ of the price we paid. No drinks for 4 totaled, with tip, around $80.00!! Will never go to this place again! I typically don't do reviews but this experience was completely "over the top" bad in all areas. We all left feeling cheated, and hungry! Don't waste your money here!

The establishment is clean and spacious, creating a welcoming environment. The chosen decor adds to the restaurant's ambiance. Additionally, the installed tables and chairs are both sturdy and well-crafted, providing comfort and no movement while eating. Upon being seated, the staff promptly served chips, water, and what we suspected of being hand-made salsa with fresh ingredients including cilantro. We ordered both an alcoholic and a non-alcoholic beverage, and both were delivered quickly. The alcoholic drink, a handcrafted Pure Gold Margarita, stood out for its exceptional quality and balanced mix, which I found impressive as a former mixologist. For our meal, we selected the #23 dinner and Chipotle Enchiladas along with a side tostada. Each dish had fresh flavor and satisfying texture, and the lunch portions were generously oversized, which I appreciated. In comparison to other establishments that have raised prices while lowering quality, this restaurant offers food that is well worth the cost in today's market. The overall food quality here surpasses that of other places we frequent, and we plan to return. What truly sets this restaurant apart is the presence and involvement of the owner and managers, making the overall experience even more memorable. Shortly after placing our order, the owner personally visited our table. He demonstrated genuine interest in our experience, taking the time to guide us on a walking tour of the restaurant. During the tour, he shared his personal story, discussed future plans for the establishment, and ensured that every aspect of our visit was enjoyable. After our meal, we were also greeted by the current manager on duty, who only works on certain days. He spent a few moments with us, contributing to the welcoming and attentive atmosphere. Out of courtesy, I will not mention their names. If this level of dedication and hospitality continues, Maria Bonita is poised to restore the kind of customer service and food quality that has become rare in recent years, often overshadowed by the pursuit of profit.

I know I am a white guy, but that is a lot of sour cream! Flavors were ok...nothing special. The restaurant was pretty empty on this Tuesday night 4/28/26.
