His office is nicely appointed with "art" that probably came from the sale in 1984 when they remodeled the old Holiday Inn... not as nice as you'd expect but it amuses the locals and they think its fancy.. His staff are of course made up of a bunch of locals who have possibly learned how to type, can alphabetize medical charts, have a good phone voice, and can hand out stickers and lollipops to children - other then that probably not many real clerical skills to mention. I'm sure one can make a pot of coffee. Maybe. His nurses well they are about the same as the office staff except they get to wear scrubs, of course the nurse knows how to "work" the stethoscope and take blood pressure, and thats where she comes in handy. Dr Gore is one of the many local Dr's who are known for over prescribing certain medications, to certain locals, and hoping a certain group (DEA) never catches on to his games, he's also well known for catering to the hypochondriac population of the small town, validating them as "really being ill" and also over prescribing medication for them too. I guess in retrospect his office is more of a fancy dope house, then a real doctors office, but as long as you have to make an appointment, and he has magazines and they holler out your name, we'll still call it "going to the doctor" Still with all the flaws I love Dr. Gore because I know if I'm ever in a pinch for mind altering, mood altering, weight altering drugs of any flavor, even though I've NOT seen him in 5 years and I live 3 states away, I could call him and he will call me in a prescription TODAY! Now thats what I call professional service. Thank you Dr. Gore for keeping my friends, and loved one comfortably numb!!

When…read moreasked questions why things are not posted from lab results you get no answer, the few times you do get an answer it is somebody else's fault. While it is a new business, the office manager apparently has no experience in dealing with people. The doctor is very knowledgeable, the staff seems so also and very people oriented. It is a new business, but it would probably fair much better with an experienced office manager.

I found out I was pregnant the day before we moved to Mineral Wells and we were scared out of our minds! I called and spoke with the couple of drs here in town and decided to go with dr h. He wanted to watch me closely knowing my history as well as Lori, they were both concerned. A couple weeks into the pregnancy I started bleeding. They immediatly knew what it was and he did a next day surgery to put in a cerclage. I had my beautiful baby boy a few months later!!! Thanks to Dr hoefelmann and his staff for being so great!! If not for them, i would not have my baby boy today!!! And i just found out I am expecting again!!! Dr H, here we come!!! :)

I have worked in hospitals for 45 years and I must say that I have never been treated as well as I was at PPGH before, during, and after my procedure. Every employee I had contact with had such a great attitude! It seemed like everyone went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and well cared for. I think Mineral Wells and Palo Pinto County have a real jewel in their local hospital and should be very proud. I'm more than happy to have all my medical care done here instead of driving anywhere else.

We had very good experiences with Doctor Gray, Doctor Covington and many nurses including Julie. The social worker was also kind and helpful. I wish I could remember the names of every person that was involved in the almost 24 hours she was there but so much of it was a blur. If such a terrible thing had to happen I feel like we were lucky to be in Mineral Wells at the time.

Dr. Bhandari is a wonderful Pediatrician, and took care of my kids from newborn on up. He's…read morewonderful anytime you call he gets back to you quickly day or night. His office is clean, and his staff are all wonderful. The language barrier (very thick accent) can be an issue, but if you dont understand him, he will repeat what he's saying, or his Nurse will translate!
