I'm glad to see something actually open on 4th street on this block during covid and after the protests. My group and I had a pretty good time here! We ended up getting out of the warehouse room literally 5 seconds before we ran out of time! Haha It was definitely harder to get out of then we were expecting. There were multiple clues. Some sorta complex. As my group was helping each other, I went on to look for other clues by myself. Found some! Pretty cool. You can't bring any cameras or bags etc into the rooms when you go, so expect that. They have a lockbox to put your stuff in right as you get out. There is an option to get out before the time ends if you'd like too. ( great for anxiety or claustrophobia ) I could imagine. We went down here at night, so there was plenty of parking around 930. This is definitely a cool thing to do if you and your family are bored! Rainy days etc. It's not " cheap " but it's doable for a group of 4-8 easily. We had 5 people and it was like 130 bucks. Not terrible for an hour. We also didn't clean up our crazy mess we made haha! Check it out y'all. read more

Such a fun time! A friend had rain checks she needed to use so 7 of us got together and went. We ended up doing the warehouse game. It was amazing how your mind can just shut off all the outside stuff for 60 minutes and just focus on the next puzzle. We ended up escaping with about 5 minutes left. I had so much fun and would definitely go back! read more

We took the grandkids it was their first experience. We all had a great time even though we did not solve the mystery.

Permanently closed, web site is still up, doors locked don't waste your time, no schedule available, zero response by email.

I really enjoyed my first escape room experience. I booked for our group of 4 a couple months in advance online. They were very fast at responding to email but don't seem to take phone calls unless it's for group sales. But the website is easy to navigate. When you enter the building it is stark- no reception desk or anything. Just lots of black and red. We opted to do the Warehouse simply because it was the first option available- right at 6pm when they open. It was a really cool experience, challenging but there were enough clues along the way- 3 or so that kept us moving forward. Our group was 8 total including another group of 4. We completed the room with about 15 minutes to spare. I love puzzles and true crime so this was in my interest set. You really have to be into it to enjoy it. I won't be in Louisville again soon but I enjoyed this enough to seek out a similar experience at home. read more

Locked In - Escape Games Near Me - Louisville, Kentucky

I needed to reschedule, but they don't have customer service. Not by phone and they say to email, but never reply, so I was scammed out of $$$. read more

We did the classroom. Strongly recommend avoiding this room. Room was very bare. Didn't feel like it had a lot of progression. What you walked into was what you got. I can't speak to quality of the other rooms, there's always a chance that they have some decent ones. However, I'd exhaust some of the other spots in Louisville before running the risk of a doing similar room at this location. Trust me, there are much better escape rooms here in town. read more

WORST ESCAPE ROOM EVER!!! I have done over 25 escape rooms in the last 5 years and this is BY FAR the worst place ive ever been. The clues dont lead one to another instead they throw almost everything at you at once and expect you to just fill these HUGE gaps of information. My family and I have passed all but 1 escape room in all we have done and this will be our second because if the poor design and employees there. They waste your time and money DO NOT GO HERE!! read more

The escape room was good but the customer service was horrible. Mistakenly overbooked online and tried numerous times within 5 min of the booking to cancel without a response to phone, in person or email. read more

Was told I'd receive a refund for a game that was double booked..a mistake on their website.. I never received my money back. They'll tell you to email but never respond, can't call them either. read more

Neat place went there a few weeks ago with me my aunt and her friends the rooms were really nice and the themes are always unique and the staff were really nice read more

Zero response after numerous attempt to schedule a large teaming event. So disappointed. Nobody answers calls or emails and there isn't a customer service person even if the recording says to hold and speak to someone. read more

My kids said they had a great time. It was very difficult but if you are going to an escape room, you should want to be challenged! It was well planned and wonderfully executed. Thanks to the folks who planned it. Our kids almost made it out of the 'schoolhouse'. read more

We have done Breakout before and this facility is newer and nicer. Nice clean restrooms and building. We did the museum session. The room was set up like a museum and felt real. We met one staff member during our session and he was very helpful and friendly. Is it ok for kids? Yes! My kids are 9 and 11 so we chose "easy" in the museum session. They loved it!! I also like that we only had 6 in our group and didn't get stuck with strangers which is what has happened several times to us at Breakout. We liked it so much we have booked our second session this month to try a new room! read more

