I need to hitch to be able to move a piece of equipment on 10/4. Today U-Haul in rock island called me and told me they "didn't want to install" the hitch, yes they actually said "didn't want to". I asked which stores i should go to and they told me Davenport or Bettendorf. I specially asked the man i talked to if he would just transfer my booking to another location so they could install it. He refused to. He said that was my responsibility. I told him to not cancel my reservation so i could pick up the parts and have them Installed at another location. He cancelled it. I asked how this is my responsibility to make a new reservation and he said "that's just how it is" He hung up. I contacted the Davenport location and they advised me they've heard complaints about this location. Ordered the part (express shipping on their dime) and made arrangements for a different store for me to have the hitch installed! Customer service, what a novel idea! Shame on you rock island U-Haul. I can't even leave feedback at U-Haul or comments as the reservation was cancelled.

We had a truck rented through Uhaul for our move. They called us the day before and stated our…read moretruck was no longer available at our time reserved... We decided to try Penske instead. We were able to reserve a 16 foot truck, but then a couple hours later were informed it wasnt available and only a 12 ft truck was going to be available. This was going to be too small but we were out of options. We arrived to pick up our truck and were offered a 26 foot truck for the same price as the smaller truck. He also discounted the mileage fees to compensate for the larger truck. The service couldnt have been better from the employees here. I would highly recommend renting from this company and location.
