Having managed several successful small businesses myself, never before have I experience more…read moreunprofessionalism in my 20+ years of experience. First, their response time for getting back to you with a quote is horrible. And when I finally received a quote, it was not in writing. Second, when the day came for them to move me, they showed up late with a truck that was falling apart. Parts of it were rusting, one of the rear tires on the double axle was flat and hanging on the rim, the gas tank had a piece of plastic stuffed in it to function as a gas cap, and the truck failed to start when they tried to back it up to the storage unit. When the employees called the owner, he cussed a blue streak on the phone and hung up angrily. When he called his employees back again, his attitude was less than professional. The movers themselves were talking about how the truck was unreliable as well. They informed me that the owner would be there in 20 min and I told them to call me when he got there. The next call I received was not from the owner but from the moving crew that had been talking about how unreliable the truck was. I asked them if the owner brought another moving truck or trailer, and they informed me that they had managed to start the truck and were ready to move me. I told them I wasn't comfortable with them using that truck, to which they replied, "F^&K you then." The owner failed to call me at any time to inform me of what was going on or how he planned to complete the move. As a result of their poor customer service, I have now incurred additional storage fees. As a result, I cannot in good conscience recommend this business.

I asked why and Steven said that they had little overhead and were a local family company. I did some research on yelp and google and found every review at 5 STARS!! They are definitely NOT 5 STARS! We tried to support local while saving a few bucks. Don't do it. The movers showed up in a U-Haul, not professional looking at all, just 4 guys one of whom was the owner Steven Eisenach. They took a crazy amount of breaks. Every few minutes was a smoke break. I had to ask them not to smoke in the truck while loading our furniture. Plus they threw their cigarette butts all over the yards and drive ways. In all it took over 10 hours for a 3 bedroom home to go 10 minutes away. After the move we noticed many dings and gouges in the furniture and other items. During the move I noticed a gouge in our downstairs oak door and pointed it out to a mover. I got a shoulder shrug and a "wow! thats bad." After the move we had to repair and paint many scratches in the walls at the old and new home. The worst came as we unpacked. I left my garage tools to unpack last in order to get the house up and running. When I finally got a chance to unpack the garage I noticed many tools missing. I ended up losing many hand tools and some power tools. I have a 4'x8' peg board normally loaded with tools. Now it barely has anything at all. I am finding more tools missing every day. I did reach out to the movers via email and voicemail and have had no response. My wife did some more digging on the company and found a few things. She found that Steven reviewed his own company. And with as many 5 star reviews we believe that most are friends or family. She also found 1 Google review saying pretty much what we say above. They had a couple of tv's go missing. Makes for an interesting read. https://www.google.com/maps/contrib/112013538562282514718/reviews/@42.329958,-89.0485609,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m3!8m2!3m1!1e1?hl=en-US And finally, my wife found a news article on Steven Eisenach. It claims that he was arrested for stealing over $17K in jewelry while working for another moving company. The team confirmed all the details ahead of time, including my request to move over 10 pieces of artwork. They estimated a 5-hour move with three men, and on the day of the move, they arrived promptly at 8 AM, worked efficiently, and completed the move-out by 1 PM. The move-in process at my new home started at 1 PM and wrapped up around 3 PM. Throughout the day, the team was respectful, careful with my belongings, and truly seemed to go the extra mile. I was so appreciative of their hard work that when the team lead, Sergio, requested a cash tip, I went to the ATM and withdrew $500 -- $200 of which I gave directly to the crew as they finished up. Unfortunately, this is where my experience took a sharp turn. I placed the remaining $300 in my purse, consisting of one $100 bill and $200 in $20 bills. After noticing the sky open up around 2:30 PM with heavy rain, I felt even more sympathetic to their efforts and decided to give them an additional $100. When I went to retrieve the money, I was shocked to find my purse had been disturbed and only $100 (in 20's) remained. To make matters worse, when I returned to my old apartment to finish cleaning, I found a pile of belongings left behind. Despite paying for a full-service move, it seems the crew simply decided some of my things weren't worth taking. The lack of communication and care was beyond frustrating. And if all of that wasn't enough, after providing my email address multiple times, I still have not received an itemized receipt, invoice, or a clear breakdown of charges. The final bill came to $2,145 -- almost twice the original estimate -- leaving me furious. After deducting the $100 deposit, I owed $2,045. I understand that moving is tough and unexpected factors can arise, but the dramatic increase in cost combined with the apparent theft, lack of accountability, and poor service left a lasting impression. I cannot in good conscience recommend All My Sons dba "New City Moving." While the physical labor of the move was well done, the lack of integrity and professionalism by at least one member of the crew completely ruined the experience. If you decide to use this company, I strongly advise keeping your valuables secured, double-checking that all your belongings are loaded, documenting all interactions, and following up on the communication regarding your charges.

