This review is solely for the service. The clothes and value are always 5 stars in my book.
We are moving to the area from Austin in a few short months, and I was excited to see my favorite store so close to our future neighborhood. When I walked in I was in awe over the size of this location, as it is more than twice the size of the one I currently frequent. I was in such awe that I even called my mom as I was browsing to tell her how excited I was--we are both huge fans of the brand. To preface the rant that is about to begin, the call to my mom was 30 seconds.
My excitement quickly faded as I spent more time in the store and no one acknowledged me. No one. I found the dressing rooms on my own, and tried on a few shirts. One of the shirts was a plain, pocket front, vintage tee. I loved the fit, and wanted the shirt in a few basic colors, so I walked out of the dressing room on a mission to find a few more colors. I headed straight to the table where I found the aqua one, and there stood an associate with a portable folding table. I asked her if they had the tee in any other colors and her response was, "If we do, they're on the tables." If you've visited this location, you know there are A LOT of tables. So, I started my search--on my own. No offer to help, no stopping what she was doing to help, nothing. She made me feel like I was a complete bother, and not worth her time to stop folding for one second. At that very moment, I yearned for my tiny location in Austin, where the associates always go above and beyond, frequently making suggestions for substitutes when I can't find the exact thing I'm looking for.
I'm hoping the team was just having a bad day, and the service will improve the next time I visit. If not, I'll have to find a location that feels more like home. read more
