I came to Exchange Factor three times this week and it was worth it. I ended up with two dope suit jackets. The service is top notch. Everyone is really kind and chill. Joan, the owner, is amazing. I spoke with Joan a couple of times and she took the time to describe what items she likes to buy from people. The atmosphere is fun with tons of good music playing. Saturday was real fun with lots of folks shopping, but even with several folks shopping people are chill. This isn't Goodwill and you aren't going to find boring pieces here. You'll pay a bit more but it's value buys that will lead to good looks. Charleston is very lucky to have Joan and Exchange Factor.

My friend found a fun shirt as well so then we went outside and were able to choose 6 items for free amongst the two of us. Honestly, the stuff outside is more picked over, but it's not junk. We picked up some really cool finds that made our haul that much better. I wish I had more time, but I got a punch card filled up so now I can come back and get a discount on my next purchase.

Lots of other supplies here too. Build your own board. Clothing. Shoes. Etc. Easy access from the parking lot, which was nice becuase it was raining hard.

I'm updating my review for Palmetto Moon because this location recently moved from Citadel Mall to…read moreTanger Outlets. If you're looking for Clemson or South Carolina merchandise, or Charleston themed gifts to take home, Palmetto Moon is the place to go. They also stock merchandise for The Citadel and College of Charleston, so if you're into those schools or teams, you can buy it here without having to go downtown or onto the campus of those universities. The prices are less expensive than gift shops downtown, with the convenience of parking and being near so many other stores at Tanger. If you're a tourist, Tanger is probably on your way out of town and therefore, the perfect place to shop before leaving Charleston so you won't have to lug those bags around downtown. I understand why Palmetto Moon moved to Tanger, and they will get much more foot traffic here, but the store seems to have less space in between the aisles and tables. Also, this Palmetto Moon stocks more clothes and t-shirts, but fewer accesories, gifts, and shoes than other locations. I'm not sure if this is a permanent change or temporary for this location or time of year, but I'd love to see more tailgating gear, hats, and home products again.

The last time I visited, everything was 50% off, which was a great sale before the Christmas holidays. Francesca's carries everything from hair accessories to shoes, as well as lots of offbeat gifts perfect for white elephant exchanges or friends' birthdays. I don't really shop the clothing items, but I've found a few cute hair accessories and jewelry to complete outfits here. Everything seems well constructed and not "fast fashion" like some accessory stores. A lot of stores in Charleston cater to the Charleston chic/girly look, but Francesca's has clothes and accessories that work for all occasions, individual styles, and ages- from high school girls up to moms.