But I will definitely edit my review if I feel differently. Hence the 4 stars for right now :) But from a purely customer service stand point and what I saw over the course of my almost 4-hour move (due to how much stuff I personally owned). I am forever grateful for Omar, Dwane, and Tony! Omar, Dwane, and Tony- The three musketeers who made a move that I was dreading to do completely alone a breeze. I was informed at all times of what was going on, what time frame everything could happen in and they let me know they could start early this morning. I had slept at 3 am from packing and trashing and was exhausted, to say the least, all moves are difficult. Omar- informed me of everything and worked on making sure all my items were wrapped and securely delivered. Dwane- worked tirelessly without any hesitation to the amount of work that was there, Tony- Brought the jokes and equally stayed focused on the task ahead At no point did I feel I had made a mistake- primarily the opposite- I had never used movers and I thought to myself- 'How have I never used movers'!!! These guys were respectful, mindful, pleasant, had amazing work ethic and worked very efficiently. Thank you so much for everything and I will definitely use you all in the future and recommend the three of you personally. Sincerely, Ruchi :)

Let me start by saying if I could give zero stars here, I would…read more I contacted this company about a move, indicating that I was moving from a 2nd floor 1 bedroom with approximately 1700 lbs worth of stuff to a 1st floor apartment about half a mile away. They sent me an estimate for $402 that included 3 movers at $115/hr as well as a $57.50 truck rental. Because I didn't have that much stuff we estimated that, all told, it would take about 3 hours. Everything seemed fine, so I e-signed the estimate and arranged for a move window between 11am and 1pm. The first red flag was when they told me they didn't take credit cards--only cash or check. In 2019 that's a little suspect, and who even has a check book anymore, but they came recommended to me, so I pulled out $500 cash just incase the move went over a little. On the day of the move 4 guys arrived, and the leader informed me it was now a fee of $145/hr, plus a higher fee for the truck. Then he looked at my apartment and told me that all of my stuff would take 4-6 hrs to move. All told, on the spot he told me the move would be at least $800 and that if I don't have the cash to cover it, they would only move an estimated $500 worth of my stuff. It was the last day of the month and I had to be out, so I started panicking. I told him I didn't have $800 to spend on this move and that all of this wasn't in the agreement I e-signed. He told me I could always Chase pay him the difference. And that's when I knew this guy was trying to run a scam. I called his boss who kept telling me that 4 guys were better than 3 and it would take less time. He absolutely would not listen to me when kept saying this was not what we scoped for nor was it what I had signed on for. He assured me that the movers would move my things and we could work out the difference later if it went over. During the move out the lead guy lectured me on how much stuff I have and told me my TV table was cheap and I should buy a nicer one. And even though my landlord required all moving to be done out the back of the building, he didn't like how far the walk was, so he informed me he'd be using the front door. Two things: First of all, I don't have a lot of stuff. I'm not a minimalist, but I'm def not a hoarder either. It was a normal (and clean) 1 bedroom apartment. Second I like my TV table, but yeah, it was cheap because I like saving money. But that is beside the point. In the end, we didn't go over on cost, because like I said, I really didn't have that much stuff. The whole process took just over two hours. On the other hand, the movers didn't move all of my things. They refused to take my computer and some boxes that had my cleaning supplies in them. The guy said he might break the computer and didn't want to be responsible for it, and that the cleaning supplies were liquid and he didn't want to deal with them. I ended up having to make two additional Uber trips to get the remaining items to my new place. One last thing about this whole miserable experience--one of the movers took a massive shit in my new bathroom and the apartment smelled like it for about an hour after the fact, despite the opening of windows. I will not be using these people again.