Bravo to the person who created locked in. I spent an hour locked-in with 6 of my co-workers for a team building event and this was a lot of fun, granted- we died because of acid falling from the ceiling (not literally of course) but hey- we learned who was good at leading, de-coding and following clues. I would love to do this again with a group of friends and see if we can get out of a deadly situation. read more

Our team has done a little over 150 rooms all over the US. This room was really disappointing. We played classroom. I don't mind if rooms are easy or hard, it's more the design of the room and the puzzle play. This room was littered with red herrings. Puzzles didn't make sense, it's like they designed it, then said "this is too easy" let's just throw a bunch of red herrings in to make it more complicated so it can be hard. This is not creative puzzle play, it becomes frustrating for the players and if you win or lose, it's just not fun. It's not immersive what so ever either. We've done low budget rooms, and high tech rooms before that are fun, and creative, rooms don't have to have a lot of tech to be great. It's also fine if the room isn't linear, but to have more red herrings than puzzles in the room is just ridiculous. We didn't play any of the other rooms, so hopefully those are worth playing, but based on the classroom, we wouldn't go back. read more

Locked In - Glad to be back! - Escape Games Near Me - Louisville, Kentucky

I took my family to Locked In and we had such a great time! We can't wait to go back. Of the several of these escape rooms we have done this has been our favorite, this one really makes you think, you can't just rush through hammering away at it. The puzzles were clever and the subtle story and humor really made it entertaining. Great location too, very clean and well put together. The staff was so friendly. We did The Laboratory and within minutes it unfolded into a series of puzzles and challenges that kept us busy and entertained for the entire hour. We didn't escape, but it's all about the journey and not the destination. Great fun! read more

I love love love Escape rooms. I like to think I am really good at scavenger hunts, but in reality I am just the average amount of good at them. But that is what these rooms are, so whatever. Love them. Purchasing tickets/reserving your spots on line was super easy, and you can sign a waiver before getting there. We had done all this in preparation so when we showed up, we just had to wait for the gentleman working to get the first group in their room, and make sure our room was set up. We did the museum room, it was fun and we escaped with a few minutes left. I have been to better ones, but this one was still really fun. The only draw back of the place was security based to me. You cant take phones/cameras into the rooms. Totally fine with that. What they have for you is a bin outside the door of your room, in the hallway, that you can put your phones/purses/bags/coats in. They are then left in that bin just out in the hallway, clearly visible through the wall of the front windows, and when we were there, only one person was working, so if they were in a room going over stuff with someone, your stuff is just sitting there and someone could walk in the front door and grab anything. That security reason is what made this place a 3 star instead of a 4 star for me. read more

I made an attempt at the "classroom" today with a group of friends. Most of us came into the experience not knowing what to expect, except for knowing that we had to get out of the locked room by completing a series of puzzles. It turned out to be very challenging but super fun group activity! Really requires everyone to work together and think inside AND outside the box. We were so close to finishing within the hr time limit, but I want to go back and try the other options that aren't quite as difficult. I recommend this to any and all types of groups- work, friends or family! read more

Overall, we had a good experience. If you have never done a lock-in room before then you will have a great time and love it! It is very clean and everyone was very nice-the appointments were prompt and they had a 10% off coupon on their site which was nice. However, we have done a great deal of breakout rooms in the past and this location was my least favorite. As someone who knows breakout rooms well-there were less puzzles, less decorative objects in the room, and less things to work on than other ones we have done. We all had to stick together as a group because there were not multiple things to work on and I was disappointed by how average the room looked. There were few decorations and things to explore. I also did not like the clue system-you had to call on a phone to get a clue and when we called the person on the line had no idea what we had done or where we were so we had to "catch up" the employee so we could have a clue. Every other one we have done they watched you on a screen and were ready with a clue when you needed one. We also accidentally called an outside line at one point on the phone in the room instead of calling a line that was a part in the game which was bizarre. Overall, it was fine but I will choose other breakout locations in the future. read more

This place was fantastic! Went twice in one week because we had such a great time. We were visiting the area for a conference and the company was wonderful and worked with or schedules to book experiences as special events before their normal hours. Completed the warehouse and classroom experiences-both were a blast. Highly recommend if you live in or visit the Louisville area! read more

Went here for a couples night out and enjoyed our experience in The Warehouse! We had done the Museum on a previous visit and wanted more of a challenge. We had a great time and the experience didn't disappoint! We ended up enjoying The Warehouse more and it quickly became our favorite. The staff were very helpful and gave hints promptly when we requested help. This experience would be a great time for the entire family! read more
