We have had two sites created and/or adjusted by LOJO. They are quick, available and most importantly really good at what they do. If you can paint a mental picture, they can produce it. Eric has taken calls from me after hours and even while on vacation and has always been able to get us back up again even when we, the client, had messed up our own website. In January of 2013 I met with Eric to discuss building a new website for me. I had done a fair amount of research and spent a fair amount of time going over what I wanted. Eric sounded like he knew what he was talking about and had the organization to get done what I wanted. We agreed to move forward on a $10,000 project. I was then handed off to a project manager and started from zero all over again. She actually was doing an ok job, but then 2 weeks into the project I was handed off to another project. We would have a meeting and go over what I wanted done, with the meeting always ending with "we will be ready to go live in the next 2 weeks". This person was very incompetent and at each of our next meeting very little of the things that I asked to be taken care of would be completed. I ended up spending about an hour looking over the graphic designers shoulder and directing how I wanted things done. By June my frustrations had reached a head and I sent several emails to Eric hoping to move things along. By now I was being charged for a separate SEO contract, in which content was to be reviewed and that links and redirects would be taken care of. After being turned over to yet another project manager that actually did a pretty good job of communicating the design was finished to my satisfaction. The site finally went live near the end of the summer, and I had several other people that I knew take a look at it. As they looked into the back end, none of the redirects and links had been taken care of before the site went live and had we stayed with this site we would have lost all of our Google rank from the last site. Eric's response to this is that it would be taken care of a little bit at a time by the SEO contract of $600 a month. I then had 3 days of no returned calls and a complete I don't care attitude from his people as I tried to go back to my original site. LOJO got about $12,000 of my money and I got a worthless website. I have just finished a new site and it was done in less than 45 days and everything went smooth unlike my experience with LOJO. read more

Three years and no website! At the end of December 2010, I gave Lojo Group, LLC a $2,150 deposit towards my $4,300 business website. I desperately needed to market my business to increase my income. At our initial meeting, Eric Lay was extremely enthusiastic and seemed to understand exactly what I was requesting and needed. After a couple of weeks, I spoke with a project manager to start the design. I was excited. I hadn't heard anything for 7 months, so I contacted them. My project manager had changed. A month later, my project manager changed again. Two months later, my project manager changed once again. Each previous project manager had left the company. It was practically a "start over" every time. There were a couple of months of decent communication in May and June of 2012.. Not too many questions though, so I thought they were developing along waiting on me to make my final payment. Then it just stopped, so in October 2012 I requested a status. They did give me a link to a development site. It had some errors in functionality and severe grammatical errors in messages/confirmation emails to be sent to my clients. I made an appointment for a walkthrough with Eric. Well, he did "walk through" the website pages and he pointed out how they appeared to be what I requested. When I left, he told me that the receptionist/bookkeeper would now be my project manager. Really? I thought about our shallow meeting. I needed to know how it functioned in the back-end. Was it doing what I needed and requested as outlined in the project scope? I needed my clients to have the ability to login, enter data, review/change, submit for processing, and review or cancel after submission. So, on New Year's Eve of 2012, I decided to perform a thorough walkthrough of my own as the Admin and as a client. In four hours, I documented anything and everything. Some things were wrong, not according to my requirements, and some were simply missing. I categorized/organized the changes by webpage to make the changes more efficient. In essence, I was doing their job for them. A month later, I received an email from the receptionist stating that she would have to get me an estimate for the "additional" changes. What!? I was done. I was working 4 part-time jobs to make ends meet while waiting to market with this new website. After several demand emails and a certified letter, I decided to file in small claims to get a refund and take my business elsewhere. The evening before our, September 2013, court date I received a CD and cancellation form via UPS from Lojo Group. With the delivery of the CD, Eric Lay and his wife were able to convince the, admittedly non-technical, pro-tem judge that they fulfilled the contract. Over three years of runaround with no website and I lost the case. Now I'm stuck with an unusable website I can't afford to fix or replace. read more

Contracted with Lojo to rewrite our successful existing website from another vendor who closed shop. We were assured that Lojo was capable and up to the task. Nothing could be further from the truth!! Our experience was much like reviewer Derek H. Several personnel changes, delays and unkept promises. The "upon two weeks" claims came and passed.Of interest, to potential clients --- much of the work on the site was sent offshore to India(?). Text on the front end was wrongly interpreted and written in non-standard English. It was a constant problem and took time to correct what offshore programmers had coded. There were several generations of versions 'floating' around. Errors corrected in older versions mysteriously reappeared in newer versions. Of course, because of time differences, answers were never timely given. Often, it resulted in revisiting errors which were corrected, in some cases, several times before. The net result was our small online business fell off the cliff. We were not searchable by the major search websites. Guidance and recommendations were not given. We were not advised what was left off the back end -- namely search terms. The site was not optimized in the most minimal way. We are no longer a client of Lojo's services and hired a new developer. After hearing our plight, the new web developer looked at the Lojo website and said "This is heartbreaking!". He showed us a comparison between the website code from our first website (where we had a nice online business) and the Lojo site code which generated no sales. Search terms written in the first site were missing on the Lojo site. Thank goodness I have emails to backup my claims of Lojo's lack of service. read more