Steer clear of this company. They are a complete scam…read more Long story short, they box you into a corner and make you pay much more than your estimate. They are absolutely non responsive to inquiries regarding your goods after load up, and never respond to claims filed after delivery. The detailed story... We worked with a 3rd party moving company (Allied Transportation) that subcontracted with Rapid Relocation. We were provided a quote by Allied and informed that, the day of, Rapid Relocation would video our goods and inform us of any changes. The first tip off was the estimated START time - we were provided a window of 4 to 6pm. I've had multiple cross country pack ups, during NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS. They showed up just before 6pm with only two guys (we were told there would be three). After a quick walk around (no video) we were told we had more goods than estimated, but we'd have to wait until they were completed. They didn't come with the necessary boxes (such as wardrobe and dish pack), so had to run back to the warehouse to get more. Because of the short staffing and delays, they were packing and loading until almost MIDNIGHT (which is unacceptable, my mom is 70yo). Typically there is a person inventorying boxes with colored numbered stickers to ensure your stuff stays together. I didn't realize this step was skipped until the truck was half loaded. The guy assured me he was "taking count". At the end, they increased my quote by nearly 30%. He pointed to some lines at the top of the truck and said that was how the cubic foot estimate was made. I have pictures of the truck that show there was definitely dead space. But at this point, they have your stuff hostage - what can you do? Refuse to pay and they drive off with everything? Or unload it and keep the initial deposit? It was midnight, I was exhausted, so paid and figured we'd set things straight upon delivery. While things were en route and stored, they go radio silent. We had no idea where our stuff was or when we would get it. Working through Allied got us no where. They told us we could call/text RR, which never resulted in any response. Allied also informed us we could dispute the overage by obtaining evidence at pick-up of the true cubic footage. Fast forward almost a month...our delivery is finally scheduled (so grateful to finally hear from them!!). They tell us they should be there by 5pm, but arrive closer to 7pm with only two guys. My husband was there to video tape the unloading so we could confirm they overcharged us at pack up. But payment is demanded up front, so we are again held hostage and MUST PAY. Once they open the door, we realize there are multiple shipments on the truck with no clear delineation. Because of how the boxes were labeled (or rather, not) it wasn't clear what was ours. We literally had to guess on some things, which it not acceptable. My mom's mattress and boxspring, which were wrapped at loading, were laying on the floor of a dirty truck without protection. To make matters worse, it was pouring rain. But instead of them taking boxes inside one would push my mom's items to the foot of the truck and let it get drenched while the other guy did the running. Boxes were literally disintegrating in the hallway as they were brought in, furniture was pulled apart based on how it was handled. We had to ask them to put down protection for the floors or remove their shoes (this is standard practice). We paid for a package that was to include reassembly of furniture such as the bed, but we had to haggle with the guys who did not seem to think this was their job. At the end of the day, we had numerous damaged goods and some missing items. If you go to RR website and file a claim, you are not given a claim number, their site just informs you that someone will respond in 24-48 hrs. Nothing happens. So I filed another claim, took screenshots of the claim, and send the PDF to their two email addresses. Again, no response. They also don't respond to phone/text. It's been more than a month, which is completely unacceptable. At this point, I have zero faith I'll ever hear from them. I truly believe both Allied and Rapid Relocation run a scam. You cannot reach RR directly, so I hold Allied partially responsible for this mess. Allied rejected the overage claim on behalf of RR, and say that they don't deal with claims. They wiped their hands clean of it all as soon as the move was completed. We've filed multiple complaints where we can, but it's infuriating to know companies can just take your money, damage your goods and continue to operate.

Please, for the love of God, return our bed. Or at least return our calls so we know when you will.read more
