The next dress has spaghetti straps that were too low for me so she pinned them in place but the dress didn't fit properly when it was altered. The black lace and velvet skirt I brought have an elastic waist that was too loose and you could see through the skirt so I wanted it lined. She pinned the skirt and I could barely get it over my head so I reminded her that there wasn't a button or a zipper in the skirt. It just needed new elastic. By that time, it was busy in the shop and I could tell she wasn't paying attention to me. The finished product was sewn where she pinned it instead of replacing the elastic and it was lined to mid thigh. Since I'm an old lady instead of a teenager, the mid thigh length was not appropriate. I brought in two pair of pajamas, from Victoria's Secret where is she only measured one sleeve and one pant leg. The altered pajamas had one sleeve longer than the other, and the same with the pant legs. She should've measured both legs and both sleeves. I also brought in a pair of pants from Lands' End, which I didn't even bother to try on afterwards as by that time, I was too disgusted by her alterations. Since nobody is going to see the pajamas, I didn't even bother returning them for alteration repairs. But I did take in the black skirt as I couldn't get it over my head. The skirt was a size medium, and the lining she put in was a size petite. I could've worn a size small, but it would've been tight. The skirt was a full skirt, but the lining they put in was a straight slip. The bill was $198.00. I returned only the skirt to be re-altered. Even though the mistakes were totally theirs, she charged me $20 to correct her own mistakes. I told her about the two pair of pajamas with the two different sizes on the legs and arms and the dress with the too high spaghetti straps. I will never go back there and I'm posting this to share my experiences so no one else has to go through this alteration nightmare.

We stopped in Thursday afternoon and owner Kyle helped me. Once he found a bike in my price range and that fit me (I'm 5' tall), he spent more than an hour making adjustments and showing me all I needed to know (everything from the shifting to the brakes is different from my old bike). I then brought my old bike in two days later so the back rack and other things I wanted to keep could be moved to my new one. Everyone I dealt with was pleasant, knowledgeable and patient. Shout out to Roz, who convinced me to buy a pair of Tifosi transition reader glasses (too bad I didn't know about these before buying prescription sunglasses last summer)! Took my bike out this morning for a 20-mile break-in ride and love it! If I could give more than five stars to Kyle's, I would!

There were four peaks with holes in them where bats were accessing our house. So they came, installed the cone doors, slopped a bunch of caulk all over our brick house and some foam rolls, and punched holes in our BRAND NEW trim without asking our permission. I was appalled we paid so much money for something we could've done at cost of supplies, which apparently all we needed were the doors, caulk, and foam rolls. The job was not complete (the cone doors needed removed in a couple months), but they sent us a bill regardless and expected payment after the cone door installation. I once again questioned that it would look nice when they were done and they reassured me it would. Fast forward to FOUR MONTHS later, and I've called twice to see when they're coming to finish the job. They finally come while we were gone at work. We come home to find the foam rolls still attached, a messy caulk job, and the holes in our trim not filled in. Stupid me thought they were going to use actual materials to fill in the gaps between the bricks like, I don't know, mortar?! The peaks of our house look terrible and sloppy. And now we are going to have to pay more money for a mason to come, dig all the foam and caulk out, and repair it the way it should've been done. We were rooked. Don't be like us.
